B2 Chapter 4- Preparations

B2 Chapter 4- Preparations

“Hi there, I’m sure you all know who I am considering we met a few months ago, but let’s say it again, my name is Izuki Kazuya, I’m Hiiro’s loving father and your substitute teacher. Well, one of them.” Izuki carefully looked down at the hammer being just a few centimetres from his face.

“Exactly. I’m Miya Kazuya, Hiiro’s mother, your other substitute teacher. We’re only going to be teaching you all for maybe three months, as Jonathan has some other obligations to take care of.” Miya added, looking at the class while Hiiro attempted to shrink into nothingness.

His classmates seemed excited, understandable given that they were getting two seven Star Sages for teachers, but Hiiro knew things were going to go wrong…

“Oh, that seems fun, we look forward to learning!” Edward said cheerily, leaving Hiiro to palm his face, wishing that his friends realized that they were just encouraging the demonic nature of his parents.

“Oh we look forward to teaching! Jonathan has left a schedule for you all to follow in regards to teaching school-work, but he has left the training aspect up to us.” Izuki said, and for a moment Hiiro had hope up until he heard the final part of his father’s statement.

His parents were training maniacs and while Hiiro thrived there, it was an acquired thing.

Not only that, but today was a Friday. Most of the day was spent on training.

Hiiro wondered how many of his friends would still be able to stand after the training was over?

“Come along kids, let’s go train! Hiiro, Jonathan only gave us one bit of advice for you, you have to solidify your basics. You’ll be working one on one with me.” Miya said with her smile reaching her eyes…

That just left Hiiro whimpering, knowing his mother was arguably worse than his father when it came to how brutal she was.

It showed in her Manifestation which Hiiro had seen once or twice… Sobek was scary.

“As for the rest of you, I’ll be training you all. Don’t worry about favouritism, I’m actually a better teacher than my wife, even if she is arguably stronger.” Izuki wasn’t joking, his wife controlled Earth, Izuki was lucky if he managed to defeat her four times out of ten. More often it was a three or two out of ten.

It was just how their powers interacted, he struggled to hurt her with his Element while she was free to attack as she pleased. He only won when using purely physical means of attacks.

The Kazuya Pair walked ahead of the group, whispering sweet nothings into each-others ears and giggling as they walked, a pink aura surrounding them making Hiiro feel like puking.

“So Hiiro, any advice for us about how your parents teach?” Edward asked, nudging his friend in the side and snapping Hiiro out of his internal dilemma long enough for Hiiro to look at his friends, and then back to his parents.

“…Whatever they say might not make sense, but it works. You’ll think you’re dying a few times, but you won’t. And my parents believe in the basics.” Hiiro stated, his friends all worrying a bit at the first two statements, and knowing what Jonathan wanted from them, they had an idea of how (bad) this was about to go.

Arriving at their new training grounds, expanded thanks to being second years, the first years saw the two Kazuya’s splitting up, Hiiro wordlessly going to go join his mother while the other six students went towards Izuki Kazuya.

“Right, the headmaster said that I’m to say a few disclaimers before we begin. Firstly, no matter what you feel, you will recover before tomorrow. Secondly, no matter what screams you hear, they are figments of your imagination. Third, if you lose consciousness, don’t worry, you’ll be woken up in a moment to continue training.” Izuki finished off with a clap of his hands.

The students looked to each other, extreme worry in their eyes as they looked back to Izuki who was smiling, his katana in his hand.

“What, the headmaster never told me the disclaimer had to be good.” Izuki pointed out as he took a string, tying the sheathe of his katana to the hand-guard, making sure he wouldn’t be able to cut them…

He would ease them into the cutting part of the training.

“Uh, sir, Jonathan usually has us face each other in training most of the time, he only trains us like this once in a while…” Vince said, trying to get out of what was certain to be an extremely painful experience.

“Well I’m not Jonathan, and neither is my wife, I’d notice. I believe that consistently fighting those above your level is the best way to improve, after all, you try to equalize, and eventually surpass such people… and once you do, you realize that you have in fact become much stronger.” Izuki said, a far off look in his face leaving the students confused.

“Oh yeah, begin.” Izuki had barely finished the last word before he vanished, appearing next to Leah, aiming a strike at her skull.

Hiiro stood looking at his mother, spear in his hands as he heard a loud whack from the other side of the area.

