Words glaring. Eyesight blurred and distorted. Heartbeat racing. Nerves quivering. Pulsating anger racing throughout my jacked-up body left an uncontrollable tasteless sensation on my tongue - hatred.
The soup kitchen of emotions rocking back and forth left me nauseous. Hatred. Grief. Guilt. Disgust.
How could they do this to me? My own flesh and blood, fucking my girlfriend.
His body barely cold yet the thought of me killing him was unavoidable.
"David, we need to talk to her. Find out the truth." Humans voice echoed calm truths.
"Y-yes. We need to know why she lied to me this entire time. What el- what else was she lying about. H- how long was this g- going on for."
"Yes David, she lied and betrayed us. We need to know what else she was lying about. What are her excuses."
Anger driving us from the bathroom to which my brother lay, leaving his soulless corpse abandoned and alone. One clear target – Sarah. One clear objective – truth.
My legs being held together through the pure adrenaline and anger stimulating my muscles. Creaking floorboards being drowned out by the *THUD* collapsing from the soles of my feet.
The journey seemingly nothing but the absconding ambience, allowing for passage to appear all but seamless. Nothing but a blank vacuum encompassed both my mind and physical body, rendering me a mute marionette. Tugged along by the strings tasselling my flesh; the venomous hatred.
I entered the gate situated in front of Sarah's home.
Antagonistic scented petroleum fuelled my bones and muscles, the trade-off being an uncontainable shake of fury.
As I knocked on the cerise red no.14 door of Sarah's home, the voluminous questions dashed around the halls of my brain.
Moments passed as I awaited her entrance, permitting the escalation of expectations. Unwilling to wait much longer I persisted with the knock, increasing the volume with every pounding motion.
The masked silhouette of her face edged closer toward the door. Finally, I would get the answers I deserved.
Door handle changing direction, from its fixed horizontal position to a more diagonally imposed trajectory.
The door slid open, revealing a segment of her face with every inch.
"David? What're you doing here?" her face startled as her eyes opened wider.
"I needed to s- see you." My posture strengthened; my chin, for a change, pointed upward.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
A murder black dress tightly wrapped around her curvaceous slender body. Her tattoos exposed on behalf of the moonlight. She looked as delicious as always.
She appeared to have tried, abundantly clear that the endeavour was not for me, however.
"Okay, well come in." her body reluctantly opening up allowing my entrance.
Clacking of heels along the wooden floorboards serenaded her deceit, leaving open the possibility of excuses and denial.
Following her, still elegant body toward the sitting room, memories of our times together swamped my mind with their oil like consistency. Sticking to my synapses and encompassing them within its suffocating nature.
A strong scent of perfume that I had purchased her for her birthday, cascaded around the room.
Candles and dimmed lights only added to the perfume, both accelerating my heart rate and angering me. Blood pumping through my veins at an elevated pace drove my skin red and the vein of my neck to pulsate.
"So why are you here David?"
"I – I needed to see you Sarah. I nee- needed to ask you something."
"Oh. ermmm. Okay? Go ahead."
"I knew all this time that y-you were cheating on me. You made me be-believe I was crazy. I never once thought that'd be Michael though."
"David I nev- "
"Sarah STOP IT NOW. The game is up. I know you's were cheating."
"David please."
Barely being able to stand looking at her lying cheating face, my eyes scanned the rest of the room. Sat on the coffee table, a bottle of pills. I knew Sarah in and out, she never took pills. Reaching for them, I ignored the mumbling of excuses slithering from her serpent tongue.
"What are these?"
Reading the label that read 'Halcion', I became dazed and confused.
'Symptoms may include: Dizziness, Headaches, Memory loss, Tiredness.'
"What's HALCION Sarah?"
"It's nothing, I just take them to help me sleep David."
"Are you sure that she is telling the truth David?" Human awoke, whispering in my head.
"Who were they re- really for Sarah?"
It began to slip into place, the missing puzzles to a scenery, this missing links in the chain. My loss of time, the overall depressive like emotions I had been feeling, the excruciating migraines.
"You've been drugging me?! Since when Sarah. HOW LONG!!"
"I-I- "
"HOW LONG!!"
"Since the first night David."
Her eyes tearing up while the edges of her lips lifted up toward her cheeks.
"You idiot, you think I wanted to ever get with you? I wanted your brother. He never noticed me. But you always had."
"David, I knew she was bad news. She played us." Human continued to disbelieve her intentions.
"Then you became more of a problem than I was expecting, constantly following me around like a lost puppy. I couldn't cope with it."
"David Fucking Kill Her!" Humans voice drowning my mind in its silky nature, caressing my perception with its factual temperament.
All I could hear was the drowning of voices, suffocating beneath the overwhelming thought of it all.
Being played from the beginning. She cheated. She lied. She used me from the beginning.
Blood piled into my brain, giving it fuel for the overclocking power it was maxing at, all in the attempt to comprehend why and how.
"David, I'm sorry. I never wanted it to go this far I swear. It just escalated."
"D-did you know?"
"Know what?"
"That Michael slit hi-his own wrists when he realised what y-you were doing t-to me?"
"He's – he's dead?"
"Yep, his body w-was cold and b-blue when I found him."
"You sick fucking bastard David! What the fuck did you do!"
"David. KILL HER NOW"
"YOU FUCKING COWARD!" Sarah said.
"KILL HER NOW"
Her hands clenched, and arms being hurled back and forth, left imprints in my skin. My broken heart and mind now joined with a new companion of body injuries.
"I WILL FUCKING KILL YOU DAVID."
"KILL HER DAVID."
Their voices drowning each other out, leaving nothing but the background noise of screeching and ambience. My heart rate slowly dropping pace to an almost standstill like tempo.
My hands unclenched, releasing the sweat that had collected in my palms, to drip down my fingers. My breathing eased. I allowed the drowning to take me. I allowed the darkness to engulf me.
