"My god!" I shouted annoyed. "Can these commercials stop it already!"
Recently a new game was released for the Doninten Shift, boX, and the PlayDepot 8. It is being marketed mega hard and the hype for it is real. When the sale started last week, there were stores with lines reaching up to 2 hours of waiting. And that, in multiple places around the world. People even slept in front of the stores for days. It was almost like a homeless camp popped up everywhere.
Anyways, I am currently walking back home from school. I can't wait to get back, drop on the couch, and finish up Throne of Games. Man, that show is awesome.
[Store speaker: Rid the world from evil! Become the one and only hero! Will you be able to save Eldoria from the tyrannical grip of the king? Out now, Eclipse of Eldoria.]
"URGH!!!!" I grabbed my head in frustration. "Why don't these shops just feck off with their shitty game sales."
It is not that I hate games. I even like a lot of them. But I have played this game in early access and MY GOD! It sucks big time. The gameplay is boring, the story is way too generic and cliche, graphics are.... well, let's not talk about those.
As I came close to a crossing, the light turned green.
"He, lucky me."
As I was halfway through the first lane of traffic, a truck suddenly came flying towards me. For a moment I thought I was a goner, but luckily the truck was able to stop just in time. The driver apologized and we went on our merry ways. The next crossing I got green again. Still wary of the last crossing I looked to see if nothing was coming to hit me. Luckily, the streets looked empty, so I took the leap and crossed.
Halfway down the 2nd lane, I heard something and suddenly another truck rammed through a garage door and stopped in the middle of the crossing. I had to jump out of the way, otherwise, I would be dead meat right now. The driver said he started the car and the gas pedal was jammed. So when they started the car it flew straight through the garage door. After checking with me if I was alright, I managed to calm down and tried to get back home ASAP.

No more crossings from this point on, so I should be safe. I thought to myself worrily.
As I was almost home I heard someone yell.
"HELP!!! Somebody HELP". A woman shouted.
As fast as I could I ran towards the scream and to my surprise I saw a group of 7 guys harassing a girl from the same school as me. At least she had the same uniform.
Well, time to help her out. I thought.
As I ran towards the guys I didn't see one standing behind a tree. The moment I reached the 7 guys, the 8th one was behind me, and just as I was about to stand in front of the girl to protect her, I got shoved from behind. I flew forward and into the girl. We both tumbled to the pavement, though we didn't land too hard.
When I looked up I saw 2 bright lights and immediately realized I was, again, on a crosswalk and yet another truck seemed to be coming my, I mean, our way.
Are you freaking kidding me? What's up with all the trucks?!!
There wasn't time to jump out of the way anymore and I instinctively grabbed the girl tight and braced for impact. When the screeching tires turned silent, I looked up and was looking at the front grill of the truck.
What the feck. How many lives have I remaining?
Somewhere a bit further behind the now very close truck I heard a sound and 2 seconds later everything was black.
"Well, shit. Did something else really just hit Truck-kun to help me be isekai-ed? I thought that only happened in anime and manga."
Completely disorientated, I tried to make sense of my surroundings. There were 2 streams of light rising from the floor to the ceiling. The rest was dark and I couldn't see anything.
"Well, that took a couple of tries. My god, you really don't die easily." A male voice suddenly spoke from all around me.
Surprised, I jumped back a little. "Who are you? and where am I?"
"Hahaha, you don't have to worry about that. I want to have a bit of fun and I saw you just walking there with that blank expression. I think I have a way to cheer you up. good luck!"
With a big laugh he basically hung up on me, but what normally doesn't happen is everything around me turning dark.
"You stupid... uhm.... thing!" I yelled.
"I heard that you know!" The voice suddenly said. "But ok, for the trouble I'll make the fun double." He said while there was an audible chuckle when he finished. "Have fun now!"
When I woke up, it took me a moment to understand what was going on. I saw a faint red glow partially around me. It was pretty bumpy as well, from time to time. It was warm and I could swear I heard people talking somewhere.
But apart from all that, there is but one thing that is the most confusing, I felt like I was moving 2 bodies.
The warmness around me made me feel tired and I fell into a deep sleep.