“Looks like your father knocked out one of your friends… he’ll revive her soon, looks like she was the support member.” Hiiro felt a smidgen of sympathy for Leah before said sympathy died a painful death.

He couldn’t afford to be sympathetic when he had to go through his own struggles. Worry about himself first, others later.

“She’s a long-mid range fighter, she’s not used to someone bypassing her defences so easily.” Hiiro easily said, rushing forward, his spear thrusting out at his mother’s head.

Miya didn’t even bother summoning her hammer, she didn’t want to turn her son into paste after all, as she slid to the side, palm striking the shaft of the spear, deflecting it to the side.

Hiiro accepted the blow, following the path of the spear while pulling the head back, getting the non-pointy end to try and whack his mother.

Miya easily slid under the strike, moving forward to punch Hiiro, with Hiiro instead choosing to roll forward and away from his mother.

Miya knew not to follow Hiiro when he did such a thing, he was well trained to defend himself during a roll, and anyone who attacked him during such a thing would normally find themselves skewered in short order.

The spear Hiiro was using would probably snap if he did a proper thrust and actually struck his mother though… Miya’s natural defences were insane.

So instead of following Hiiro, Miya struck the ground, a wave rippling through the ground and tossing Hiiro into the air, drawing a shout of surprise from the boy.

Miya rolled her eyes, sliding forward and preparing an attack, Hiiro’s spear suddenly flashing out to attack her didn’t surprise Miya, her palm meeting the point of the spear, and Hiiro bounced backwards, the Wind around Hiiro actively working to slow down his descent to a manageable level.

Miya nodded with approval in her eyes. The fighting style of the Kazuya’s was to use the Elements as supplements to their weapons and physical skills.

The only time a Kazuya attacked with an Element alone was when there was no other choice, such as Miya’s use of the Earth to toss her son into the air.

“Mom, stop throwing me into the air.” Miya gave a soft giggle at Hiiro’s words, and he didn’t even bother trying to keep the argument going.

He was well aware that his footing would never truly be stable while fighting an Earth specialist. If even the ground beneath you couldn’t be trusted, Hiiro knew what to do.

“Right.” Hiiro sighed, rolling his neck and standing straight, his feet only slightly apart.

Any actual spear user would call Hiiro’s ‘stance’ absurd and not well balanced at all.

That was the point.

If Hiiro fought in an unstable stance from the beginning, whatever his mother did with his feet wouldn’t bother him as much.

It was an absurd thought, like cutting off an arm bitten by a poisonous animal, but Hiiro did it with minimal hesitation after the first time he sparred against his mother.

Miya stepped forward, the Earth rippling from beneath them, as spears rose from the ground in an attempt to impale Hiiro, to which Hiiro responded with a smirk, raising his fist, a burst of cold erupting from his hand, drawing a raised brow from Miya.

Her son… didn’t learn such a thing from her, or her husband.

Hiiro punched forward, a vortex of Ice extending from his hand, using Ice the ‘wrong’ way by having it rush forward, breaking the spikes of Earth by hitting them at the side, and continuing at Miya.

Miya chose discretion instead of valour, side-stepping and letting the wave of Ice… continue past her?

That’s when the burst of steam hit her back, having Miya widen her eyes and look behind her to the area her husband was fighting in.

“Thanks for the smokescreen!” She heard the burly Prince of the Empire shout towards Hiiro whose face went into a smirk, one hand on his spear, the other hand still misty from the cold generated.

“I wasn’t trying to help!” Hiiro shouted back, his face letting anyone who saw him know it was a lie, even as the steam built up, becoming a type of mist…

It wouldn’t help against Miya, Hiiro had to know this…

But steam had a way of messing with Izuki’s way of sensing his opponents, the water droplets in the air messing with his use of Lightning to detect his opponent…

Of course, he could simply discharge a bolt into the steam, but then he’d unnecessarily harm the students.

Miya and Izuki both smiled, for the same reason.

The Kazuya Pair had arranged this situation in an attempt to test those students apart from their son because they thought they knew his strength…

But while the Kazuya Pair were having separate fights-

“Sorry.” Liza said, slightly surprising Miya when she burst from the sudden fog, her feet landing on Miya’s shoulders as she kicked Miya backwards, leaving Miya stumbling a bit.

Well, ordinarily Miya could act as an immovable wall if she wanted, but she and Izuki were operating at four Star level instead of their true seven.

