Chapter 10 - King of Vanaheimr part 1/3

Chapter 10 - King of Vanaheimr part 1/3

The city of Vanaheimr. Inside of the king's main library. Six hours after Carol healed the female adventurer's hand.

From the perspective of King Tyson.

"Today. Today will be the day I find a way to heal her." It's been seven years since I last seen my daughter smile. Seven years since my daughter could last walk or even see. Today three scholars came back from the god's library of knowledge, bringing with them dozens of notes. Abilities and classes long since lost. I sat down and began to read.

The year is 262 of the gods awakening. We only started cataloging the classes and abilities from the past 250 years. Before that, the magic was too weak, and the gods were asleep. The Metal artifacts that fell from the sky brought magic back into the world. The skills and abilities We thought long-lost came back. But all the previous records of magic had been lost to time and war.

The god of knowledge The one who gave us our HUD offered a reward. To all those who came up with something new, a new invention, a form of math, a science discovery. Any would be given a single day in his library, so long as they brought something new to the world.

The three scholars had found a form of math and equation for faster than light travel from one of the artifacts they offered it to the god of knowledge, and all three of them were given a single day in his library. I asked them to bring back knowledge of old classes, and they readily agreed.

There were specific ways for a person to get a class, but it had to be done before the age of six. Once somebody turned six, they got their class, and there was no way to change it. Except if you became a priest then you would lose your class forever. The God you chose to follow would give you a class based off of their ideals. The goddess of growth and protection gives her priest the ability to heal most light injuries or re-attach limbs.

There were two classes I was focused on, one of them is called (paladin class). It focused on physical immunities and healing. The notes said the only way a paladin is made, is when a God chose them at birth.

The second class is called the (healer class). They focused on healing injuries, curing diseases and even reversing age. The healer class was passed down through bloodlines, but They were wiped out. Kings and nobles would kidnap them to have their youth back. They were treated worse than slaves, using their abilities to the point of exhaustion every day. Eventually, their mana pulls would give out and they would die from mana starvation.

There has to be a way to bring back the healer class. They couldn't have just shown up one day somebody had to have done something to start the bloodline. "All I have to do is find out how. And then I'll be able to bring the healers back."

Korbin, my Butler, walked into the room and started to talk with a serious and excited expression "Tyson, we found one, We found a healer in Irontown. She's level 8, and we have reports of her re-growing limbs. The mayor Hank went and checked for himself. He watched her regrow an entire arm on one of the adventurers. If we leave now, we can be there in two days."

Standing up, I began making plans and giving orders "Korbin get the warlords and the Royal guard ready to leave in the morning. Make sure the enchanted carriage is ready for my daughter. I need to get my advisors prepared to take over while I'm gone."

Korbin flinched at this "my King, The peace talks with the mountain tribes are happening in two days, you have to be here."

Gritting my teeth with my eyes closed "Korbin if you're right, my daughter might be able to see in two days." Opening my eyes, I look at Korbin "I don't want the first thing she sees to be a stranger," but I knew he was right. The Mountain tribes only respected me. If I'm not there, the war will start up again.

Korbin with pain on his face said "I know, and I'm sorry. I can send Millie with her. They were best friends all the way up until the accident, when Nole, stopped talking."

The King with sorrow in his voice spoke "you're forgiven. We can't send the full Royal guard now, but I can send one of the warlords and a few of the elite nights. I'll talk to her tonight and explain things. Maybe, she will finally speak to me."
