Chapter 41

Blood was flowing from Pxan hands, it was not his blood thought. The type of tasks had changed again, now he had to kill persons, civilians.

It was simpler than he thought, civilians with all of those brainwashing and shitty education rarely thought of taking precautions or to face someone with something else than “I will denounce you!”

Needless to say that this made assassination laughably easy; and for Pxan enjoyable.

One of his targets was a man, Terry, of about thirty, he was fat and dirty. He worked as an accountant and the inquisition wanted him dead.

“Accountants are the best,” he thought “so slow and fat.>>

Once Terry left his work office his destiny was sealed, during his route to turn home there was a brief passage where few people went. Very few people. Pxan waited for him there with a pistol, hammer and teaser, in case that something went wrong he placed two traps. One was a little string of iron that would make him fall and the other a detection mine in case he tried to escape.

Terry was very busy (and dirty) returning home. So much that he didn’t notice the strange man in the corner nor how strangely the ray of lights hit the ground. He fell to the ground badly. Not even the time to recover that a hammer broke his skull.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

Pxan job was done. He could go back and receive his pay. Before going through he checked Terry pockets and wallet and took a few cash.

Another man name was Lorenz, this one was an exemplar policeman. In a few hours, he got his guts blew up by a mine. He didn’t even saw his killer.

As time went on Pxan began to understand him and his situation better. He couldn’t braw or take a punch. What he could do was to take precise shots and plan the field ahead. He needed to contact Renes more than a few times to learn how to place traps, but now that he was done it was worth it.

….

He was in Lhyps police station, looking for some sound mines when his eyes were caught by the robo-dogs “I would like to have a dog” he thought. If only he managed to have a few and prepare the field ahead no person could escape him. Not even an inquisitor maybe.

Unfortunately, Lhyps deny him the use of the robo-dogs saying that it was police property and that he needed training. So Pxan began to search for another way, one less...legal.

It was around here that he discovered how hellish complicated are machines and robots in general. They need so many specific pieces and commands that he wondered how so many managed to work. The price for a robodog was prohibitive, he couldn’t afford it.

And so he began wondering in the lower quarter seeking parts in order to construct ones “The person who does anything himself work as three...or something like it” and so he began to gather pieces for his personal robot.