As Miya stumbled backwards she used the Earth to stabilize herself, only to see Hiiro vault over her using his spear to boost his height.

“Careful!” Hiiro shouted to Liza as he vanished the monochrome girl nodding in his direction before diverting all her attention to Miya, her monk-staff held in her hands.

“You, impress me.” Miya said with a look at the girl who just willingly stepped in to protect her son from a seven Star Sage…

Not that Miya would ever hurt Hiiro truly, but the thought was there.

“Approval. Thank you.” Liza said, rushing forward, and Miya held her hands in preparation for palm strikes.

With Izuki, he was surprised by what was going on, wondering when his son had time to plan such a thing with his friends, they were always in hearing distance, so how?

“Hey sir, got a moment?” Izuki slashed at the source of the voice, only to find nothing, and that’s when the two bullets impacted his back, the bullets breaking apart to reveal shells as vines grew around him, letting Izuki know who it was that just attacked him.

The gun user was a bit of a surprise until Izuki heard that he was a Makarov, though by now Makarov’s would have already traded to bows… this Makarov appeared more stubborn than most.

Izuki flexed his strength, limited as he kept it to four Stars, it was still enough to break the vines surrounding him…

Though it was apparently enough time for the Metal-Light girl to create one of her ‘blade bombs’ which struck at Izuki, the elder Kazuya having to use his katana to parry the attacks… then the ball of metal blades started to float.

Izuki stared in surprise, the blades melting to form a ball of steel which occasionally let a spike of metal out trying to hit him.

Lightning was considered a near perfect counter to Metal, but now Izuki was once more reminded that the norm was not always the truth.

Jade’s attack was a massive target to Izuki’s lightning, combined with the steam, Izuki’s Elemental attacks would either hit the ball of metal, or disperse into the steam for a lower powered shock to everyone in the area, which wasn’t an option.

“Surprised dad?” Izuki’s eyes widened as his son suddenly landed on the ball of metal, the metal smoothing out into a slide which Hiiro rode, thrusting out with his spear at Izuki.

That was admittedly a surprise… Hiiro was supposed to be fighting Miya. He’d know where everyone was if it wasn’t for the steam messing with his senses.

As a Lightning Sage, he sensed most people by using his passive static, magnified because of his power, to sense the static of others, or even the bio-electricity if he wanted to.

But with the steam, he couldn’t even sense the bio-electricity properly… so he didn’t know what was happening with his wife, though Miya should have been hot on Hiiro’s tail, so why…

Ah, the Time girl was missing, Izuki had been informed by the headmaster about her unique circumstances and so was understanding as to why she didn't control other elements.

No doubt, she was trying to stall Miya from facing Hiiro, and technically Izuki shouldn’t be attacking his son by their own rules…

Miya was fighting Hiiro, Izuki was fighting the others, they weren’t supposed to attack the other’s opponents.

“Well, rules are made to be broken.” Izuki shrugged as he swung his katana, blowing his son backwards where he suddenly stopped, caught by the steam itself…

Oh right, Izuki had revived the girl he knocked out in the beginning in the middle of the fight, to keep the fight going as long as possible…

That had to be how their gun user was throwing his voice around, with her assistance.

This team was good… too bad it didn’t count for much.

There was a boom and a notable moving of the steam as it vanished away from something…

That something was Miya, holding her massive hammer, which had hit the ground, the very pressure from the attack blowing back the steam and letting everything be seen…

“Crap.” Hiiro was going to get a stern talking to about his language after the fight, but for now, his parents smirked, his father extending a hand as Miya shot towards him.

Right, they had ‘broken’ the rules first, and so his parents wouldn’t hold back as much now.

It was worth a try Hiiro thought as his father magnetized his mother, calling her to his side, then spinning her and reversing their polarities, sending her flying towards Hiiro.

At least her hammer was gone.

That was the last thought Hiiro had for a while being knocked out when his mother clotheslined him into the ground.

When he was woken up later, by a small shock from his father, Hiiro looked around, noticing he was the last one to be woken up as his parents sat, waiting on Hiiro to properly wake up before speaking.

Once Hiiro was clearly all there, Izuki spoke, looking over the second years with confusion in his eyes.

“Whose idea was it to team up despite the separation?” Izuki was clearly hoping for someone to step up, thinking the Prince would have been the one given his role as the leader of the team, even if Hiiro and Liza were ‘stronger’.

