Chapter 2 - Havoc

Chapter 2 - Havoc

Grey clouds slowly infect the blue sky, small hints of red flash through the sun’s fading light which scares the people of Bazo.

Havoc watched the chaos of his people from his palace, he alerted his wife to join him.

“Mula, the dragons…I’m afraid they’re getting worse.” He complained. “I thought you asked your father’s servants to back off…?”

“I did, my love..You know how stubborn he is, besides, those are scottish dragons, they aren’t interested in warfare…At least not with us.” Mula sighed, she rested her head on Havoc’s shoulder as the married couple watched a red dragon land in their territory.

Mula jumped up immediately, she recognized the dragon as the one Meiying played on when she was just a toddler.

Mula spotted Meiying’s favorite dragon, but not Meiying herself. “It’s Meiying. She’s in trouble!” Mula cried, Havoc followed her and watched as she packed a few things to carry on a surprise trip. “This is the doing of Wrath, he and his dragons must’ve done something to my dear sister! I won’t let this happen, she could be dead by now!”

“I shall join you-” Havoc stepped behind Mula, putting his fist to his chest, a sign of loyalty used in Nigeria.

“No! However, you can still help. Find Wrath, and kill him. I shall fly the dragon back to my father’s land. Hopefully, I’ll find Meiying in the process.” Mula commanded, she kissed Havoc goodbye before running to the hurt Jingshu’s dragon.

Havoc ran outside, but he was too late, Mula was already fading into the grey clouds, all he could do was find the way to Wrath’s kingdom to defend his and his wife’s honor.

Night fell, a sorceress approached Havoc and his four servants.

“I understand you needeth my sorcery..” The sorceress bowed before pulling out candles and a large leather book. “Before we get started, I’d like to warn you, there’s a man after you, sir.'' Havoc looks at his assistants in confusion, they know nothing of this man, so they just brush that comment off. “How can I be of service?”

Havoc showed the sorceress a picture of his lost son, and a picture of the man he thought was responsible. The sorceress nodded her head and jammed her stick into the ground, she carved a circle into the orange dirt. The sorceress stood in the middle of it, sprinkling maple leaves and cherry blossoms. The sorceress hid her face even more as the spell started, the magic quickly grew out of control. The untamed winds blew and blew until the sorceress was revealed. It was Meiying…

Havoc’s assistants quickly grabbed Meiying so she wouldn't get away, Havoc demanded she explain herself. “Why are you here? Is this a pawn from your father?” Havoc questioned. Meiying coughed up some dirt before falling to the ground.

“This is my doing, and now that Mula’s off to save me, and return the dragon, I can do what I’d like.” Meiying laughed, throwing her cloak that landed on one assistant's head. Havoc looked confused so she further went into her plan. “I was never in danger, I flew the dragon near some rocks so it could look beat up. I wanted to get back at my father for being so strict on me...I thought that since he cared about Mula so much, when he finds her dead or injured he’ll know that I’m my own person! ”

“So you sacrificed the only sister that understood you, you had her fly to Wrath’s territory to save you, so you could have a little taste of freedom, yes? It won’t be long until you find out that we aren’t peaceful! Nothing about this place is peaceful!” Havoc warned, Meiying crossed her arms in confusion. The wind grew more wild, and eventually, there was a sandstorm. All of Havoc’s people ran to take cover, Meiying watched in shock as multiple kinds of birds dropped from the sky.

“This was never supposed to happen…I just wanted to be free, I never wanted to hurt anyone!” Meiying sobbed into the walls of Havoc’s palace, reality was just setting in for her.

“This entire interaction shows that you’re not mature enough to be free! I was supposed to be searching for my son and his mother but I can’t now because of you!” Meiying sunk to the ground while Havoc towered over her, “I was just starting to heal from what happened to my son, by starting a new family, but I can’t now. Mula’s pregnant, you were going to be an aunt.” Havoc walked away, leaving Meiying by herself;
