Now was finally the turn of Lord Orson. The impatient young human almost exploded with rage numerous times during the waiting. Now that it was finally his turn, he calmed down instantly and was very excited.
When he put his hand on the glassball, first the cloud representing his soul came up. His soul's particles were almost all black, and within these particles, fire began to show. A sign of his destination of his afterlife, if he continued to behave like he did now. If not for the fear that the imp held now, the devil would be gleeful.
After the particles disappeared, chains were suddely shown that were burning a tiny bit.
Lord Orson had most talent for "Controlmancy". It is, as the name suggests, a magic for controlling.
A powerful controlmancer would be able to, theoretically, control the very thoughts of a being. Slave collars for example were created by controlmancers. Controlmancers could also attack through the summoning of chains.
Lord Orson also had a tiny bit of talent for "Pyromancy". It wasn't because he was very passionate about something.
It was because he was cruel. Now, for the imp's standard of cruelty, what the young human did couldn't even be called cruelty. But that was also why he only had a tiny bit of talent for pyromancy.
The lady that was behind the glassball nodded and waved her hand, motioning that he should make place for the next student to test himself.
Although the chubby human hated how he was treated here, he did so without any sort of commotion.
Next was the imp's turn. The devil was extremely nervous. This was obvious, since he had a pale face.
He hesitated for a moment, but steeled himself nearly instantly afterwards. He had a chance. It was probably unlikely that this ball could detect one soul of an immortal, not to mention two like in his case.
He confidentally placed his palm atop the glassball.
To his horror, his hopes were shattered instantly. Even worse, it even showed who controlled the body right now.
A fiery soul in the shape of an imp loomed over the other two souls, even if the imp clearly looked tired.
Within the imp's soul, the soul of the aco demon was almost breaking out. It had bloodshot, red glowing eyes, and it's body consisted of darkness.
Beneath the aco demon was the soul of Krenas, the half-elf. Although the mortal was the weakest between the three, it showed how his soul's particles invaded the imp like spider threads, symbolizing his emotional control over his recently lost body.
After this image of the three souls disappeared, numerous magical talents revealed themselves.
But unlike how the other students talent's worked in harmony, the talents of the three souls were completely separate from each other.
First came two talents that were very similar to that of Lord Orson, just that those two were much, much more defined.
Burning, ebony colored chains appeared. The imp was talented for controlmancy and pyromancy, just like the young master of the chutwall family.
Under the chains, numerous talents appeared, which all belonged to the aco demon.
Just like his chaotic nature, the talents were also wide in variety, though not as defined as with the imp.
Most talents weren't even able to be identified because they mixed with each other so violantly, and parted with each other the same way. Though some were much more defined than other talents, thus were able to be identified.
The first to be identified was "Umbramancy". The magic of shadows.
This was because the aco demon was small and weak compared to the other denizens of the abyss, thus it hid all the time, waiting for a time to strike when the prey wasn't looking.
Next was "Necromancy". This was due to the fact that demons, just like most undead, despised life at it's core.
They hated how most living beings lived in relative harmony with each other. Atleast the intelligent life and that was what they despised the most. Although most demons don't become necromancers, simply because of the sheer dedication that necromancy requires. Maybe it was more defined within this aco demon because of it's patience?
The other talents were either too faint to notice or melded too fast into each other.

Underneath all these chaotic talents were the talents of the soul of the original inhabitant of the half-elven body.
These, most prominently showed a soothing light and a bright, huge fire which had both the colors of blood red and orange within it. The blood red symbolized his thirst for revenge on the chutwall family while the orange symbolized his deep rooted ambition.
This fire represented the talent of both "Pyromancy" and a subschool of "Demonology".
While demonology mainly consists of summoning and bending demons to one's will, it also has the sub category of bending the energies of chaos itself to one's will.
For example, a fire which was produced through chaos energies burns far hotter than normal fire but is therefore much more unstable than for example a flame produced through pyromancy.
The soothing light on the other hand was because of his care for his only family member that he cared about since his mother died in the fields of the damned chutwall family. His sister.
This soothing light represented the major school of "Auroramancy". Most call auroramancy simply light magic for it encompasses all light. It, for example, also includes the light of the moon, although it is very rare to see an auroramancer using the light of the moon.