“Uh, no one’s actually. We were surprised when Hiiro used an Ice attack ourselves.” Vince said with a confused look to the mentioned party.

“I saw Ed’s Fire attack, thought I’d take advantage to make steam… then Liza apparently took advantage of the steam to come over to my side, and I used the chance to attack my dad.” Izuki and Miya sent a glance to each other.

Did they just admit to doing such nonsense on the fly? No planning, they just decided ‘hey, let’s do this’ and managed to surprise the Kazuya Pair like that?

Were they actually four Star Sages the plan would have probably worked… in the end, Miya had used her Armament, and Izuki had used his Diversity, they had clearly gone a bit beyond ‘normal four Star Sage’ level.

Both of them looked back to the group, thinking about how crazy they would be when they were stronger…

“Okay then, we’ll get to that later. First, let’s talk about your strengths and weaknesses.” Izuki said, and the students groaned, already knowing how this went, even if the contents changed, by the end of it they’d always feel tired.

Meanwhile, on a train headed to the Empire, Jonathan walked with a tray, a kettle of tea and two teacups and saucers on the tray along with a few pastries, crumpets and scones.

Looking at the tray, Jonathan nodded, turning to walk away, only for the waiter to speak up, the same waiter who handed him the tray.

“Uh, sir, shouldn’t we have the waiters and waitresses take that to your cabin?” The waiter, a normal human, was extremely respectful, more than he normally would be to a Sage of Jonathan’s strength…

Jonathan understood the reason for the man’s respect, and didn’t begrudge him for it, instead turning, his face blank.

“No need, thank you.” Jonathan walked away, the suit he wore perfectly clean and without wrinkle as he opened the door to his cabin.

Walking over to the lone table of the cabin, Jonathan set down the tray without spilling anything, calmly pouring out two cups of tea before taking his seat, looking up and into the eyes of his wife.

“Oh Jonathan, I don’t know why you get me these every time.” Rabia Grant, previously of the Baqri family, and King of Wind said demurely as she picked up her teacup, taking a tiny sip.

“You enjoy the niceties dear. And before you made me out to be a slob, I used to enjoy such things too.” Jonathan said, his posture aristocratic and refined as he sipped on his tea.

His students would believe it to be some other person instead of their lazy slob of a teacher, it was impossible for them to be the same person…

It wasn’t Jonathan’s fault that he took ‘clothes make the man’ a bit too seriously.

“I didn’t… okay I did, but that’s not much of a bad thing… if you dressed like this all the time I’d have to beat the women off with a stick.” Rabia said with a soft smile, a gentle brush of Wind felt against his shoulder letting Jonathan know that his wife was joking.

“I only dress like this for you. The only other times I wear a suit, do you really think I’m this impeccable?” Jonathan reminded.

During serious events at Elem, Jonathan would wear a suit, yes, but his hair was still messy, and one or two other things would be wrong, such as an un-tucked shirt or skew tie.

Now he had nothing wrong, and it really was a nice sight for Rabia.

“I understand honey… By the way, did I mention what Yusuf had been getting up to?” Jonathan looked up from his tea to his wife with a raised brow, signifying his curiosity as Rabia giggled.

“No you had not. As long as you don’t mention what he has been doing behind closed doors with those two girls, I am all ears.” Jonathan had a very… Empire-like way of speaking when with his wife.

He was originally from there in the first place, and she liked the accent… though Jonathan lost and picked up accents as he pleased.

“Honey, I’m not going to look at our son’s sex life. That’s just wrong.” Jonathan shivered at even the idea, getting a roll of the eyes from Rabia who took the opportunity to take a sip of her tea.

“No, what I was going to mention was that he is in China right now, heading towards Beijing… he is probably going to the large Mystic Zone near the capital so as to shake off his pursuers.” Jonathan paused in his attempt to eat a scone and looked to his wife with narrowed eyes.

“…Pursuers? I doubt Yusuf would do anything to make people want to attack him, he has a habit of making everyone adore him.” Jonathan reminded how Yusuf managed to get second and third year students on his side when he was a first year.

“He sure does… he didn’t get that from you or I, but he is truly leader material because of that skill… so is it any wonder my family grew interested?” Jonathan very carefully sat his cup down, and kept his palms on his lap.

Unfortunately the Darkness wafting off of his shoulders revealed to all who were to see that Jonathan was angry.

