With the discovery of why Jordan suddenly mutated comes one thing that must be decided as soon as possible, and that is the treatment of the humans in the camp.

With the camp being as it is several benefits will continue to develop such as warriors, industry, knowledge about mana and how it can be applied, and more.

BUT there are several problems such as the loyalty of humans which isn't exactly at its highest right now.

Also the problem with negative energy... seeing it how it fuels him and enhances his strength there will be a need for more of it. But this can be solved reasonably.

´with an increased number of executions or by making some sort of prison… and there is one more option to acquire the mana tainted with negative emotions and that is absorbing it from other demons but this will require more testing…´

Floating around the room in the wisp form Jordan continued to think ´remaking the camp to some elaborate torture device would be easy and I can see why would most of the demons do that… absolute control over the humans, steady supply of the sweet negative emotions… I better stop thinking about that´

After the mutations, Jordan was more indifferent than before only the negative feelings when triggered were amplified but Jordan controlled himself not to be overly affected by it.

It could be because of the mana tainted with negative emotions... it would be strange if he wasn´t affected by it to some extend. Just one more thing that tries to make him go mad and kill everyone.

Luckily, Jordan was a very reasonable person so he could resist those feelings rather easily but still… those strong emotions providing pleasure while also increasing his power.... it was extremely tempting, if he didn't already put so much work into the camp he will probably give in.

Jordan controlled his wisp form and made his way outside, he pushed through the jelly-like substance that was mana and without any resistance slipped through the wall, it looked like the only problem was the distance from his body as he could feel his thoughts turning sluggish.

The wisp form made it outside and Jordan felt it is the limit of how far he can get, looking around Jordan watched his camp or at least the part which he could see from the library.

The outside world was beautiful, everything looked as if he was underwater, instead of people Jordan only saw blue outlines and when he looked up in the sky, he was blinded by the blue veins that were covering it.

The veins were non-stop pumping mana to the earth slowly rising the abundance of it and will continue to do so until it reaches the average amount that is everywhere else in the galaxy.

After looking back down and being able to see again Jordan noticed the extremely thin white clouds that were at some places around the camp, Jordan willed it and bent the mana around making the white cloud fly to him.

The closer the cloud got the more uncomfortable Jordan felt, it was the same feeling he got when the angel named Jack introduced himself and the same feeling he got when the angels tried to cast a spell with theirs positive energy, that got Jordan an idea ´do I have negative energy to use as well?´ this matter will need further testing.

For now, Jordan wanted to test one of his other theories with the mana tainted by the emotions.

Sensing that he is approaching his limits Jordan moved back toward his body while dragging the cloud with the mana tainted by positive emotions.

The reason for his return was so that he can think clearly and without any setback that could disturb the experiment he had in mind.

The experiment was quite simple, it was to try and condense the tainted mana creating a sort of pill containing the mana for later use, if this experiment works then Jordan can just collect the tainted mana from fights or big battles and use the energy to refine his very being.

First, he tried compressing the tainted mana but that didn't work for various reasons.

One of them being the small amount of the tainted mana, with that Jordan added the raw third circle mana from his second heart, the refined third circle mana shined much brighter and had light blue color, the mana felt almost majestic.

Jordan enveloped the tainted mana with the refined one and compressed it, the tainted mana was resisting and wanted to spread but Jordan controlled the pure mana and did not let the tainted mana move.

To store the mana Jordan began to materialize the refined mana but it wasn't enough, he moved in more and more mana from his center of power until a small crystal with white insides formed, Jordan floated around in his wisp form and slightly touched the crystal, yes it was the first thing he could touch in his wisp form.

But just as he was examining the crystal, hunger, and exhaustion overcome him, Jordan returned to his body and let go of the mana that was his wisp form.

Ignoring the hunger Jordan took the crystal and examined it, the crystal was almost identical to those that are used for paying except for the white tainted mana inside of it.

´so that is how the currency is made? but mass-producing the crystals will be impossible...´

Just for this crystal Jordan spends three-quarters of his mana on it and to naturally replenish the spend mana he will have to wait for several hours, creating enhancement that will collect mana only for Jordan to materialize it won't work either as the mana has to be refined into the third circle.

And enhancement to collect mana while also refining it... those were just too expensive to buy for Jordan to know them.

In the end, it will only be a small "side-job" when he is free.

Jordan was observing the crystal and rolling it over in his hand only to see it slowly start to crumble and fall apart.

´yes, of course, it would be too easy to succeed on the first try...´

After the crystal crumbled Jordan stretched his arms and legs, his body felt weirdly foreign for a moment but otherwise, everything was fine, and the hunger Jordan felt wasn't strong enough to force him to go and look for food.

It was caused by lack of mana anyway so he would need to eat some mana-rich food or absorb some mana crystals.

´at least I confirmed that I can hold the negative tainted mana, with this I can continue to develop the camp but there is one thing bugging me, back at the platform the pudding on the moon platform said I will be able to infuse my hands with mana, and yet I didn't find anything out of usual about my arms´

Even when the mutations were in progress Jordan felt part of it focused on his hand and even legs, which would confirm what the ooze said, the ooze said himself that there isn't much information about the herald demon so the legs could be left out.

With this Jordan infused mana into his hands and kept trying, it took about thirty minutes until he learned the trick, he had to send the mana to the conductors in his hands and let it flow without any further intervention.

From his fingers till the elbow Jordan´s arms turned black and blue shield-like mana manifested around it, with the slightest thought Jordan could make the mana hard, sticky, or even stretch, same applied to his legs, there was the active zone from toes to his knees, as a boxer, Jordan realized the advantage immediately.

When infused with mana the black skin was extremely resilient, normal kitchen knives couldn't even pierce it no matter how hard Jordan tried.

And that was not all when the raw mana was infused Jordan could make it partially change elements making his hands and legs on fire or covered in stone, have wind currents swarming around it.

While the elements were swarming around his limbs there was this layer of raw mana that protected his hands from the fire which was in turn fueled with the raw mana that was being replenished from the center of power.

Satisfied Jordan reviewed all the progress the third circle brought and adjusted his battle strategies, there will be the need to buy some technique to progress further and reach the fourth circle but that can wait.

Now Jordan has to work on new spells he had some in mind for a long time and he has to change his plans to prepare against the possible invaders, at the very least he has to prepare a perfect escape route.
