Oh Shit!!

She dragged Arc all the way out of the palace grounds and back through the giant entrance. By that time, Arc was breathing heavily and barely able to walk straight.

Sin ducked into a street that ran off of the main road to the palace, still dragging Anarchy. This street was dimly lit, and appeared to be empty. Just as she stopped, Anarchy’s body went limp. Sin caught her and lowered her down, leaning the pale body of her companion against the side of a building. If it weren’t for the top half being tied back, Arc’s long dark mane would be shielding her eyes from view.

Sin balanced her partner’s jaw in her hand. While she waited for a response, she studied her ally’s features. Anarchy looked more like a young girl, compared to Sin, who had the look of a well matured young woman. Her dark hair brought out the brightness of her blue eyes, making them seem much lighter than they actually were. And even though her eyelids were currently sealed, she was able to picture the color of her mate’s irises, gleaming with mischief.

She looked peaceful now, which was saying alot, considering Anarchy’s destructive behavior and skillful ability to sabotage everything. Her jaw was elegant and took on a strong, yet slightly curved shape. She had a straight-edged nose, which was just the right length from her face. The overall nature of her profile was, one could say, a cuter version of a seductive and extremely visually appealing female specimen.

Sin slowly dropped her head and it lulled to the side. “Arc. Come on girl. Fight it.” She said quietly to her unconscious friend. Few moments passed before Anarchy’s eyes flicked open. Though this time, instead of round pupils, there were long black slits. Her head dashed up, eyes fixated on Sin. She moved swiftly into a crouching position, fingertips just touching the ground. Her nostrils moved as she sniffed the air in front of her. She then began growling. Her face contorted to create a sneer. Her long vampiric k9’s were able to be clearly seen, along with a new pair of pointy teeth just behind them. Sin moved with the beastly Anarchy as she stood, following her actions.

“Try and keep up.” Sin said before she bolted off, Anarchy already hot on her heels. They tore through the city. Sin deliberately taking the back roads to avoid trouble from the citizens. Anarchy was keeping up with her, sprinting with predatory grace. Sin had to try harder to stay ahead of her infected companion, due to her increased stamina. Luckily Sin was a well trained vampire, able to easily achieve a safe distance, and maintain her speed.

Once they reached the ten meter outer wall of Tesian, Sin ran up the side and grabbed the edge with one hand. Not hesitating, she secured her second hand and propelled herself up over the chalky stone. She had a quick glance back down the wall, and as she did so, Anarchy flew past her face and landed behind her.

Sin didn’t waste time. She lowered slightly then threw herself into a backflip. Anarchy took a swipe at her while she flew straight overhead and into the black abyss on the other side of the wall.

Sin’s silhouette landed in the undergrowth and did a backwards roll to maintain silence. She ran a few extra paces away then slipped her body out and laid straight on the ground. She then waited under some large ferns that dipped close to the earth.

A dark shape slipped off the side of the outer barrier and landed without a sound. It stood and slowly turned its head to each side.

Sin silently admired the gracefulness of her companion, but also felt an eerie chill rippled under her black leather jacket.

It bent forward then slammed its hands on the ground, arching its knees to almost touch the dark soil. Sin could see the white of its teeth as its mouth shaped into a snarl. The deep growl echoing into the canopy of the rainforest above them.

Sin’s heart leapt into her throat as she watched her partner’s elegant figure twist and morph. Gut wrenching cracks and crunches resonated through the night as bone, cartilage, muscle and sinew, contorted beneath her pale skin.

A moment of silence sliced through the darkness. Every tree, fern and leaf had frozen, as the wind retreated. The small chirping insects had ceased their calls. Everything was still. Waiting.

Her breathing stopped as the creature raised onto its hind legs. Every hair on her body suddenly stood on end. Her muscles tensed and her claws grew slightly, a defensive reaction, a warning, that danger is afoot.

She had never seen this side of Anarchy before. Her beast state was never this much animal, it was usually just heightened senses and cat-like irises. Sin usually had the opportunity to calm her down before she morphed any further, but because of the extra two days that Arc didn’t sleep, her transformation was rapidly sped up.

Sin silently cursed herself as the creature slipped beneath the undergrowth. She almost wished she could stop her heart from beating as well, at the moment it was smashing against her ribcage. Which was not usual for her. She was considered one of the strongest warriors, some even said she could replace the Empress of Vampires. She was strong, cunning, agile and intelligent. But most of all, she was not afraid of a damn thing. So why was her heart beating like a sacrificial ceremony drum?