“Your family… is interested in Yusuf? I take it they sent assassin’s already?” Rabia nodded and Jonathan took a deep breath.

Outside of the train carriage, the Wind howled and screamed as shadows moved along it, rending nearby trees and gouging them apart as Jonathan calmed down.

“Yes, Yusuf wouldn’t have issues with them even if he was alone, with those two girls he handled them even easier. It seems they are testing Yusuf for his candidacy to take over as head of the family.” Rabia said, and Jonathan growled slightly.

“Rabia, you are the head of the family. You ordered a stop to all assassinations, that they are attempting to make Yusuf head instead of you-” Jonathan was interrupted as his voice suddenly vanished even as his mouth moved, making Jonathan shut his mouth after realizing what his wife was doing.

“They are trying to subvert me. If there is another suited to be head of the family, and they pass the tests, the elders may then vote as to who the true head of the family is. I doubt they’d vote for me given my distaste for assassination.” Rabia said calmly and Jonathan kept his cool.

If he got angry, his wife would just erase his voice as she had just moments ago.

“So they plan on having our son as the head of that family, a family of assassin’s… he isn’t even a five Star Sage yet, aren’t the elders in your family seven Star at minimum?” Jonathan asked, getting a nod from his wife.

“Yes they are, but they are sticklers for tradition, even if they are stronger, they will obey Yusuf’s commands should he become the head of the family. Yusuf, so long as he passes the tests, will be safe.” Rabia added, and Jonathan frowned.

“And what if Yusuf doesn’t abolish assassination as you have? Yusuf isn’t the same as you, or me. He is pragmatic and willing to work with those he hates to further his plans if necessary.” Jonathan pointed out.

He did not find fault in this nature of his son, Yusuf would live a long life with his way of thinking, cautious, bold when necessary, a capable leader able to make those who would otherwise hate each other work together.

It was just that Rabia went through a lot to prevent the Baqri from assassinating again, an entire family of Rogue Sages, if Yusuf allowed them to kill others and accept such missions again, no matter his own views, Yusuf would be considered a Rogue Sage.

Jonathan didn’t want to hear about bounty hunters after his own son, because regardless Jonathan would protect Yusuf… Rabia…

Rabia might. Nah, she would definitely protect their son, but no one but another King would be able to point her out as the person.

Her Aura’s range was way too high for other Sages to be able to believe.

Even in the Empire Rabia would be able to sense what was happening to Yusuf over in Beijing. That was an absurd range, and according to Rabia she had the most area covered in her Aura out of all the Kings, though her Aura was suitably weaker than other Kings in exchange.

The Silent Wind was a detection based Aura, allowing Rabia to easily feel what happened in her range, but she’d only be able to tell details when she focused on that area.

The brain wasn’t designed to be able to know everything going on in a line of roughly eight thousand two hundred kilometres.

She’d even be able to attack at that range, though her attacks would probably be around four, five Star if she were to fight with people in Beijing right now.

Jonathan smiled though, knowing that his wife’s main use of such power was making sure he and their son were safe, to always know where they were and protect them.

“Should he allow the Baqri to be assassin’s once more, well, I will not stop him… I don’t know what Yusuf has planned, but if he lets them move, then I can only assume that he would need their help to achieve his goals.” Rabia said, finishing her tea, getting Jonathan to stand and pour her some more.

“In which case, getting rid of them and stopping Yusuf would only truly alienate him. He’d probably forgive us, and he’d find a way to complete his goals even without the Baqri… but I don’t really want him mad at us.” Jonathan noted and Rabia nodded.

Did they spoil Yusuf? Jonathan would have to say no, they hadn’t, up until the day he entered Elem High they trained him hard, and he didn’t get anything he hadn’t earned by doing odd jobs around the neighbourhood or doing chores for his parents.

So now that he was out of the house, was it really so wrong to want to let him do as he pleased after forcing him to mature earlier than he should have?

Who knew? Parenting was tough; Jonathan would admit it to anyone.

“Just let him make his choices and mistakes. It’s part of living after all.” Rabia pointed out and Jonathan sighed, understanding that it really was that simple.

“Other than Yusuf, did you notice anything else interesting?” Jonathan asked after a few minutes, he and Rabia just sitting in silence, drinking their tea and having their pastries.

Rabia had quite the love for crumpets, and Jonathan could relate.

