Back to the present day
Anima looked behind him and saw a little girl tugging on his shirt.
Anima: How could I help you?
What in the world? A little girl? Why is she here, and what is she doing here, anyways? What type of trial is this?
Girl: Well, could you help me with something in my village, Mr.?
Anima: Um, sure, but where are your parents?
Girl: Both of them are sick, so I went out on my own.
Anima: Oh, okay. So, what is it that you need help with?
Girl: Well, both my parents are sick, so could you cure them?
Anima: Uh, I could try.
Anima had a very confused expression on his face as he had no idea what the hell was going on. All he knew was that this was the second trial, so he just followed along.
Anima: What’s your name?
Girl: My name is Sera.
Anima: Well, Sera, my name is Anima. It’s nice to meet you.
Anima shook the little girl’s hand.
Anima: Could you show me your way to the village so I could help?
Sera: Mhm, yeah, I could.
Anima started to follow the little girl to the village.
As they were walking, they chatted a little bit.
Anima: So, how old are you?
Sera: Oh, me, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Sera: I’m 6 years old!
Anima: Well, a 6-year-old? Wow, you’re so brave for your age.
Why the fuck am I talking to a six-year-old right now? What the hell is in this trial? Aren’t trials meant to be the deepest parts of your soul manifested? Is this telling me that I want to talk to a 6-year-old? Oh, fuck no! And why is someone sick?! Oh, heavenly god, please strike me down where I stand.
Anima: Well, then, can you tell me what’s wrong with your parents?
Sera: Well, only a couple of days ago, they went out to the forest to go hunting, then they came out, we ate, then they got extremely sick.
The little girl had a very sad expression on her face.
Anima: Extremely ill?
Maybe something to do with what they ate, but why isn’t the little girl sick?
Anima: Sera, I have a question. Did you eat the same food as them?
Sera: Hmh, yup!
Anima: Then why didn’t you get sick? Do you know why?
Sera: Hmh, no, I don’t, Mr.
Anima had a very confused look on his face.
Anima, in his mind: Maybe she just got lucky by some sort of miracle that she didn’t get sick.
If this trial was a manifestation of my soul, it didn’t make sense. I never cared for other people. I never donate any money. I never help other people. If I could help, the only people I care for are the people closest to me. I never cared about strangers. Could it be deep in my soul?
Anima had a very confused and angry look on his face, anyhow.
Sera: Is there anything wrong, Mr.?
Anima: Oh, no, just thinking about things, that’s all.
Anima quickly changed his face into a happy face and a smile.
Anima: Is this your village?
Sera: Yup.
Anima and Sera entered the village. It was relatively small. Anima could see horses. He could even see a beautiful, huge ocean next to the village. He also saw a statue of a man.
Anima: Hey, is it me, or does that guy kind of look like me? Nah, I’m probably just tweaking like usual.

Sera: Oh, that statue? Well, that statue has been here for many, many, many years, Mr. Unless you’re an extremely old person, it can’t be you!
Anima laughs.
Anima: I know, but who is that person, anyways? He must be pretty important for you to have a statue of him.
Sera: Oh, that person, he saved our village many, many, many years ago. It was after the great war. Not only that, he saved billions of lives after. Apparently, one of my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandpas met him and saved my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandpa and grandma!
Anima: Oh, I see. What was his name?
Sera: Oh, the name of the great hero, his name was Mr. Miracle!
Anima: Oh, me, Miracle, huh?
Sera: Anyway, look, it’s my house.
Anima: Are your parents in there?
Sera: Yes.
Anima walked into the little girl’s house and saw both her sick parents.
Sera: Here they are.
Anima could see both of them were sick. They looked like they were on their deathbed.
Anima: Could they speak?
Sera: They can’t.
Sera started crying.
Sera: My mom, my dad, please save them, Mr. PLEASE.
Anima didn’t know what to do. How could he save them? They looked practically dead. He couldn’t even use magic since he wasn’t a Dream Walker.
Anima: Let me see what I could do.
All of a sudden, a message popped up:
Congratulations, you are qualified to be a Dream Walker. Would you like to continue?
Anima: What?!?! The fuck, but?
Sera: Is there something wrong, Mr.?
Anima pressed the “yes, continue” button.
A message popped up saying, “Welcome to your Dream Bar.”
Anima’s eyes were wide open in complete shock. He was staring at it in complete disbelief.
It was a video game menu screen. It was blue. He could see his pathway, an outline of him, and under his character:
Anima: Pathway: Dragon, Vision Ability: The Miracle
Anima was in complete shock and disbelief.
Anima: The Miracle?
He could see an active skill tree alongside his Vision.
Anima could see his mana pool. It was a bar around his character outline. He could see he had something called a Demonic Factor. He also saw that he was a level 7 Beast.
