Sei's face was blooming with smiles. After all, he didn't have to work hard to find his initial believers. Even more, he was able to turn these initial believers into a dependent family. Or rather, in mortal's words—a divine family.
Divine families are very crucial to gods in this world, especially to newborn gods like him as they had a very useful characteristic.
Unlike with other mortals, Sei could now interact with the Godfrey family without any cost. As for how he was able to interact with the mother before, well that was because Nana Godfrey was praying to every god in existence—an act that was very heavy in terms of divinity and faith. Well, it was more of a heavenly law that was created in order to help with newborn gods like Sei.
Atop of that, Sei could also use his authorities to affect them without any cost as long as it was not related to anything above the first step to godhood.
Before Sei could think any deeper, he focused his mind on the matters at hand.

Tch!
‘I guess it's because only Nana knows of me within the family, well for now at least’.
‘Anyways, to heal her children with one point is going to be impossible unless I make a workaround’ thought Sei as he thought of Heaven's words.
[Use 2 points of faith power to heal Ciel Godfrey and Lucy Godfrey?]
‘What if I only heal one first, then heal the other next?’
Just as Sei was about to sink deeper into his thinking space, a glowing "firefly" flew towards him.
[+1 Faith Power]
‘Please Celestial Dragon God, please save my children…’
Hearing her prayers, Sei could only smile.
‘Aside from acquiring believers, their prayers seem to also increase faith power? Doesn't that seem too broken? Wouldn't gods just make their believers pray more? Isn't there a limit to it?’
Sei returned to reality and stopped thinking further, with a thought he consumed all his faith power.
A faint holy glow shot out from the medallion inside the shrine, it split into two before slowly falling on the children.
Perhaps because Nana was now a believer, she could see the divine light from the medallion. Expectation filled her heart when the lights fell on her children. Upon seeing their expressions soften, she smiled.
‘Celestial Dragon God, thank you’.
Seeing this, Sei also smiled both because he was able to help and because he found out that she didn't give him any faith power afterwards.
‘Fortunately there aren't any evil cults like that… or maybe unfortunately? I don't know, maybe the evil cults of this world are different’.

‘Now that they're alright for the moment, I should explore more of my abilities as a God. Let's see…’
With a single thought, the information of this family of three appeared on his mind.
[Name: Nana Godfrey
Race: Human
Bloodline: Silver Salamander(Elite/Dormant)
Bloodline Stage: Dormant
Attributes:
Constitution - 1
Strength - 0.8
Speed - 0.9
Mystery - 2
Talent/s:
None
Skills:
Ancient Language(Beginner), Cooking(Proficient), Weaving(Proficient)… ]
‘She seems very ordinary…’
According to the divine information he had obtained earlier, each attribute point was equal to the average ability of an ordinary adult man. For example, if someone had attributes like this:
[Attributes:
Constitution - 1
Strength - 2
Speed - 1
Mystery - 1 ]
Then that would mean that person had the strength of two adult men.
‘Although she does seem to have the talent for mystery and if I remember correctly that's a very important attribute. It seems to be an attribute related to spirit, magic, intelligence, wisdom, faith, and the like.’
Ugh!
“Dad!”
Hearing this, Sei returned to reality.
“Ciel, are you okay?”
In front of Nana, a boy that was ninety points alike her woke up in a daze. Unlike his mother who had silver hair and black eyes though, his eyes were golden.
The fragmented and vague memories of his nightmare made him somewhat teary eyed and fearful.
Cold sweat dripped on his back, but as soon as he heard his mother's voice his fear disappeared.
With that, he stood up from his makeshift bed and hugged his mother.
“Mommy, I miss daddy… when is he coming back?”
Just as Nana was about to answer, she felt someone tugging her shirt. When she looked, she found another cute kid who looked much like her brother.
“Lucy, do you miss you daddy too? Don't worry… daddy will be back soon!”.
Her voice cracked a bit initially, but immediately as if someone told her good news—her eyes glowed with confidence as she confidently answered her children.
After she got her children to go back to sleep, her eyes drifted off to the medallion.
She clasped her hands, “Thank you”.
~
Under the silent silver moon.
Drip!
Liquid dripped on the grassy ground, staining it with a darker colour.
Plop!
Something heavy dropped to the ground.
Shiing!
And the sound of vibrating steel broke this beautiful night's tranquility.
“Haah…”
“When will I get there…”
A figure within the forest shook his head after saying those words. His eyes then moved from the sky towards the corpses around him.
“Well at the very least, I should be able to gain more money through them. Although I'd much rather stay asleep throughout the night…”
He rummaged through the seven bandits' belongings and found the same amount of pouches.
“Haish… well, they're bandits alright. They're as poor as rats”.
In annoyance, he hastily moved these bodies away from his camp site. After which, he returned to his camp and laid on his makeshift bed and blanket.
Through the gaps between the leaves, his jet-black hair and golden eyes were illuminated. Which revealed the longing in the depths of his heart.
With a smirk he gazed at the moon and mumbled, before drifting towards the stars.
“I should get there by night if I rush tomorrow”.
