AZKIO

Azkio slowly stepped out onto the arena, quaking violently. A Skullrider stepped out, large and confident.

Azkio nearly threw his wings over his head, but he remained tall, trying to seem more ominous, but it just made him look more silly than he already did with his scrawny body.

The Skullrider stepped forward, grinning. “And now, our dragons take the first move!” Yelled the translator.

The Skullrider bolted toward Azkio, who barely evaded the attack by leaping below the dragon and scrabbling the other way, his wing full of sand that he shook off.

The Skullrider lunged forward, sweeping Azkio off his feet and pouncing on his stomach, readying his teeth to rip out Azkio’s throat.

Azkio shook, then remembered all Prenozins have a sharp tip on their snout. He threw his head forward, stabbing the Skullrider on the top of his snout with his.

The Skullrider shrieked, reeling back and clawing at his face. Growling, he leaped at Azkio again, slashing his spine with his claws. Azkio shrieked, then he was tossed aside.

He scrambled to regain his balance, then slowly stood up. Azkio bolted at the Skullrider, slashing his face with his extra sharp claws, then pouncing on his back and digging his claws into the Skullrider’s spine. He struggled a bit, then finally got in.

The Skullrider shrieked and threw Azkio off of him, sending Azkio reeling into the ground.

The Skullrider lunged at Azkio, digging his claws into his stomach. Azkio shrieked, then watched as the Skullrider opened his boned mouth and shot his teeth right down at Azkio. He accepted his fate —

— when suddenly Nuvi bolted out of the cell room with Phoenix beside her. Kavino followed behind, and flew down slower than the others. A few guards raced toward the trio, but Nuvi killed them with her tail.

She landed down, kicking the Skullrider away from Azkio. Nuvi advanced toward the Skullrider, then whipped around, decapitating him with her tail.

Phoenix went over and helped Azkio back to his feet. Even all four of them, dragons, could recognize that the humans were all booing at them. None of them cared.

Some guards finally got a hold of them all and sent them back to the cells.

“Nuvi,” Azkio spoke. “You know you’re also a kid, right?”

“Older than you.” She scoffed.

A tall figure suddenly broke the ceiling, a large human grin plastered across her face.

“It’s been 4 days,” Exoplydia said, staring daggers at every one of the dragons. “Time to go.”

She slammed her tail into all of the bars in front of each of them, pieces of meta

l flying everywhere.
