Rocks and bricks flew in the air as a huge hole appeared in the wall, cheers erupted, while flying about half a meter (2ft) above the ground the angel leader Carl began to talk, it looked like divine aura enveloped him as thin sparkling white mist spread everywhere.

The spell that destroyed the wall was a third circle spell that utilizes the raw mana to create a powerful ram, it is a peak third circle spell and is one of the strongest in Carl´s arsenal, demonstrating its power he wants to boost the morale of his troop.

There are around 250 humans gathered here, 90 of them have awakened center of power, the rest is trained and armed to be equal or slightly stronger than the first phase beast. Besides the humans, there are also 7 angels including Carl.

In the whole town, there were approximately 24 angels, some died, some left the town and some stayed in their camps so the fact that there are 7 of them is quite impressive.

Carl spoke to the angels and the human captains that were gathered around him.

"We follow the plan, we will divide into two groups, one will go and liberate the humans…. If some resists you will have to kill them… after that you will come and joins the second group that will go straight for the head of the demon"

"We discovered several beasts in the third phase and other problematic monsters, we will try to deal with them but if they group upon us it may be difficult, that´s why we must cut off the snake´s head and the body will die, without being controlled the beasts will throw themselves on one another"

"NOW MOVE!" the humans and angels all rushed through the gap, on the side, there were several bodies of the wall´s guards but they spared them no attention.

The first group that is going to free the humans is composed of 100 normal humans 10 awakened ones and 1 angel, they do not expect much resistance but if some show itself they are ready to put it down, and as for why they intend to bring the freed humans to the fights against the demon?

The angels all agreed that they can't just accept these humans that had a choice and decided to stay, even if it was only a minority of the amount in the camp, they all must repent, the fight against the demon will be the perfect opportunity for them to show that they are back on the right track.

The second group was filled with the rest of the troop, 60 normal humans 80 with an awakened center, and 6 angels, as there was the need for quality to face the strong beasts that are presumed to defend the demon there were fewer of the normal humans.

The groups slowly progressed in the town, above the second group, that was led by Carl, flew an angel, her name was Jessica and she acted as a scout and support and just as she was flying around she saw several beasts that were retreating.

With the white energy forming a ball of light she gave a signal to the group below her and then threw the ball on the biggest beasts in the pack, the ball did no damage whatsoever but marked the beasts, essentially making them unable to escape.

Carl led the group straight at the beasts and when he saw the beast he exclaimed, "Woah, that's a big one…. We don't have time to waste, we will all cooperate, James will hold it down while the rest of us (speaking to the angels) will take it down, (speaking to the captains) you will kill the small fry beasts around now get to it!"

The big beast was close to 3,5 meters (11ft 8in) tall and 6 meters tall (19ft 8 in), its mouth looked like it was taken from a flytrap plant while flames were sprouting all around the beats fur while the fur itself looked like it was drenched in mud.

The group was lucky to catch the beast before it could reorganize with others, such a beast must be one of the enemy pillars so killing it now will greatly weaken the demon.

Everyone from the groups got in action, the angel James began to produce white vapor from his body and began to grow in size until he was 4 meters (13ft) tall, James´s angel species was ranked in the middle-rank upper part and was heavily focused on the body while sacrificing most of the magical abilities.

James pinned the beasts down and spread his wings that now had a span of 3x times his body, even though James could fly he could do so only very slowly and clumsily, that was because his wing served more like a shield or a weapon, all the feather on his wing had metallic coating making them extremely durable and deadly.

The pinned beasts struggled and managed to bite off a chunk of meat from James but the assault from the angels around began, spells of every type were hurdled at the beasts, and holes of various sizes began to open in the beast's fur.

The humans were also quickly disposing of the few lesser beasts, it looked like the fight won't last even 5 minutes.

The beast was being overwhelmed and sensing its doom the big beast seemed to give up on its life, seeing the change that was happening in the beast, James shouted "something wrong!".

Yet no one paid him attention, the beasts began to look thinner and thinner with every moment and from the wounds on its body were shooting flames.

The beast suddenly went berserk and freed itself, the beast breathed magma-like substance and blocked the angels with it, before they could react the beast threw itself on the nearby angel and completely covered her in the magma before collapsing.

The beast lost all its muscles and fat, only skeleton covered in fur remained.

Closing its eyes... the beast died.

Everyone was shocked, even the humans that already killed the rest of the beasts, they didn't expect it at all.

"CHECK ELENA NOW", but it was late, the magma-like substance killed her already, slowly a crude statue of a screaming angel formed.

Without being able to do anything Carl said with sadness in his voice.

"Let's heal everyone and continue… we will take care of her corpse later… now we have to make the demon pay!"

The first group was easily making its way to the quarters where the humans lived, under the lead of the angel Jack they progressed steadily.

Jack was the angel who met Jordan way back, the moment Jordan left his camp Jack was hunted by his consciences ´only if I had killed him… none of these people would have suffered, I must kill him to make amends´.

That was the reason he joined Carl even if he didn't agree with some of the radical changes, but he had no right to complain… after all, where did his compassion get him, only if he listened to Sophie.

Jack and the group made it to an area where the humans lived and as they neared it several hundred humans run to them shouting things like "FINALLY" and tears were flowing down their cheeks.

But it was strange, there was too little of them, if the intel was right there should be close to a thousand people, and just by looking Jack could tell that this wasn't anywhere near that.