Most healing magic is produced through auroramancy but it isn't only a healing magic school. With auroramancy one can create spears of light to pierce ones enemies or if one is especially powerful, one can also call down beams of searing hot light upon once enemies.
Soon after, the images disappeared. Everyone who could see what was going on was shocked out of their mind.
The lady sitting behind the glassball widened her eyes, just like everyone else who saw this.
Especially the young master, Orson. He had myriads of feelings he was feeling.
He of course didn't understand why two figures who looked so demonic appeared in the glassball on his servants turn,
so he felt confused.
But what he felt much more was anger, hatred and envy. His servant was so much more talented than him! How could this be?! A simple servant who even was a slave of his family before was this talented?! How could this be?!
There needed to be some sort of mistake! There was no way that this useless half-elf was suited for so many types of magic!
The pampered noble was seething with rage at this very moment.
Yet what was inside the half-elves body was much more alarming than the attention of outsiders!
The aco demon felt that he was in major danger, if he stayed here any longer, so he attacked the devil's soul with feral brutality. The imp was so suprised by this sudden attack, that he vomitted up a small amount of blood, which landed on the glassball.
The imp fought back but it was too late. He lost his entire headstart of a more patched up soul because of the suprise attack of the demon. Only in a minute, the imp was defeated and fell unconcious. If not for Krenas suddenly having backstabbed the aco demon, the imp would've died.
It wasn't that Krenas wanted to save the imp, he just never wanted the demon to win. It was one thing of having a devil take control of your body and a complete other thing, if a demon does it. Devils are entirely evil, yes, but they wouldn't kill without any reason or benefits. Demons on the other hand craved mindless destruction and reveled in it.
Now was the most oportune moment to strike the demon in the back, so he did it. He knew that the chances of winning were slim since the enemy was so powerful but either it was now or never. Fortunately the devil weakened the demon enough for Krenas to have atleast a tiny chance of victory.
The two souls clashed with each other. Krenas's soul foundation was fading quickly but the aco demon was standing on it's last leg too. Another two minutes passed and both souls struck the last blow to each other.
Both faded into the dreamlands almost simultaneously but before Krenas did, a faint smile could be seen on his soul's face as he knew that although he was likely going to never wake up again, he didn't let the demon take control and potentially harm his last loved one which remained.
----------------------------------------
Meanwhile on the outside, Krenas suddenly collapsed after he vomitted up a small amount of blood.
Most were shocked but his master was only angry. He thought that by this act, he embarassed him and his family by suddenly collapsing on the floor. Although what he was about to do, didn't have that much to do with embarassment but with the envy he felt.
He kicked his unconcious servant a few times while shouting "How dare you fall unconcious here! Wake up immediately!" even a vein popped in one of his eyes because of his anger.
The lady behind the glassball almost immediately stopped him after her shock was over.
"Cease this violance! Haven't you read the rules?! Violance between students is not allowed on the academy grounds!" ordered the woman.
"This is my servant! I can do whatever I want to him!" Orson said while glaring at the woman.
"No, you can't! Either you follow the rules or be kicked out immediately. It is not your house here!" the lady glared at the arrogant noble boy with a stare that would kill him, if glares could kill.
Under the glare, the boy backed away and nodded, albeit very crudely.
The woman now narrowed her eyes while she thought "Is that what the director meant? The boy has a lot of talents, that's for sure but is it really wise to teach this boy? It's not only a half-elf but also a devil and a demon".
She suddenly shook her head before she continued thinking "No, it isn't my place to judge. Maybe the director and the masked guy have a special plan. After all, the guy in the mask did mention that he needed to witness the "perfection of a hybrid soul" as he called it. What does he plan?"
She then snapped out of her thoughts while calling two students that would be graduating this year to her side and said: "Would you be so kind to carry this boy to the director's room?"
"Of course Miss Lifra" nodded the two students.
The two students picked up the boy by his arms and legs, and carried him away. When the two were out of sight, Miss Lifra took out a handkerchief and carefully wiped away the blood from the glassorb.
She then sat down again to continue testing the new arrivals.
