Ch3 - Realization

My name is Karlo, a 19 years old HEALTHY young man and my interest is playing vrmmo. I am currently playing DHO as a character named Kalia. And yes, the character is a girl, not that I tried to act like one though. I mean come on... I will rather look at a girl than a guy. But if that's the case, wouldn't most of the people playing mmorpg be nekamas already? Only idiots will believe a girl is playing mmorpg.

When I am on a mission in DHO, things started to get weird...

I am busy chomping on my bread and a satisfied face was unintentionally leaked out with every bite.

Even bread can taste this delicious.

'Wah?!' A shout echoed in the woods not far from me. I turned my head towards the direction of the sound and saw two middle aged men staring at me beside a tree. The one with his butt on the ground which looked like he just fell, have a goatee (Thomas) while the one kneeling beside him have a mustache. (Hunter A)

(Geh! People…)

I thought to myself while hoping that they did not caught me slapping myself. They may have information that I need but they looked like they had just seen a ghost while staring at me.

[Hey! The two of you over there!]

I waved as I called out to them.

A few seconds had already passed but they are still in the same position beside the tree.

This is actually annoying me so I walked towards them.

[Hey! The two of you! Goatee-san and Mustache-san. Won't you two snap out of it already? You two looked like you had seen a ghost.] (me)

The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.

I said to them in an angry tone and they finally regained consciousness, trying to grasp the situation they are currently in.

[W-what? Goatee-san?] (Goatee-san)

[What a rude ojou-chan! Who are you calling Mustache?!] (Mustache-san)

Ojou-chan?! What do they mean by ojou-chan?! I know I am using a female character but they should be using my name which should be right on top of my head!

Name... Should be... Female character...

[EHHHHHHH?!]

I shouted as I just realised something SUPER IMPORTANT. If the game became real, then that will mean that I became a real girl!

The player's interface is gone so I can't see any name on top of their heads, which means there is no name stated on top of my head as well.

[W-what is it Ojou-chan?! Are you alright?] (Goatee-san)

[Woah! Don't suddenly shout like that. What happened?] (Mustache-san)

I guess I should... put that aside for now and focus on gathering information.

[Eheheh... It's nothing. Sorry for startling you two. I just needed some time to come to terms with my elephant gone...]

[[Elephant?]] (both Mustache-san and Goatee-san)

I said the last part in a quieter tone but looks like they still heard it.

[E-eh! I-I mean I would really like to see an elephant since I love them! Ehehe...]

I looked away and scratched my face while both of them looked at me with a puzzled face.

Okay whatever... I should start gathering information.

[So why are the two of you here?]

The two men eyes widened as they just remembered what they are actually here for. They turned to me with a serious face after looking behind me for a while.

[What happened here? What happened to the dragon over there? And who are you, Ojou-chan?] (Mustache-san)

The air suddenly got tense.

Hmmm... In this situation, should I tell them I slew the dragon? If this is reality, they look like they will make a fuss out of it and gathering too much attention is the last thing I want to do.

Conclusion, feign ignorance.

[I can't answer the first and second question as I have no idea what happened here. I was just passing by. As for the third question, My name is Kalia and I am on my way to the capital but I am currently lost. Will you two gentlemen be so kind as to guide me to the nearest town?]

I tried asking in a polite tone and bowed lightly to them.

The game used to teleport the players to the hunting zone so I have no idea how to go back to the city. It will be great to have someone guide me.

Goatee-san looked at Mustache-san with a face that clearly says 'let's guide this pitiful Ojou-chan' which actually kind of annoy me but I still tried my best to smile at them.

[Guess we have no choice, Distodia is not that far anyways. Follow me Ojou-chan. I will need to report to the captain first before bringing you to there. By the way, stop calling me Mustache! My name is Rufus and this guy here is Thomas.]
