Am I going to die here? Am I going to be forgotten? Am I going to be treated as an urban legend!? Damn, I have too much to live for… I can’t end it here! Just why am I being forsaken despite all this!? God, please tell me! Please tell us what did I do to deserve this!?
…
…
…Wait, who am I kidding.
The god was never with me. I AM forsaken all along. It’s just me and the stupid humanity on this earth, adapted with this “society”.
I’m just on my own… aren’t I.
Urgh, I just never thought that day had decided to strike me down. Honestly, just how did I not see that coming ahead of me. I don’t get it. No really, I just don’t get it.
Since I made it here so far, I may need to reintroduce myself again. Just to be clear between us. Why? I know I had introduced myself before but I only told a half of me.
Please, just hear me out.
So when I was young, I used to have, a wealthy life. Yes, you heard me. A wealthy life. My wealthy life.
You see, I used to have my wealthy life because I was so lucky to be born to be filthy rich than everyone else I look down upon them, including you read till now.
With this, my servants and the peasants, will bow to the under of my family’s name. No one can touch us, no one can resist us, and no one can hurt us. Everything was so simple in fact, it was the glorious day of my life. Or so I thought.
At the moment, I thought everything should last forever. Until then.
The scandal happened all over my family’s affair.
At first, I thought it didn’t matter to me but then, I was wrong.
My wealth, my prestigiousness, my glory, all has been taken away from me because of devils like them, were behind all of it who set my family up with one vulnerable weaknesses, that is exposing us.
I cursed whoever involved with this mess, I wished I wanted to hurt them, torture them or even worse than I couldn’t imagine. I shouldn’t let my hatred blinding me forever, but not until I’m satisfied against those muppets till vain!
Listen, I couldn’t get it over with it so easily, because of this, this is something I shouldn’t let them on the loose over a huge deal they caused my family to tear apart from me.
...
It was then I come to realise, as soon I expressed how I feel when I share my life to the people, they laughed it out loud and shrugged me off, calling me a delusional. I tried to convince everything I could, they still won’t believe me.
The one I used to looked down on them, they now looked down on me.
After all I just said, I looked at the mirror, realising how hypocrite I am.
I am a mere fool.
It doesn’t matter who I am now because no one will look after for me. They just going to let me die here and till now and that is it.
Is this what they want so be it. But before that, I need to know before I die.
Why do I even bother to live for?

Bergskaer island in Finland
If I had to recall to describe back then, it was devastating and chaotic.
As soon as the base collapsed, we, on the rooftop, were the first one we survived. Despite minor injury, we pulled up survivors as many we can before the horde arrive.
Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to save all of them and left with only a handful survivors to the west coast.
But instead, we ended up in another island as a last resort. Because there are no boats available for us we can use. They seemed to be devastated at first, to me, I say the most important is we are safe and sound.
Till then, Darrick volunteered to go back...
No, had to go back to the island again. At first, someone asked why but he already made his decision and went ahead without us. However, he won’t go there alone because I will also tag along with him. Why? Not because I’m his friend or nor his boss.
I needed someone to achieve my priority. And even if they were either dead or unable to support me, I look somewhere else for support. Simple that is.
But nevertheless, I gave him a hand which he appreciated and headed back to the island again.

We’re back in the forest, however, the horde was lurking around to find their pray. Their pray, they meant us.
When we approached, of course we did not make direct eye contact with them because that would be suicidal. Instead, we went hiding, behind the tree, which seemed to be effective as long we won’t be seen by them. And so, we sneaked around them when we took the chance.
As we continued, we reached the building, but no one was there beside us. Which is good so we can investigate there in peace.
We made the effort by removing pile of rubbles to find someone, we found no sign in this building. So we looked somewhere else.
We looked around for a clue, but what I found something was.
“?!” Disturbingly, I tried to resist from vomiting.
“You’re okay?”
“Yeah… I am. No worries...”
Darrick looked worried, I shrugged it off with ‘I am fine’. I happened to see a corpse who couldn’t get out despite being piled up with obstacles on it. This, this could be one of us if we take their place instead. I couldn’t help to feel sorry for experiencing their cruel fate.
