The Poison Bite, Part 2

“Quickly now, we don’t have much time to prepare,” Ka’klop said.

“What warlock?” Dusty asked.

“No time!” Ka’klop answered as he walked off to grab supplies. Dusty and Dawud followed him.

“What do you want us to grab?” Dusty asked.

“We need a wall, and a turret,” Ka’klop said. Dusty noticed a turret near her.

“Dawud, give me a hand with this turret,” Dusty said as she walked off to the turret, Dawud followed her. They picked up the turret and brought it back to Ka’klop, he had already built a fortress.

“Wow Ka’klop, how did you build all this?” Dusty asked.

“The thir were built to be fast, you have the turret. Put it here,” Ka’klop said, gesturing towards an open spot. Dawud carried the turret to the spot and set it down. “Now all we have to do is wait,”

“How long until they arrive?” Dawud asked.

“About three hours,” Ka’klop said.

“They're here,” Dusty said after an hour of waiting. Ka’klop jumped up from where he was sitting.

“Finally, I can rejoin my fellow thir” Ka’klop said.

“What! You said you were here because of them!” Dusty yelled over the noise of the thir ship.

“They left me here to complete my training,” Ka’klop spun around, kicked Dusty in the face, punched Dawud, spun the turret around and shot Dusty, “Thank you, I really appreciate all the effort to help me complete my training.”

Bullet from the turret had gone through Dusty's organs, as Ka’klop turned away, Dusty waved her hand over her organs and then disappeared, Dusty waited a moment and got up.

“WHAT!” Ka’klop screamed, “YOU SHOULD BE DEAD!”

“Well, I’m a cat, nine lives, or eight now,”

“Well, I just have to kill you eight more times,” Ka’klop grabbed the turret and fired at Dusty, who expertly dogged the shots, and made her way to the turret.

“You really should watch where you point that thing, you could hurt someone,” Dusty grabbed her oscillogrinder and disabled the turret, “I’ll let you go this time, but next time you won’t be so lucky,”

Ka’klop scrambled to the ship, and they took off. Dusty and Dawud went back to MEOWS.

“I think I need a few days to rest,” Dusty said, “Coming back to life takes a lot of energy.”