A few leaves a distance away made the slightest of movements. She was still holding her breath as a plant, less than five meters away, shook faintly. Her eyes shifted a millimeter to that point exactly. Her stomach cartwheeled into her throat.

Her body became deadly still.

The creature’s hot breath collided into the bridge of her nose and spread across her face. The shiver shot through her body like the crack of a whip. Her fangs grew a half a centimeter, but she didn’t dare move an inch.

I pushed my chair from my desk and stood up. Shaking my arms. Regaining blood flow. I looked up at the ceiling that was now illuminated by the amber light from my desk lamp. My legs were shaking. This part of the story scared me. I hated how I didn't know what would happen next. My hands ached. I could write with both so switching between the two meant I could write for longer. Unfortunately that meant I didn't eat or sleep for three days straight. I felt dizzy.

After a long break and a good hot meal I sat back down. The book stared at me. Those three golden capital letters on the front...

A deep growl thundered through her chest. She stood up, against all odds.

The beast’s nose twitched.

Sinnera waited patiently, but the beast was equally as cunning.

She had no choice but to answer the bloodthirsty animal within her. It was already waiting. Just under her golden exterior, and eating through the door to her better judgement.

Her body twisted and transformed. Her bones cracked and creeked. Extending to create a creature, nature had neglected to create.

Her jaw extended.

Her limbs grew long with lean muscle.

Her skin became grey, thick, and glossy.

Her body was no longer vampire.

Hybrid, it had become.

She growled a deep growl. Rivaling that of her companion’s. She stood a whole foot taller than the beast in front of her, but it still stood its ground.

Intimidation.

It was the key to this battle.

Who was the queen?

One could now see through Sinnera’s beastly eyes, that the being before her was not like her own. Anarchy’s body had thick black stripes all over it, and her skin was a dark shade of grey. She also had a tail, which flicked profusely back and forth.

Both creatures were still, the chill of the evening air beginning to settle in their hot skin.

The taller beast moved. Pinning the other on the ground in the swiftest of motions. Holding her there with a heavy right palm, and a set of huge claws. The muscles in its arm tensed.

The smaller beast made a deep cry as it squirmed beneath the razor talons of its rival.

The bigger beast let out a bone splitting roar, which to the untrained ear, sounded like a lion and a burning eagle. It echoed through the entire forest. Sending exotic birds, who were resting for the night, screeching in terror as they fled into the darkness. Even a few of the plants around them, shifted from the sound. I’m sure that if they could, they would uproot themselves from their solitary state, and run like they’ve never run before. Considering that they hadn’t.

The guards patrolling the wall, not a hundred meters from them, began to stir and frenzy.

The larger beast did not hesitate, it retracted its claws from the other’s chest, turned, and sprinted into the night on all fours.

The other, Anarchy, filled with adrenaline, leaped onto its feet and shot off, eager to hunt down the bigger beast.

Each animal ripped through the undergrowth at godlike speeds. Anarchy had caught easily caught up, as the other beast had slowed itself for her to do so.

They were flying through the night when the smaller beast pounced onto the other, digging it's claws into hot flesh.

The two bodies crashed heavily to the ground and tumbled, clawing and biting at each other in the momentum. Blood spattered on the flora around them, leaving a nasty trail of battle in their wake.

They crashed into a large tree, which most of Sinnera’s back hit it first. The large trunk exploded into splinters and chunks, sending them flying. The echo of destruction sounded loudly into the cold air.

Blood was all over the wood and ground beneath them.

The larger beast groaned and grunted. The smaller one had already rolled to its feet. It's left forearm was completely snapped, the bone could be seen sticking out from a mess of bloody flesh. It soon realigned itself and crunched back into place. The entire wound healed over in seconds. It stood. And growled.

The gaping wounds on the bigger beast’s back were only half healed when it decided to get up, sniff the air, then run for it.

The other beast dashed off, with only one objective in mind. Kill.

This time the larger one ran at top speed. Almost a blur in the dark of the night.

The smaller beast was struggling to keep up. Drops of blood kept hitting its face as it watched the raw muscle of its prey shifted and tense in the slivers of moonlight that shot through the canopy. It was amazing that it could even run with that much of its back obliterated.

They sprinted for miles before they reached the edge of Tesian’s thick rainforests and burst into the wide open spaces of Quantia.

Sinnera’s pace slowed and came to a halt in the middle of a widespread field. Anarchy was about to pounce on her again, but she sensed something and came to a complete stop. Sniffing the cold air, hitching herself up on her hind legs.

A howl came from the West, which was a little to the left in front of them. Both of their heads instantly fixated on that point. Each set of eyes illuminating their unique tones.

