Chapter 5: Headache

Chapter 5: Headache

Silvia could not move, she did not want to move, she was just so tired she wanted to rest. But she was resting; Sleeping in fact. But sometimes, she would be half awake. Something was squeezing at her tenderly, carrying her around, flipping her gently. Moving her with care, she loled off.

Switching from partial lucidity to deep slumber every so often. She would remember things like being covered in tight but warm squeezes. It was bliss.

On, and off. Sometimes, she could feel something sneaking around her mind, perusing and hiding whenever she noticed but most of the time, whenever she was half awake she felt them, wriggling, vibrating, humming.

half-awakeness and blissful slumber. She was just so jaded she didn’t mind them anymore. Silvia let them did what they pleased, they weren’t hurting her anymore, it even felt like they were part of her now. they were just a little ticklish and admittedly their tiny tremors eased her into relaxation. Silvia slipped further into a deep dreamless slumber.

Silvia was half awake again, she had just heard a something slump down wetly on the floor, it was soft; like a squishy fruit falling from a plant and plopping on fertile soil. She couldn't see it well but she picked it up, it was really squishy and ripe . She was tempted to take a bite, a small bite just to find out what it tasted like. It was sweet and filling. As she chewed, something tickled her neck and face, soft silk flew around and caressed her.

She heard a soft hum. A lullaby, it soothe her as she continued to bite into the fruit. it was a soft melody, it sounded familiar, it was as if she had heard it just recently-

Silvia opened her eyes, surrounded by soft strands of white silk, two curious blue orbs greeted her. Silvia sprang up, only to hit her head on something hard.

“Ow!” Silvia cried out as she reached for her head.

She held her throbbing crown. Her head ached.

Silvia massaged it gently; immediately as soon as she did, she froze. She furrowed her brow as She looked at her hands. She gasped, they were sticky with slime but she had hands!

She looked at her right leg, it was there! It was also there!. She wiggled her toes, relief and excitement washed over her.

My hands! My leg! I can feel them! They weren’t severed? Was it just a dream?

Silvia looked at them again. clothing and armor was ripped up to the point where her hands and leg got severed.

It wasn’t a dream. But how? How are they back? I feel strange.

Beside her, towering above all was the wall of flesh, unmoving, frozen as if it was just a wall. Silvia stared at the wall, expecting it to move and attack but it didn’t. It was as if it was asleep.

With danger on the low, she took more mind on her hands and leg, they were sticky so she wiped off the slime on her and feet to the ground. She was still in danger. The wall of flesh, even if it wasn’t moving now; it will move again. She didn't want to take the chance.

Silvia scanned the place far and wide for a weapon but found nothing, everything was cleared, all the weapons, all the broken metal and gems, nothing. It was just grey walls and glowing veins in the distance.

She should be afraid from the sight of the wall of flesh but somehow she was calm, she was calmer than she had ever been. is something wrong with me?

Silvia heard a hic beside her. Silvia looked under her shoulder, just below, next to the wall of flesh. A small girl sat, her feet sprawled on the floor.

A girl? Why is a girl here of all place?

The girl had no clothes, she was naked, yet she was still covered. Longer than the length of her body; the gir’s white and silky like hair covered her from top to bottom.

Her blue eyes teared up as she rubbed her red forehead. Silvia felt her own head, it was still throbbing.

She isn’t an illusion.

The white haired girl sniveled, trying to suppress tears.

The hit must’ve really hurt her.

By the welling of droplets, Silvia could about tell that the dam was about to burst, but despite all this, the girl held on.

She breathed deeply a couple times, sniffled, switched to counting numbers, sniffled again, then sang a little tune. She was really trying hard. There were a few moments where Silvia thought she would spill, but the girl didn’t cry.

As she watched the girl, her calm feeling slowly faded. Little by little it started coming back, the fear. Silvia was about to grab her and escape this place but the white haired girl’s eyes met Silvia’s, holding Silvia in place. the girl immediately positioned herself facing Silvia, her face sort of held a grumpy look.

Judging by what the girl was trying to do, she attempted to look serious. Yes, it was a serious situation, a wall of hostile flesh was just beside them a couple of feet away, but since she looked like she was still about to cry added to the fact that her forehead was red as a tomato, amplified tenfold because her face was pale;  she miserably failed at looking serious.

Silvia didn’t even think that the girl knew the wall beside her was alive.

She put her hands in front of her thin legs placing her palms flat into the ground, “I-i am s-s-sorry!” She squeaked as she bowed fiercely. She bowed so fast her head to hit the hard ground. With a thud the girl ceased moving.

“Hey! Are you alright?” Silvia asked.

Did she knocked herself out?

There was no response, not even a single twitch.

She’s out cold.

Silvia leaned next to her, she held both of her shoulders; receiving a palmful of wet sticky slime. The girl was covered in it!

Still nothing, the girl lay still, unmoving. She planned on carrying her out of here if need be. Silvia was about to shake her awake but just as fast as she fell, she sprang up and her head hit Silvia on the chin.

Silvia, surprised by the impact, fell on her back. The girl held a mean look now, her red forehead was even redder, droplets appeared at the corner of her eyes, her face faltered and almost at once she grabbed the back of her head and her forehead and she bawled.
