Draven wasted no time and forced himself into the nearest bush Draven landed on his knees and puked up as much blood as possible he even resorted to forcing himself to vomit to ensure all of the hobgoblin's blood was out of him. Using his sleeve to wipe away his tears and snot with his hands trembling he opened up the menu to reveal his health and mana.
Health 2/20
Mana 0/1500
"I barely survived!" Draven exclaimed, the trembling from his hands now spread over his entire body. "This isn't a game I almost died!" Draven sat in the bush pulling his legs into his chest as he tried to slow his breathing as he could feel himself starting to hyperventilate. After roughly 20 minutes, he started to calm down and decided to activate Mystic Regen. He could feel his body locking into place unable to move but at the same time, his mana began to fill up again. He could feel an external source of energy entering his body through the pores of his skin. If his spine didn't feel like it was about to shatter at any moment he would quite enjoy this feeling.
After half an hour his mana was fully replenished and no other creatures entered the clearing. Remembering the goblin that had stabbed Draven he decided to see if he was injured there. He lifted his armor to expose his side and saw no puncture wound the dagger had landed on a patch of scales. Being called Hatchling Scales they were surprisingly durable. With his mana Renewed and his health very slowly regenerating Draven came out of his hiding spot and quickly went to all the corpses and clicked loot all before running to a large nearby tree that was slightly hollowed out. Time to check the loot!
Looking into his Storage Draven counted:
21 copper and 2 silver coins
Linin Cloth x7
Dagger 7x
War Club 1x
Novice XP Orb 7x
Novice Veteran XP Orb 1x
Draven hovered over the stack of Novice XP Orbs
Novice XP Orb: a minuscule amount of XP from a low-level Creature. Consume to gain XP.
"Consume?" Does it want me to eat these orbs? Draven pulled out all the orbs and looked for any message asking to be consumed but nothing popped up. "I guess I'm supposed to eat these things." The Novice XP orbs were the size of aspirin so that wasn't bad the Novice Veteran was the size of a gel pill but round. "Well here goes nothing!" Draven threw all the orbs into his mouth and swallowed them all. Draven could feel a burning sensation run through his body it wasn't painful more like unpleasant but at the same time, he could feel his muscles surge with power.

With wide eyes, Draven jumped to his feet knocking his head on the interior of the tree. "I leveled up 4 times!" He shouted as he completely ignored the minor head trauma. Realizing how loud he was he quickly quieted down and peeked out of the hollow tree not seeing anything Draven climbed out and went behind the tree and summoned some water to rinse the blood off his body, armor, and hair and then formed a gust of wind to dry him off. Before returning to the tree's entrance Draven ripped out a few nearby bushes and covered up the entrance to the tree hollow. Seeing he was about to spend some time on the menu Draven did not want to be ambushed again while his attention was focused elsewhere. After quietly waiting for 10 minutes trying to listen for any footsteps Draven decided nothing was walking around in the nearby area and opened up the shop menu once again.
Like before practically everything was still greyed out however this time a tab labeled Racial Skills lit up with some color. Draven mentally clicked on it opening up a new screen that listed another two tabs labeled Ancient Dragon and Djinn. In the bottom right corner of the screen, Draven read
SP: 12
Before Draven could ask a description popped up.
Stolen story; please report.
SP short for Skill Points is a currency used to purchase skills. SP is acquired from the user increasing his level or by killing monsters relating to demons, creatures made of mana, reptiles, and dragonkin. Draven scratched his head in confusion. There are many similarities between this menu and the game interface in War of Battlecraft but then there are many elements completely different from the game. Draven shrugged "Well it's not like anything made sense before either." He thought to himself. Draven opened up the Djinn tab "Let's see what I can buy!"
Djinn Racial Skills
Novice Magic Comprehension Sp: 2
Mana from Nature Sp: 5
???
???
???
…
Draven naturally checked out the description of each skill.
Mana from Nature: The user will be able to absorb a portion of the mana found in nature to help cast and boost spells. Cost reduction of spells by 10%. Skill compatible with Mystic regen User will be able to replenish his mana while moving. User will have a 90% reduction of mana per minute gained when using mystic regen in this manner.
