Chapter 7: Life and Death Fight

In this new realm forged by Max, a realm where humans seldom ventured due to the unconventional methods of body cultivation he had adopted.

Unlike traditional human practices of refining the body through basic martial arts and medicinal baths, Max embraced the Monster's approach—engaging in fierce battles and consuming exotic plants to fortify himself.

While humans typically refrained from ingesting plants and pills during the body tempering stage, reserving such measures for the spirit gathering realm breakthrough, Max, devoid of martial arts knowledge and lacking guidance on herb selection, resorted to the Monster's methodology.

Upon attaining this newfound state, Max revisited the cavern where he previously confronted the Sibertooth Bear, determined to rectify his shortcomings.

Max's primary deficiency lay in his unarmed state, prompting him to seize two snake fangs and fashion them into improvised daggers.

Continuing his training, Max adopted this dual-dagger fighting style and committed to consuming a variety of exotic plants.

Recognizing that his usual plant diet might no longer suffice, as those were primarily consumed by beasts, he diversified his plant intake to enhance his immunity. Understanding the potential dangers of the forest, Max aimed to bolster his resistance against various threats.

A year transpired in this rigorous routine, and Max found himself locked in combat with a Silver-Patterned Python, a formidable late-stage Level 1 Monster.

Remarkably, over the past year, Max had elevated himself to the peak of the late-stage Level 1 Monster realm, or equivalently, a pinnacle Level 9 expert in the body tempering stage.

He christened this unique realm as the "Peak Late Stage Level 1 Human Monster Realm."

Suddenly, Max thrust one of the fangs into the right side of the Silver-Patterned Python's head. The python, writhing in pain, hissed and turned towards Max, attempting to bite his left hand. Seizing the opportunity, Max swiftly drove his other fang into the left side of the python's head. With all his strength, Max drilled the fangs deep into the python's head, ultimately killing it.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

Having achieved the pinnacle of the late-stage Level 1 Human Monster Realm two months prior, Max had ventured to slay the Silver-Patterned Python for its venomous glands. He sought to enhance his immunity against poison.

After the python's demise, Max dragged its carcass into the hole and commenced skinning it. Prioritizing the extraction of the venomous glands, he carefully preserved them.

Using a sharp stone he had discovered by a stream, Max proceeded to cut and prepare the python's flesh. Over the past year, Max had fashioned various utensils from plants and stones.

Having also acquired the skill of starting fire with stones, Max ignited a fire and began cooking the python's meat. Additionally, he placed the shell of a long-deceased tortoise on the fire, pouring water into it and adding some leaves to make tea. These leaves, known as "refreshing leaves," had a pleasing taste and had become a staple for Max.

A satisfied burp escaped Max's lips after a hearty meal, prompting him to relax for a while before turning his attention to the venomous glands.

In a bold move, he consumed them raw, experiencing pain in his stomach and foaming in his mouth. Despite the discomfort, Max controlled himself and adapted to the effects.

Reflecting on his near miss, Max lay on his back in the cave, contemplating his past experiences.

Despite reaching the peak of the Level 1 Human Monster Realm two months ago, he observed no signs of a breakthrough.

Intrigued, Max pondered whether individuals without spiritual roots could truly become cultivators. Considering his path aligned with monsters, who lacked spiritual roots, Max questioned how monsters cultivated and achieved breakthroughs to Level 2.

Determined to uncover the answers, Max sighed, recognizing the need for further exploration.

The next day, he cautiously approached the territory of the Fire Stripe Tiger, a Level 2 monster he had encountered when he came to the forest on his first day and also more than five months ago. Max, having fled from it previously, confirmed its higher-level status.

Stealthily climbing a tree, Max observed the Fire Stripe Tiger, curious to understand how it cultivated.

Much to Max's disappointment, after a week of vigilant observation, all he could discern about the Fire-Stripe Tiger was that it spent its time alternating between sleeping and hunting.

Frustrated by the lack of insights, Max resolved to engage in a life-and-death confrontation with the Fire-Stripe Tiger.

Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Max understood that retreating mid-fight was not an option.

Confronting a Level 2 monster at Level 1 posed an insurmountable challenge, requiring him to commit fully and risk everything.

Moreover, the constant fear of the Fire-Stripe Tiger had confined Max to the safety of his hole for too long.

Taking a deep breath, Max steeled himself and advanced toward the Fire-Stripe Tiger's lair.

As if detecting Max's presence, the tiger rose, fixing its gaze upon him and unleashing a powerful roar. Seeing this a fierce look appeared on Max’s face.

Without hesitation, both Max and the Fire-Stripe Tiger sprinted towards each other, culminating in a decisive clash as they lunged into the confrontation.