While I was sympathising, Darrick eventually found an important clue.
“Hey, come over here.”
“Found something?”
“Yeah.”
Darrick pointed the clue he found was the foot-trails. He suggested they may had gone to south, which was too absurd for them to go where the horde was.
“Shall we move on?”
“No turning back, huh.”
Despite the huge risk we’re about to take, we then moved forward to south. While we moved forward, we didn’t took main path of foot-trails because some intruders were still there taking the main path. We don’t want to make hassle by killing them with a knife or gun.
So we sneaked around the main path to avoid unnecessary fighting like we had one before. The horde however, looked cold and depressed when we passing by. I don’t know what happen to them but I’ll grief later.
And finally, we found him. I don’t know how long we search for him but finally, we found him.
It was Hugo.
He was behind the tree and seemed to be unconscious. We rushed over for his aid and Darrick was happy to see him there.
“Holy shit, bro! You’re okay buddy!?” Darrick muttered. “You feeling alright-”
Not fully aware he was, I smacked his mouth and held tightly to shut him up. He doesn’t know why but will owe me in great debt later, in fact, some of intruders may had heard him.
The intruders who heard were shifting their gaze at us. So we swiftly grabbed Hugo and hide ourselves behind the tree to avoid being seen. A few seconds later, they left.
We then sighed in relieved. I looked around just to be sure.
“Sorry for leaving you behind, bud.” Darrick whispered in apologetic. “Reason we left you behind was because… we took the wrong person.”
Yes, all because we took the wrong person. How? Back to where before we left. We were reassured and told he was with us. But once we were there, we realised this is not the person we knew.
Instead, we took the person named, “Hugo”, who also has the same name as his.
It was very embarrassing for him to leave his ‘best friend’ behind all for one mistake. I wonder how will his friend react when he heard this? That would be funny honestly.
Anyway, I shake his shoulder to bring his attention to me, I shake my head to carry him. Darrick nodded and proceed to take him with us.
Before that, he looked cautiously all over him for injury with care. He was referring what happened to his Stig’s friend back there. As far we know, we still uncertain whether to believe the claim or not. So he need to make sure so he won’t get attacked by surprise.
Fortunately, there’s no injury but look unconscious. Darrick grabbed him and lifted on his back, carrying him like a piggy-ride.
“Alright, I got him. Let’s go.”
“O.”
We whispered, we then left carefully and quietly.
----------------------------------------
After we left, we continued to stay low and tried to leave this island as soon as possible. However, it won’t be easy. The horde swarmed an area in front of us.
We quickly sweep behind the tree with bushes around me. But we could be seen if they getting closer. We looked around to find the best place to hide was none other but one thing.
“Guess we have to make run for it.” Darrick muttered.
And I agreed, if we can’t hide then we run for it.
We waited for the intruders to spread out so we can make an opportunity for us. As we were preparing ourselves, something has saved our trouble.
Cracked! Cracked! Cracked! Cracked!
“What was that?!” I thought, suddenly heard a few small explosion nowhere.
Those who heard was the rest of intruders around us, heading to where the explosion was. About the explosion earlier was a sound of firecrackers which attracted the intruders.
We stayed low to see where they all going to, left the area to chase after the sound. After that, we stoop up to see who was behind for creating as such diversion.
We were responded by being spoken from nowhere. It was a survivor, emerging himself by climbing down from top of the tree.
“Thank you for saving us.” Darrick appreciated.
“No, thank you for ‘rescuing’ me. I’ve been stuck here all day.”
“Really?” Confused Darrick. “Where were you all the time?”
“Uh well...”
The survivor explained he was patrolling the island at south before the invasion started. As soon the invasion started, he tried to contact us but no one answered. So he fought back with his gun, but only ran out of his ammunitions. He then panic, fleeing to his ‘little tree house’ instead.
Although, I understand his decision was reasonable and justified, he will be held for further questioning after this. Why? Conspiracy reason.