“Nothing much, I can only focus on so large an area at a time after all… the only other place I was looking at was the Empire. Clara and Kai are there already, and I’m certain I felt Grigory bringing his forest closer…” Jonathan rolled his eyes, mentally attaching their titles to their names.

As the husband of one of the Kings he knew each by name rather than by title, but he wasn’t their equal. He was quite a long way from that.

“Grigory would be the only one of the schooling Kings capable of bringing his entire school with him wherever he went…” Jonathan pointed out, drawing a pout from Rabia.

“Obviously. As for Uther, I’ve never been able to sense him in his home, and he doesn’t leave it, but I doubt he’s missing from the Empire… I sympathize with him.” Jonathan clenched his fist, well aware of why his wife would sympathize with the old King.

“So that’s four of you, five if we include you… what about Yule, isn’t he with the Academy?” Jonathan raised his brow in question, and Rabia nodded.

“Yes he is, though I doubt he even greeted the others… Yule has always been a solitary man, the only King he’d go out of his way to acknowledge would be Donovan, and that’s only because of their rivalry.” Rabia pointed out, and Jonathan upped the tally to six Kings within the Empire’s capital.

“That leaves Donovan, Goku, Elior and the Titan.” Jonathan did not know the name of the Earth King, as he had never met them and the other Kings rarely spoke about their compatriot.

“Donovan and Goku will be arriving near the end of the year for the International Juniors, it’s being hosted at Valour this year. As for Elior, he is never late what with being the fastest King.” Rabia pointed out, and Jonathan agreed, the King of Light would never be late to anything when he was that fast.

“As for the Titan… who knows when they’ll arrive. They like being difficult because of their title as the ‘weakest’ King.” Rabia reminded, even with Jonathan frowning.

“I would think that you would have at least let the Titan know the truth about that title.” Jonathan added and Rabia shrugged.

“If the Titan is to blind to their own power, then of course they will be the weakest. The Titan is the weakest in most situations… but there are things only they can do.” Jonathan nodded, knowing that the Titan was one of the only Kings that were qualified to be invited by the leader of the Hermits.

Or so Clara stated. Of the Kings, only four could be considered ‘Hermit-level’ and that would be Clara, Elior, Goku and if they were to understand their power, the Titan.

Kai Lanakila, third strongest King he may be, their rankings were decided mostly by ability to fight one on one… these rankings didn’t take into account ability to fight multiple enemies at once, or certain Diversities.

“Speaking of power… Jonathan, when are you going to advance?” Jonathan looked out the train, the Darkness hiding nothing to a Sage of the Element as he thought.

“Probably… when we arrive at the Empire? It’ll take me a while to stabilize my power after I try to progress.” Jonathan said with a hum of thought, getting a giggle from his wife.

“Oh Jonathan, you just want to stay with me until the meeting… I want you to promise me that after you reach six Stars, you’ll go back to Berlin. I know you want to teach your students.” Rabia interrupted Jonathan before he could even speak in protest.

“…Yes dear.” Jonathan finally said, getting a smile from Rabia.

“Good. Now can you help me to bed, I’d like to sleep before we get there?” Rabia asked, Jonathan’s eyes narrowing as he gave a soft smile.

“Of course dear.” Jonathan stood, pushing in his chair before he walked over to his wife.

Clicking the brakes on the wheelchair, Jonathan moved the chair closer to the bed, before lifting up his wife in a classic bridal carry and setting her onto the bed, seated on the edge.

“Do you need anything before you go sleep?” Jonathan asked as his wife laid down in bed, having been in her pyjamas the entire time…

Seeing the stumps where once there were legs always left Jonathan angry, but unable to act on said anger.

“Nothing much honey… don’t stay up too late now.” Rabia said, a tired smile on her face as she yawned, moving herself with minimal difficulty, unwilling to use her Element for something as simple as putting herself into bed.

“I won’t… I’ll be about a half hour before I join you.” Jonathan said, though Rabia was already half way asleep, tired as she was…

Jonathan stood after hearing the soft breathing of his wife even out into slumber, walking to a nearby desk where he sat, his phone on the desk and a piece of paper as he reviewed certain things, still lost in thought.

Jonathan’s Diversity was healing, because he wished so hard to heal his wife…

But it would never happen. Not when it was an injury caused by using Elemental Evocation.

The Sixth and Final Art was what took the legs of Rabia Grant.