Anima had no clue what this all meant.
Anima: To use your vision, say “vision on.” Your eyes will glow.
Anima thought back to the statue, the man named Mr. Miracle. Is this why his soul showed this area, but why he didn’t understand? But now he may get it. Mr. Miracle, huh? Was his soul showing the person he would become? He didn’t understand. But what he did know, even if he didn’t care about these people, he saw a little girl crying and two people on the verge of death.
Sera was still crying.
Sera: Please do anything to save them.
Anima walked towards them. His deep, dark purple eyes glowed.
Anima: Vision on. The Miracle.
Anima’s right hand was glowing, and with it, he simply touched both their heads.
Anima: Vision off.
Both of the parents woke up.
Parents: What’s going on?
Sera wiped the tears.
Sera: Mom, Dad, you’re awake!!!!!!
Sera leaped to both her parents and hugged them.
Parents: Our precious baby girl.
Sera hopped out of bed.
Sera: Mom, Dad, look, this is the man that saved you!
Sera ran towards Anima and hugged him.
Sera: Thank you, Mr.!
Anima: Haha, no problem.
Anima hugged the girl back.
Parents: Thank you so much. That was a miracle. What’s your name?
Anima: My name is Anima.
Parents: Well, good to meet you, Anima.
Both of them shook Anima’s hand.
After that, Anima had a message pop out:
Congrats on completing your second Trial!
Anima had no clue what was going to happen next. He was already a Dream Walker. Will I still have to complete the other three Trials that were left?
A portal had opened up for him to move forward.
Parents: You’re a Dream Walker? Wow, that’s impressive. Would you like to stay over for some food?
Anima: No, sorry, but thanks for the offer.
Why are they responding like they’re real? They reacted to the portal? Something seems off. Shouldn’t this be a manifestation of my soul?
Parents: Well, then, goodbye. Good luck on any journeys. Come visit us again! Our village is called The Village of Light. You can just search it up on Google. You can find it!
What the fuck are these real? No, it couldn’t be?
Anima had a very shocked and confused look on his face.
As Anima was about to enter the portal, a little girl shouted:
Little girl: Mr., Mr., Mr.!
Anima: Oh, yeah, what’s up, Sera?
Sera: Here, take this.
Anima: Mhm?
It was a purple bracelet.
Anima took the bracelet and wore it.
Sera: It’s a friendship bracelet. The same one as me. Better not lose it.
Sera: Pinky promise!
Anima: Pinky promise.
Sera waved her hand.
Sera: One last question.
Anima: Yeah, what is it?
Sera: If you could save the entire universe but have to sacrifice the person you love, or would you sacrifice the entire universe to save the person you loved, which one would you do?
Anima was shocked by such a deep question from a 6-year-old, but Anima didn’t have to think about it. The answer was obvious, after all, at least to him.
Anima: …..
Anima: I would save the person I loved.
Sera: Goodbye, Mr.!
Anima: Goodbye, Sera!
Anima walked through the portal.
The second Trial ended.
Anima walked through the portal into a white room, and a message popped out.
Anima read it:
Anima: “Congrats on being a Dream Walker. It appears you qualified for being a Dream Walker before you completed the rest of your trials, which is extremely rare. But would you like to do the rest of the trials?”
Anima: Rest? HAHAHAHA, fuck no! Who the fuck would want to do more work? I ain’t doing all that.
Anima: I’m lazy as hell, but looks like I’m a Dream Walker now. LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can rub it in that bitch’s face that not only did I become one, I did it faster than that bitch Eros!
Anima: Oh well, now it’s time to go back to everyone.
Anima started to walk towards the portal, but all of a sudden, black energy flooded the room and knocked down Anima.
Anima: What the hell is happening now?
Anima lifted his head up, and his eyes widened. He saw a figure. His heart started racing fast again, like it never raced before. He was sweating. He was frightened at looking at this figure. But he knew what it was. He could finally see his face, his body, everything clearly.
Yes, this short blue hair going downwards, reaching the start of his arms. He was sitting down on a black chair. He was wearing a white collared shirt, and over that, he had a jacket made of black feathers. His skin was pale. He had black shoes and black pants on. His right arm was a metal-like claw, shaped into a fist format, sitting lightly on his right cheek. His right arm, normal, was sitting on his legs, and he had vibrant light blue eyes that had a dark and murderous look on them. He had a dark blue crown on top of his head, glowing. Most importantly, he had five black angel wings on his left side and five black wings on his right side behind his back.
His blue eyes were staring deep into Anima’s deep purple eyes.
Anima: Your tha- tha- that man in my dreams - that fi-fi-f-f-figure.
???: Hello, Pretender.
Anima: WHO ARE YOU?!?
???: A fallen angel.
???: The angel of abyss’s.
???: Cassius, The Great Betrayer.