“Wait. Was it you who screamed like a girl?”
“Nevermind that.” I meddled, I then asked. “Have you seen anyone beside us?”
“Uh yes. There were some of it. But they ended up dying.”
“Okay, so have you seen a person with ginger hair by any chance?”
“No, why?”
I was concerned about the baiter, Danny, who may died on his run. Or possibly get lost in the forest, turns out it wasn’t the case fortunately.
I changed the topic saying. “Anyway, we were about to leave this place. Care to join?”
“I never thought you ask! Name’s Aaron, by the way.” Raised his hand on me.
“Aron, hm? I’m Takuma. Next to me is Darrick, and Hugo… he’s sleeping. Do not wake him up.” I pointed. We both shake hands after.
“Yeah, nice to meet you but,” Darrick interrupted. “Can we go now? I just spotted a few of them.” While we were greeting each other, he happened to see the intruders on his watch.
Good eyes, Darrick. We both agreed and headed to the west before being seen by them.
We continued to stay low while sneaking around the intruders. Even though they were few of them, we don’t have time to deal with them. It may look boring without fighting with them, it is better to stay safe than feeling our sorry asses.
“Are we there yet?” Aaron asked quietly.
Darrick replied. “We’re almost there. Keep it up.”
Just only a few meters left.
And finally.
We saw where we stood up and ran into at the end of the forest. We arrived where we stand on the coast, looking at the sea with waving water.
However.
“What the…?!” Aaron froze.
What we witnessed to, was an unexpected event who mysteriously ended up tragically. All the boats we have, sunk, and gone. And if something floats on the ocean, it’s the bodies spilling amount of blood everywhere.
“Holy shit… What on earth happened here…” He felt speechless. It was shocking and horrifying for him to see.
As for us, we knew. We been here once before. From what I know how it happened, it wasn’t the horde who did it. It was our men themselves did. They panicked and race for the boat.
Once they arrived before us, they fought each other so desperately for their own survival.
They do not cooperate, just irrational and greed.
I’m not sure how long I mumbling for, we should regroup with the others now.
“We should go now.” Darrick said.
“Wha…? We just going to leave like that?”
“Yes. I mean what else can we do? Stay here and curse? Nothing brings them back, bud.”
“Fuck… alright-alright. I get the point.”
Aaron was speechless, he had to move on despite how awful it was back then, especially Darrick who felt the same way. There was nothing we can do or nor prevent early before this. We cannot foreseeing all this.
If we want to know who was behind all of it, we need to launch a full-investigation. Sadly, we don’t have the resources with us to provide for it. And also, because of Hugo’ s injury, we had to postpone for now.
As soon we’re about to move on-
BANG!
It was a sudden gunshot. Then lots of gunshot fired rapidly.
“I think they’re in trouble!” Alarmed Darrick. First to respond.
We waste in no time and ran after before it’s too late. However, because of the gunfire recently, it attracted the horde to follow up after the sound.
The horde has surrounded us. We approached to them, only to be seen by them, they now shifting their priority on us, again on this field. You got to be kidding me...
We quickly stepped back and drawn the pistol on them. We’re so sick and tired by being targeted from them again and again.

“I don’t have much. Do you?” Indeed what Aaron said.
We don’t have enough ammunition to get rid of them. Actually, why even bother. None of us has confirm a kill since back then. It was too dark where we didn’t have chance to see which killed them. Even we did, we only slow them down for a few seconds.
At instant, we kept pointing randomly, figuring out who to shoot. It was a stressful situation we had to act. But how? Shoot them out of the way? No, it’s too crowded. Killed every one of them? No, and I won’t repeat again. Damn, how do we get out of here?!
“?!”
“What ‘s up?!” Darrick asked.
Aaron replied, “Nothing! The water just scared the heck out of me! Jesus…!”
“Come on now. There’s no time to play puddle or something- Wait a minute… Guys! Off the beach, now!” He ordered.
Because of his bright idea, we immediately crossed to the sea. We started distancing ourselves from the coast. But, while we were moving faster on the sea Aaron noticed something wrong with Darrick.