I guess that's all for now Draven thought to himself. Without choosing anything for now he moved on to the Ancient Dragon Tab.
Ancient Dragon Skills
Dragons Vitality Sp: 3
Wyrmling Scales Sp: 4
???
???
???
…
Dragons Vitality: Double the user's base Health. Health regeneration +50%
Wyrmling Scales: Upgrade the user's Hatchling Scales to Wyrmling Scales. For one hour user can extend the scales to cover his entire body. 1-hour cooldown period.
This is crazy Draven thought to himself the skills provided by his Djinn or Dragon Race could be considered a class on its own and Draven didn't even have a class yet. Ok, I just barely don't have enough Sp for all skills so I need to choose one to leave out for now. After thinking long and hard about it Draven decided on leaving out Mana from Nature. A 10% cost reduction is good and being able to passively regen mana even at only 10% of the speed of mystic regen is huge! But Novice Magic Comprehension was already going to save him a lot of mana which was enough for now as the other skills were lifesaving and therefore needed to be prioritized.
He could leave out Novice Magic Comprehension but he had a really bad grasp of how much mana he was spending when casting and going oom (out of mana) put him in a life-threatening situation. Draven then purchased the other 3 skills. The moment he clicked accept Draven fell to the ground and immediately 2 years' worth of mana training was being drilled into his memory as his entire body began to painfully itch the red scales glowed as they began to grow out slightly the patches covering more area of his skin and he could feel them becoming thicker.
His blood was pumping many times faster throughout his body his wounds from the hobgoblin that was very slowly healing were now healing at a pace visible to the eye. A few minutes later the change calmed down and Draven was able to get off the floor. Panting he said "Next time I'm going to do one skill at a time! That sucked worse than getting beat by the War Club!" After catching his breath Draven Looked at his base stats.

Before spending his Stat points Draven decided to check and fully understand what his stats affected in this world.
Strength: Increases physical strength and attack power. Increasing this stat will also increase muscle size and quality until User has achieved the Perfect body.
Agility: Increases movement speed, Overall Flexibility, and Dexterity in the user's hands and feet.
Stamina: Increases the Duration the User can maintain strenuous physical actions. An increase in this stat will also add 2 points of Health for every stat point.
Intellect: Increases the User's overall Intelligence for Investigation, Memory, Strategy, Arithmetic, and learning Professions. In Magic users, Intellect will increase Mana by 10 for every stat point.
Spirit: Decreases the chance of mind or will Control effects on the User, This includes effects relating to Charm, Mind reading, Mind Controlling, Possession, and Status effects relating to emotions. The opposite is also true if the User is the one afflicting these spells on another the higher the Spirit difference between the target and the user the more effective the spell will be. Increasing Spirit will also increase Mana Regen by 5 per hour for every stat point.
5 Per hour! Draven calculated the math "Given my 12 in spirit that's 60 mana per hour" "If I relied on that it would take me 25 hours to recharge my mana!" "Mystic Regen can do it in 30 minutes." Draven now realized how strong Mystic regen was. Pushing that to the side Draven looked at the spirit stat he did not like the idea of someone reading his mind let alone controlling it. He decided to raise his spirit to a high number to be safe and leave it there until the need for more arises. In the end, Draven raised his Spirit to 20 and his Agility to 16.
Draven felt he was far too slow, his overall damage was doing just fine but not being able to run away or catch up to some creature would get him killed. He could feel a weird sensation in his mind as it felt somehow safer… he also felt a surge of power in his legs even without testing he simply knew he was over twice as fast now. He also got the feeling that his hands and feet were more capable he stretched his fingers and they felt much more alive than before. Draven finally closed the menu and took a deep breath.
He was still a bit paranoid so after carefully inspecting the surrounding area Draven gathered some leaves in his Storage it was already nighttime but Draven could see perfectly well in the dark he returned to the Hollow and then proceeded to dump all the leaves in a large pile and fell asleep almost instantly.
