His advancement, though modest, made sense, as this was his first attempt at cultivation. However, what truly piqued his interest was the session's length: 1 hour and 32 minutes. Hadn't ORION mentioned a one-hour limit? Intrigued by this discrepancy, he turned to ORION for clarification.
<
'This give us a very big advantage,' Desmond mused
Driven by a sudden curiosity, he asked, 'ORION, would it be feasible for you to analyze other individual’s physical parameters?' he inquired, his thoughts brimming with inquisitiveness.
Pausing momentarily, ORION affirmed, <
Desmond's focus shifted to the front of the carriage, his intent clear. ‘Let’s try it on them'
After some time, the gentle rocking of the carriage suddenly ceased, granting the fatigued horses a well-deserved break.
A spark of mischief danced in Desmond's eyes as he seized the opportunity, with a swift movement, he gracefully stepped out.
Casting a glance around, he found Cedric and Lucian. They had gathered around a near cluster of sunlit boulders, their laughter echoing softly as they indulged in light banter and stretches, dispelling the weariness from their muscles.
Desmond, sensing the perfect window of interaction, gracefully made his way towards them. His voice, gentle yet firm, carried an undertone of gratitude. "It dawned upon me that amidst the chaos, I never truly thanked you. Those Haliron impostors dressed in Veridian uniforms, how did you know they weren't genuine?"
Lucian, slightly taller, exchanged a knowing glance with the more robust Cedric. Taking a deep breath, he began, "The devil's in the details, as they say. Their attire may scream Veridian, but their speech, the tiny imperfections in their dialect, gave them away."
Chiming in while tracing a battle scar on his forearm, Cedric shared, "I also noticed residual bloodstains on a few of them — likely remnants of unfortunate Veridian soldiers they'd previously engaged. You develop a discerning eye for these telltale signs after clashing with the Haliron legions for decades." His gaze momentarily clouded, echoing the depth of his battle-scarred memories.
Desmond nodded, appreciation evident in his eyes. "Your sharp instincts and dedication are commendable. I'm fortunate to have you both by my side." Extending a handshake, he added, "I truly appreciate your efforts. Thank you."
Their hands met, a bond fortified. Unbeknownst to the guards, ORION's sensors sprang to life, delicately channeling minute electrical currents through Desmond.
Bidding a respectful farewell to the duo, Desmond's footsteps retraced the path back to his carriage sanctuary. The cushions, now seemingly more inviting, cradled him.
As the carriage resumed its rhythmic journey, he leaned back, the ceiling offering a canvas for his thoughts. Eager to divert his mind from the monotonous landscape, he silently urged ORION to display their physical parameters.
Cedric:
Physical stats:
* STR (Strength): 25.256
* AGI (Agility): 33.602
* END(Endurance): 25.653
* CON (Constitution): 26.847
* DEX (Dexterity): 32.492
* PERC (Perception): 26.219
Lucian:
Physical stats:
* STR (Strength): 20.150
* AGI (Agility): 25.233
* END(Endurance): 18.651
* CON (Constitution): 21.285
* DEX (Dexterity): 24.823
* PERC (Perception): 18.462
Poring over the details with intense focus, Desmond was struck by their numbers. The metrics clearly showed that their physical capabilities were exceptionally higher than that of an average adult human, over fourfold in some aspects.

Given these figures, it wouldn’t be strange if both Lucian and Cedric had been considerably modest about their true strength, hiding it during their skirmish with the Haliron troops.
Intrigued and wanting to dig deeper, Desmond reached out mentally to ORION, 'Considering our latest training sessions and the information you've extracted from Cedric and Lucian, could you provide me some raw data on how the ambient Essence is absorbed and integrated within the human body?'
<
Leveraging ORION's vast data processing capabilities, Desmond began to piece together a clearer picture. It became evident that the trio - Cedric, Lucian, and himself - had a unique variant of Essence coursing through their veins, integrated seamlessly with their blood, distinct from the ambient Essence that he could feel in the environment and deep within his Essence core.
A pressing question manifested, 'How does the Essence, which behaves akin to quantum particles, merges with the hemoglobin molecules on their blood, despite the energy barriers posed by the protein's electron configuration?'
Lost in thought, a sudden realization struck him. 'Could the... could the Essence be Quantum Tunnelling?'
The pieces began to fit. Rather than simply adhering to or existing alongside the hemoglobin, the Essence was quantum-tunneling into hemoglobin's intricate structure, specifically its oxygen-binding sites. This fusion birthed a new quantum state for hemoglobin, which Desmond aptly termed: Bio-Energy.
