Chapter 1: Armageddon.

Chapter 1: Armageddon.

In the windy kingdom of Tuvelo, Armageddon rests in his royal throne. He watches as his commoners, knights, and servants pass him like they usually do.

Something felt off to him, he wasn’t as laid back as he would like. The usual silence was interrupted by a servant dropping a pot full of tea made for Chaka, Armageddon’s wife. The servant happened to drop the tea where the paintings kept for Armageddon’s family were, the one of his eldest daughter, Mula, stuck out the most. Long ago, she was taken by an unknown man that claimed to be her lover. Armageddon vowed to kill that man, whatever it took to do so.

In the meantime, his youngest daughter, Meiying left the palace in a hurry, off to the Lake of Truth.

Armageddon thought this was suspicious, so he followed her. He found her on her knees throwing maple leaves into the water, reciting an ancient Chinese poem written by Jingshu, a dragon-taming warrior.

“Meiying, what are you up to?” Armageddon asked, curious about her basket of leaves.

“I heard one of the villagers say that if I spread maples in the Lake of Truth, a dragon would come to me.” Meiying responded, she sounded quite hopeful.

“A dragon, you say? You’re too young to be interested in such violence.” Armageddon scolded.

“Dragons are gorgeous, peaceful, and intelligent creatures! They aren’t hostile unless provoked!” Meiying shouted so loud that some of the maple leaves started to move.

“I’m just trying to protect you, sweet blossom…I’m doing this out of love…” Armageddon sighed.

“Doing what?” Meiying snapped, still focused on the maple leaf theory.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

“As the great emperor of Tuvelo, I hereby ban you from finding and/or owning a Tuvelan dragon.” Armageddon stood tall, his armor shining in the morning sun, Meiying however, grew so angry that she crushed one of the leaves in her hand.

“You will regret this, father…” Meiying growled, she threw a fist full of leaves at Armageddon’s feet before storming off. Armageddon sighed, and went to check on his villagers, one of them, fell to his feet.

“Your Grace, we have an issue. Our strongest dragons have gone missing, almost every one of them are heading toward Africa. My guess is that they wish to find  Master Jingshu..Or Lady Mula.” The servant stood up and faced Armageddon’s slow realization. The bright sky suddenly grows darker, Armageddon looks up to see his most dangerous dragon heading to his palace.

“Sir Armageddon! It’s Meiying, she’s missing!” Another servant yells before falling to her knees. “I’ve ran from the village to tell you that I saw her mount Jingshu’s dragon before flying away!”

“Havoc is at fault! He took one of my daughters, he will not take another!” Armageddon shouted, Chaka ran to the Lake of Truth because she heard so much commotion.

“What’s wrong? Where is Meiying?” Chaka shivered at her husband’s anger, he stared daggers at her and the two servants.

“Meiying took Jingshu’s dragon. The servants think it’s under the influence of Havoc.” Armageddon dug his foot into the ground, “I shall find her, and I shall kill that terrible man so I could bring my girls home.”

“My sweet Meiying’s gone?! How could you let this happen?!” Chaka shouted at Armageddon, slightly pushing him.

“She wanted to own a dragon, it’s too dangerous for her, Chaka! I just told her the truth.” Armageddon towered over Chaka, however, this never scared her.

“She is bound to be married soon! Let her have fun! Let her be an adult woman because that’s what she is, goddammit! She’s not a baby anymore!” Chaka’s voice makes the lake ripple, she walks closer to Armageddon. “If you don’t bring Meiying and Meiying only back to this village, we are done! Through! And I’m going back to Japan to stay with my father.” Chaka cried, she walked away, the servants left a long time ago before they started shouting. Armageddon stood there, contemplating his next decision.

He looked at his sundial gifted to him from one of his associates, it was noon, the perfect time to round up one of the ships.
