The moment Luo Kai stepped on the thin barrier he’s head calmed like a tranquil lake untouched by impurity, the concept of diversion and races ceases to exist in his mind as if everything are all equal, appearances don’t matter and world peace is achieved. Bloodshed, wars, murders and crime seems like a foreign and distant past for him.

Marcus and Luo Kai walked for an hour and eventually arrived at the center of the mountain where the ceremony will hold. There are a lot of people gathering, it is bustling but the temple itself feels very barren. There was only a couple of broken down columns, a small wishing well in the middle and a formation array. The surrounding and the temple itself feels unattended and covered in moss and greenery. Yet people pray and value the temple like it is their own vault full of gold.

“This is one of the few moments where I can talk and form bonds from other races, that could potentially become my companions in the future. I need to see whose useful here, I might even find some sandbags and meatshield* here.”

*[ Luo Kai’s mind is back to normal, Alpha blocked Luo Kai’s mind thus making him immune to the formation array enabling him to think so badly despite inside the barrier. ]

“Draconian? Are they people with dragon bloodline? Then he should have a sturdy body. A perfect meatshield.”

Alpha : “They are descendants of Demi-Dragons, they are just a quarter-dragon.”

Luo Kai slowly walked towards the direction Alpha pointed to him to meet and greet the said draconian. Draconians pride themselves with their sturdy body as a descendants of a Dragons and like to do things on their own and without guidance of their elders. Thus giving Luo Kai an opportunity to approach the alone Draconian. While Luo Kai was approaching he noticed that the aloof Draconian is talking with 3 other children of their age, making it a great opportunity to strike 4 birds with one stone.

Xingye : “It seems like all five of us are compatible with each other, why don’t we do a soul oath and be sworn brothers?”

After hearing what Xingye said, everyone looked at each other for a second and laughed. And the one who earns the most with it is Luo Kai, who is grinning and giggling as if he is a devil incarnate who deceived the Gods.

Xingye : “Since everyone agrees, it’s settled then. Since I’m the only girl here, I shall be the youngest. And Brother Luo is the most mature of us so, he should be the Eldest Brother. Brother Orphius should be the second brother, Brother Zordick should be the Third and Brother Barlock should be the Forth. And us 5 together will conquer the Mother Plane!”

“Of course I should be the Eldest, I’m at least 20 years older than you kiddos!”

No one believed what Xingye said at that moment, everyone think it’s just a child’s dream, spouting nonsense. Little did they know, that this day and time is the first ever meeting of the founders of the strongest small elite group in the Mother Plane, the Imperial Legion! But that’s a story for another time fellas.

Luo Kai : “Since it is our first meeting, why don’t we create something that would symbolize our Brotherhood?”

“Hey system is there any item in the shop that can symbolize our friendship? Like a badge, a token, a crest or something, anything will do.”

Alpha : “There is an Imperial Token used by a lost sect 590,000 years ago. That can be used as a wireless communication device. It is a token made by a meteorite with a Pentahorn Dragon symbol carved in it.”

“Yes that’s it. With this we can communicate wherever we are. And it’s also good looking, like a token of a high level sect.”

Alpha : “Each one cost 1,000 System Points, a total of 5,000 points for 5 pieces!”

“You’re so heartless! That’s so expensive!”

Alpha : “I can remove the communication function and it will only cost 100 points each!”

They all bid their farewell and waved their goodbyes.

Luo Kai returned to their spot where Marcus is waiting for him. Marcus noticed that Luo Kai seemed happy and lively.

“Did something good happened Young Master? You seemed happy.”

“Nothing really noteworthy.”

“Don’t mind me old man Marcus”

The two of them waited till sunset for the start of the ceremony. There is nothing spectacular about the ceremony it’s only a flash of light and hearing the Heavenly Tone. The so called Heavenly Tone is voice coming from heaven that everyone can hear but no one can distinguish where the voice came from, it could be from behind, the front or either sides, it could even be below or above. Everyone have their guesses but none can confirm it. That’s why it’s name Heavenly Tone because of it’s majestic trait that no one can explain but the Heaven itself who sees the people from above.

At the start of the ceremony, the night sky lit up and trumpets can be heard. There are wings flapping but no birds can be seen. Everyone bowed their heads for heaven is the only above. Raising their head is like going against the Heavens and is punishable by Heavenly Tribulation.

After hearing the Heavenly Tone, everyone raised their heads and the ceremony is completed.

“Was that the Heavenly Tone? If feels like hearing Alpha but also not Alpha.”