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

Another howl came from the North-West.

Their eyes darted to that direction. Their keen eyesight allowed the both of them to see the small dark shapes, slipping over the top of the hills and down into the valley.

Anarchy stepped forward, standing next to Sinnera’s huge mass of agitated muscle. The smaller beast among them began growling.

The other gave a defiant grunt, silencing its counterpart.

Amber eyes were watching intently as the two packs hastily approached.

The smaller beast shifted anxiously, fidgeting and breathing heavily. It was not nervous, it was just ready and overexcited to murder something. Whereas the other, taller beast, was calculating, standing still as a concrete pillar.

It was not long before there were red eyes around them, and dark shapes slipping from beneath the grass. Forming a circle around the two creatures.

They were Werewolves. The only things these vampiric beings detested with every inch of their deformed bodies. And they had every right to. Werewolves were the species that hunted down most of the Vampires. They dragged them away, possibly to be mercilessly tortured then murdered. They are a secretive race, who trust no one except each other. They also keep all of their endeavours to themselves, so not much is actually known about them. People have tried to learn more about them, but those guys just disappeared.

There were about thirty in total. Which was a serious overkill for just two Vampires, but a bit of an understatement for these two in particular.

They all stood in unison, their dark outlines looked freaky when in full stance. All that could be seen was their various muscular shapes, long claws, and their bushy tails moving side to side. Anarchy twitched at their united movement.

The tallest and broadest of them all, spoke deeply in a language that was unknown to any scholar or Sorceren. Sinnera realised that they were orders almost immediately before the whole pack pounced at both of them. Anarchy went into a massacre frenzy while the larger of the two smashed a right hook into the wolf in front of it, tearing its bottom jaw off completely and taking half of its snout as well. A vicious snarl tore across her face as she began tearing through the animals before her.

Anarchy had already mutilated several of them when one suddenly bit into her shoulder. She roared and used her own teeth to tear off its entire left arm. She then cleaved her entire arm straight through its heart and out the other side. Little dark slivers shimmered in the moonlight as blood flew everywhere. She dumped the body on the ground and went for the wolf to her right.

Sinnera had pieces of bodies lying all around her. Barely a scratch. Even though she could heal from just about anything in this state, Vampires were susceptible to Werewolf attacks. Which dates back to who knows when, it has nothing to do with Werewolves having weird anti-vampire poison on their claws or anything like that. It is just the work of nature, an ancient rule. So if Sin and Arc got hurt, it would hurt.

Some wolves backed away from her. Reluctant to have their lives ended from something which was clearly suicide. The brute that obviously stood as their pack leader, growled and shouted at them. Though they did not move.

Sinnera was a steaming mass of strength and animalistic properties, with blood dripping from every edge of her skin. Patiently waiting in a circle of lacerated body parts.

Anarchy was making her way through six or so others when the leader thundered into Sinnera’s torso and knocked her to the ground. Sloshing into the remains of his companions, sending bodily fluids and bits of raw flesh flying in all directions. They tore at each other, Sinnera hacked into vital parts of his body, while he just slashed and bit at whatever he could get a grip on, which wasn’t much. Sinnera was twisting her body and deflecting hits. They rolled and tumbled all over the place. It was like a cat and dog were having a fight. One was super flexible, and the other was just a strong, larger shape. He finally clubbed her left side, sending her flying and thudding to the ground in a heap of cracked bones, mangled flesh and uneven wheezing  breath. The whole right side of her body had a huge portion of it missing. She lay curled up, barely able to breath.

He raged over to her. Then brought down another claw onto her, which stopped in mid air. Her extended arm solidly held his. The wheezing had stopped. She had stopped breathing. He was completely mortified. The fact that she was even able to lift her arm, even as he watched the arteries spurt out blood, and the bones from her ribcage, cracked, missing or just exposed. This was another form of power. And as he stood, watching her mutilated body.

He drew his last breath.

Anarchy had finished her kills and watched as the other wolves sprinted off, petrified of what they had just witnessed. She saw the silhouette of the giant Werewolf, fall to the ground with a loud thud. And the shape of her companion, with his spine in her hand.

Anarchy’s beast state yielded and she returned to her normal form. Stumbling a little from the change, but still shocked of the sight before her.

The tall beast released the backbone from her bloody claw. It slowly turned its head to Anarchy. That small motion sent shivers through her hot body. She then watched as the beast fell to the ground.