“Darrick! Let’s go! What are you waiting for?!” He shouted Darrick to move on while we were waiting for him. Darrick just stood there, observing the coast very weird.
We don’t know what’s wrong with him so we just head back to see what’s wrong with him.
“Darrick, what’s wrong? You’re okay?” Concerned Aaron. “Darrick?”
We were quite worried if Darrick hides his injury, pretending he’s fine. But that’s not the case because he looked apparently fine. He just looked... so confused?
We’re not sure what is actually going on. So we both looked together to see where he stared at. As for the result regarding what we witnessed to, it just that horde was..
...staying still on the same spot where we crossed...? No, something doesn’t add up. It makes no sense why they suddenly stopped chasing us after we crossed in the sea!?
“Why’re they stop? Are they afraid of water?” Aaron asked.
“Uh, I’m not really sure if they were... Well it could be, or? Ugh, to be honest, I don’t know.”
I gave up, I’m not sure what is wrong with their behaviour. I have no single clue about them. So instead, I decided take the risk for inspection.
“I’m going to test them, cover me.” I said, and going forward. Just what on Earth am I doing…
While they were watching me, I approached slowly and cautiously to the coast. However, I noticed a long-floated stick in front of me, picked it up and kept advancing.
“RRAaww!” The horde gazed at me, menacingly.
I may be disturbed so easily but I stayed brave, yet acting foolishly.
As I stand a meter apart from them, so what am I going to do you may ask?
Well for start, I poked one of the intruder’s head with my stick, but, because not knowing “their feeling”, I was snatched right away and get slapped on my head by my own stick who I poked the same intruder.
I was off-guard and didn't react in time when I got hit. Instead, I lost my balance and fell under the sea, felt so cold and wet.
As for the audiences, Aaron grinned and laughed hysterically. And Darrick just stared at me, unexpectedly.
“Can’t believe myself.” I muttered, I had no idea what am I doing. All I did was part of my silly experiment, which upsetting them a lot of course. Maybe I deserve it.
I retreated from the coast and treat my injury simultaneously. At the same time, Darrick finally decided to open his mouth from what he learned so far.
“So just let me get this straight. The intruders we fought where they can take too much damage, but they can’t even touch the water?! Are they allergic of water or something?!”
Darrick was quite fed-off after we went through for this view. He then drawn his pistol and fired many rounds to hurt them, furiously.
“I suggest not waste it any further, hold your fire!” I ordered him to stop before wasting the ammunition any further.
After I retreated back to them, Darrick heard me and immediately stopped firing at them, instance.
He then lowered his pistol and said. “Tsk, alright then. But before we leave, I am not leaving empty handed until I’m satisfied.”
Quite upsetting after all this, I understand that. I will give a try to grant his request. I mean we’re not really in danger, and neither does the survivors from another island. Witnessing the same situation like us.
We all figuring out what to do with the intruders and how do we kill with. We couldn’t come up so easily, so we continued to think, think, and think, until someone has it.
“Ah, now I’m thinking of it. We never aim for the head, haven’t we? You know, we been focusing hitting their body so much. So, why not try on the head?”
It was Aaron who suggested, I kept holding my injured forehead that reminded me when I got hit by them, looking my hand with blood on it.
On second thought, maybe that’s the answer!
“Okay then, let’s give a try.” Said Darrick. “Oh, can any of you lend me a gun? I ran out bullets.”
“You little… ffffffff~! ...Here, take mine.” I am so done with him.
I curtly gave my gun to him which he appreciated.
Darrick then aimed the pistol on single intruder’s head, however, because of long-range, he need to go closer in close-ranged for a perfect shot. So he approached to the coast without caution.
Just a few steps ahead from us, he held the pistol tightly on the intruder’s head, then fired right away and pierced through on its head, leaving itself fell on the ground.
“Did he kill it?”
“I don’t know, but I do hope so.”
After few minutes later, Aaron and I hoped Darrick had succeeded by killing it with a simple head shot. I think it is safe for us to say, the intruder who got blown its head, finally died.
