CHAPTER 17
TRUE POWER
Kamari once again changed his structural creation, this time into magnetism, as his body reappeared back at its normal state. A magnetosphere of energy surrounded him completely, its purple light feeding off Asani’s electricity, making it more dense and clouded.
“His storm structure is exactly like Nanu’s,” Wah mumbled aloud.
Asani trembled in anger and fear, then he reacted in just a manner Kamari expected, speeding upward through the sky while loud snaps of static receded as he made more distance. Kamari shot a south magnetic charge around Asani, then cloaked his barrier with a magnetic north charge, causing them to be pulled in junction toward one another. Asani descended downward at a fast pace, while Kamari rapidly ascended upward. Static electricity enhanced the magnetosphere around Kamari, making it thicker, and increasing its mass, until finally, the hardened shield smashed into Asani. Lights of radiant blue and dark purple flashed above Wah, then both fighters fell at an altitude of thirty feet, hitting damp soil. Kamari got up uninjured, his barrier absorbing all impact from this collision; miraculously, Asani stood up as well, clutching his left shoulder tightly.
Kamari glared in disbelief. “It appears as if luck’s the only force keeping you alive, now let's see if fate’s dice roll in your favor a second time around.” Asani scowled in a rage, and just as he thought to aggressively charge forward, Kamari vanished before his eyes, then stood close behind him.

“I can see that your storm force has reached its limits, dare you try and push past it,” Kamari provoked. Asani’s eyes widened with fear. “I bet you’re wishing you hadn’t betrayed us… now die.”
Kamari raised his palm forward, allowing a huge explosion of hakq to surge from his left hand, engulfing his enemy with a heated fire that immediately incinerated on impact.
“Ashes, ashes, they all fall down,” he said, turning his palm upward and gazing into the small flame within it. Closing his hand tightly, he extinguished this fire, and the inferno that lay waste to much forest ground burned away, leaving blackened scorched soil. He turned his attention toward Wah. “I could easily wait you out until your hakq drained, but if you gracefully accept your defeat— I’ll spare your life.”
Being an experienced storm warrior, Wah noticed every event that abruptly occurred within her opponent’s swift attack: from him using a structural change in hakq, gaining high velocity movements; to the moment he used her own phasing ability, racing through Asani’s body instead of moving around him, and finally, a skillfully transitioned reverting to his natural power before committing the ruthless concluding finish.
She hesitantly nodded. “I concede, victory is yours.”
Kamari focused, once again changing his structural creation, this time into Hikaru’s setting control. His sixth sense immediately kicked in, allowing him pinpoint accuracy at detecting allies in a way that he’d never felt. They were moving quickly through forest depths, which meant both were still fleeing. He could feel Hikaru’s power throughout the entire wilderness, sealing the setting, and disabling any form of teleportation through passages.
Kamari glanced back at Wah. “If you intervene, I’ll show you no mercy.”
He ghost out, then he set off rapidly through barren lands until entering undisturbed greenery, purposely neglecting his high velocity ability in order to conserve energy.