This union was deep, bridging quantum intricacies with biological functionalities.
The Bio-Energy's stability was seemingly safeguarded by the delicate Van der Waals and London Dispersion Forces. Originating from quantum fluctuations, these forces anchored the Essence securely within the hemoglobin, preserving the Bio-Energy's composition and inhibiting its release from the cultivator's bodies.
Armed with this startling revelation, Desmond found himself shifting his perspective, deeply contemplating the intricate web and nuances of cultivation, delving into its mechanics.
He postulated, with the help of ORION's data-driven insights, that the specific breathing exercises of cultivation, not only enhanced respiratory efficiency but also markedly amplified circulatory prowess. As the cultivator's blood flow intensified, the Bio-Energy flowing within reciprocated.
While navigating the body, these Bio-Energy particles— each possessing its own minute charge — generated magnetic ripples as they moved, akin to how moving electric charges in conductors produce magnetic fields.
When these magnetic ripples experienced fluctuations due to changes in the circulatory speed of the Bio-Energy particles, they induced an electric field in the surrounding space, following the principles of the Faraday's Law.
This electromagnetic interaction acted as a beacon, magnetically attracting the external Essence, facilitating its infusion into the bloodstream’s hemoglobin, and progressively boosting the cultivator's Bio-Energy concentration.
As the Bio-Energy coursed through, it permeated the cultivator's cells, aligning with the mitochondria —often dubbed the cell's powerhouse.
This synergy led to the birth of ATPE, a more evolved and potent variant of the well-understood ATP molecule (Adenosine Triphosphate) —the primary cellular energy molecule. The metabolization of ATPE unleashed energy magnitudes greater than its conventional ATP counterpart.
In this way, augmented by Bio-Energy, the cell underwent metabolic enhancements that, leveraging the energy generated by the ATPE, led to an accelerated recovery, bolstered muscular strength and agility, amplified cognitive faculties, and honed sensory perceptions – hallmarks of cultivators.
Further insights unfurled, painting a comprehensive picture of the interplay between this new form of energy and the human body.
Excess Bio-Energy, instead of simply dispersing, sought other cellular components when the mitochondria were bypassed. Finding solace with phospholipids, the foundational elements of the cell membrane. Through this affiliation, a bond was formed, strengthening the cells and significantly fortifying their endurance against external stressors.
Meanwhile, any leftover Essence particles, the ones that remained unconverted into Bio-Energy, were systematically and diligently expelled from the body. This methodical release not only ensured the optimal utilization of the Essence but also safeguarded the body from the potential hazards arising from Essence over-accumulation.
It became clear that this intricate process of slow release was the reason why cultivators had time constraints on their practices.
Taking a moment to digest all this, ORION finally shared his thoughts. <
Desmond's eyes sparkled with the glow of newfound knowledge and excitement. As the implications settled in, his excitement grew.
‘This... this is revolutionary!’ he exclaimed internally, a wave of enthusiasm sweeping over him. ‘Imagine if we can replicate the cultivator’s inherent ability to produce Bio-Energy. The potential applications could reshape our world! From devising cures for the deadliest of diseases, to retarding the aging process, or even creating superhuman warriors infused with this newfound energy. What we might bring back to Earth could change its trajectory forever!’
As his thoughts raced, he mused further, ‘The beauty of Essence is its incredible adaptability and versatility.’ He emphasized each word, underlying the gravity of his realization. ‘Its fluidity, its unwavering capacity to evolve and integrate into a myriad of stable structures— that's where its true wonder lies. Bio-Energy, after all, is just one manifestation, one facet of this limitless potential.
If we manage to unlock its complete capabilities… it wouldn't be hyperbole to say that we'd be holding the building blocks of creation. Given the right tools and knowledge, mankind might very well touch the realms of the divine.’
His mind raced, but as he allowed himself a brief pause, the weight of his thoughts bore down on him. An unsettling realization crept in. He might be venturing towards beings that have known and mastered this Essence for eons. Were the Magi mere myths or did they truly exist? A chill ran down his spine at the thought.
‘Could I be nearing an encounter with entities that have unraveled these mysteries? Who've transcended human constraints?’ he pondered, a mix of reverence and trepidation in his tone. ‘Could these Magi truly be, in every sense of the word, gods?’ The profoundness of his reflection engulfed him, intensifying the anticipation for the enigmatic path ahead.