Anarchy shot up and uneasily ran over to Sin, she nearly felt the urge to run on all fours. By the time she got there she had reverted back to her human state. The chunk out of her side was still heavily bleeding. She was barely able to breath. “Sin. Hey I’m back.” She said as she knelt down beside her partner. “That might need a little ointment.” She recommended as a spurt of fresh blood came from her side. She poked one of the bones and Sin made a strange noise. Anarchy raised an eyebrow at her companion, who was clearly faking near death. “I don’t think pain is supposed to look so woeful.” Anarchy then lifted her wrist to Sin’s mouth. Her fangs pierced the soft, pale flesh and she drank the scarlet liquid within.

Anarchy watched as her wound rapidly healed and rejected bits of grass and dirt, before it returned to the same golden skin she was so familiar with. She watched her belly rise and fall as Sin took in deep breaths after releasing her wrist. Both girls had shredded clothes on, thankfully they covered Anarchy’s body, but Sin was not so lucky. Her clothes simply fell off, after being three sizes too big.

She threw them off and laid in the grass, still breathing heavily. The moonlight shone upon everything around them. Anarchy just watched her companion as she gripped the grass with her hands.

“Um...Sin…?” Anarchy was concerned.

Sin made some sort of grunting noise, shot up, knocked her over, then kissed her.

“Gods you drive me crazy.” She said through gritted teeth. Her expression then changed to one of pain, as she bowed her head. She sat up, with one hand in the middle of Anarchy’s chest.

Arc observed her, she looked hurt. Sin’s eyes dashed up at the moon and Arc watched as crystal streams started at her amber eyes and slipped down her neck.

Her heart leapt into her throat and her whole body tensed. She had never seen Sin cry before. Ever. In the centuries they had been together, she had never shed a tear. Not even when she had dust in her eyes, or when a knight stabbed her in the cheek with a dagger. After that Anarchy came to believe that Sin didn’t have tear ducts. She propped herself up on her elbows. Sin’s naked, bloody body moved with the motion. Her hand stayed in the middle of her chest.

“Sinnera.” The name escaped Anarchy’s lips.

Sin bowed her head again, and fresh tears slid off  of her cheeks. “It's just...so freaking hard.” She said between sobs.

“What is?” Anarchy calmly asked as she moved up more, taking her elbows off the ground and wrapping her arms around her partner. Keeping her eyes on her, watching every little detail of her face as it moved. Admiring it. Even when Sin cried, she looked amazing.

“To...resist you.” She said with a sniff and a weep.

It snapped into Arc’s mind after a confused expression and a quick think. “You get effected by my blood! Don’t you?”

Sin gave a slight nod and put her forehead to Anarchy’s. “I never told you.” She said quietly as her sobbing began to calm down. “Because,” she hesitated, “of certain reasons...”

“Oh, those reasons.” She said somewhat sadly.

“I wish they didn’t exist.” Sin said. Anarchy’s warm breath brushing against her lips.

“But they have to. They’re the rules that govern us.”

“I don’t follow rules.”

“Well they are my rules.”

“I'll just go back to Hell and get you then.”

Anarchy laughed a little. “You know you can’t go back there after what you did.”

“I swear that wasn’t me, someone must have wrote that, why the heck did I think that killing the Devil was a good idea? That’s just not like me.”

“I disagree. That is exactly the kind of thing you would do, considering that you already did.”

Sin leaned away from Anarchy, then made a strange, contorted face. She then tightly embraced her. “I really can’t look at you right now.” She said over Arc’s shoulder.

“Haha...all those times you drank my blood...I can’t believe you didn’t warn me at least.”

“I was caught up in the moment. And I didn’t want you to give in. It would mean that I couldn’t ever see you again.”

Anarchy hugged her a little tighter and buried her face into Sin’s perfectly crafted shoulder. “I think that is a price I’m willing to pay.”

They stayed there for just a second in their long lived lives. That one moment, under the silver moonlight and the starry night, in each other’s warm and bloody arms. That was as a moment neither would forget. No matter how many years passed. No matter how many worlds apart.

Sin pulled away from Anarchy and help her there while she spoke. “Well, even though I love you.” She coughed. “Love your hugs...we should get going.”

Anarchy had the slyest of smiles plastered across her face. “You just said it.”

“No I did not.” Sin said as she got up.

Anarchy did the same. “You did too, don’t lie.”

“I’m not lying, that would be...bad...for...my lady like manner.”

Anarchy wrapped her arm around Sin’s waist. “I thought you couldn’t resist me?” She deviously said.

Sin cringed, lingered a second then turned and walked away. “It wore off.” She half yelled. Arc watched her companion waltz away, into the darkness...well she watched her lower half waltz away.

The sly grin still on her lips.
