Well, we got here. I started writing Doing God's Work in January 2019, pushed out the equivalent of about one book a year on it, and it eventually got picked up by Aethon Books for release on Amazon. Never in my wildest dreams did I think it would make it this far. Being written on top of a full time job for the pure love of it, DGW has been my constant companion for the last several years, and this... feels like the end of an era. But maybe also the start of a new one.
Of course, the downside of publishing is that only 10% of each book's content can stay up after launch. Book Three launched on December 26 2023, as an e-book and audiobook, and the chapters were taken down a little ahead of time to account for Amazon's exclusivity checks.
Book Four - the final book - is still up on Royal Road, and is the final book in the series. If you're a current reader or find yourself enjoying Books One, Two and Three and feel tempted for an advance peek... well, it's all there for the time being. Eventually it too will have to come down, but I'll be sure to provide advance notice.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
On a much less bittersweet note, the audiobook narrator, Joel Froomkin, absolutely blew me away with his incredible delivery from start to finish. If you're wondering whether the audio will do Loki justice - let me assure you it does, and then some.

To all DGW's readers, stay safe, be kind, and don't do anything Loki wouldn't. Now, back to the story.