Till then he constantly fired each intruders’ heads.
“Oh god damn... Darrick!” Upsetting I was, he didn’t listen till he ran out bullet eventually.
I was planning to leave the rest of intruders on fire and burn them into ashes, rather killing them off by our hands out of spite.
“Is he been like that?” Asked Aaron in awe.
“Just do not offend him then you be fine.”
I happened to cooperate with Darrick before. But after learning his true nature, I made my own note to remind myself to not cross the line.
I wonder what their connection between Darrick and Hugo when I was not around?
“Sorry, bro. I will return your favor once we left this place.”
It appears Darrick had refrain himself and returned my pistol to me. Good to see he brought back to his sense again. He better owe me in return after this.
Now. Once we all grouped up again, the priority now was to regroup with the other survivors. And then leave this place together. But, there is a problem. Since before we arrived the island, we arrived with boats. Because no boat available left, going all the way to our home will be a huge pain.
I wonder if there are any transport we can use?
“HEY GUYS! DO YOU NEED A RIDE!?”
The hell!?
I was busy monologuing myself until I heard the loudest sound in middle of nowhere.
It shocked us we had to turn around to see where the sound coming from, only to found out it was a ship sailing toward us.
“GUYS! Why aren’t you… Oh right, they can’t hear me! Don’t worry guys! The rescue on the way!” The person with megaphone speaker on.
Wait the minute. I know that voice. I suddenly grabbed my hunting scope from my pocket and looked through the scope to see whoever was operating the ship. Once I sees the captain, it was…
“Danny?!” I shocked.
“What? He’s still alive?!”
“Who?”
Aside Aaron who doesn’t know him, it was very shocking for us. Our eyes couldn't meet, believing how in the world would he find a such miracle ship from nowhere.
Apparently, he isn't alone either. There were people who also onboard as well. They were waving their hands on us. Maybe they are the reinforcement! No, I recognised that triangle shaping hat.
“Conical hats…? Wait, the ‘Pirate’s squad’? What they doing here?” It puzzled me that squad, ‘Team Pirate Squad’, who were also involved in this island, uninvited for some reason. If they were the one who arrived as reinforcement, then it should makes sense they also brought the ship alongside, right? Right…?
“Who cares! Let’s go after that ship!” Aaron wasn’t interested confirming my theory and went after the ship glorified.
And so, we realised we had to chase after the ship as soon as possible.
After we onboard the ship, we need to rescue the remain survivors around the island before we can leave. A half an hour later, only a handful survivors we rescued so far. And the rest, were left behind for several reasons.
Finally, we left the island in peace. It was exhausting and horrifying journey we been through.
At least, we can rest for now.
One thing that needs to be taken care of was to give report to Hugo once he wakes up. It won’t be pretty when he found out for what he truly dare for.

Hugo (As First-Person View)
Unknown place
I just woke up.
Finding myself isolated in this room. A small room.
I brushed my eyes gently when I regained my conscious again. It seemed I was laid down on a bunk bed next to the wall.
I don’t know how long I’ve been unconscious. For what I do know, I was supposed to leave the island as soon as possible. But then…
“Am I dreaming all along?” Or so I thought.
If I was evacuating the island, but haven’t left yet, shouldn’t I be dead by now? I gripped my chin so hard I can if I am still dreaming or not, realising it’s not part of my dream. It’s bloody real...
I should get off and ask someone. Not only I need to know what happen back then, I need to know how long I’ve been unconscious for. So I got off from the bed and headed to a door, once I opened the door.
“Oh, so you’re finally awake? Man, you were sleeping like for hours ago.” Never thought I was greeted from the same person, Danny, he sat down on the sofa, playing the console game in the living room.
I scanned around me in this room, turns out it’s a safehouse we used to live for people like us can rest for another day.
“Oh, Danny. Uh, do you guys have anything to do in late February?” Despite seeing him here, I tend to avoid being called delusional from him.
“No, why?”
“Oh, then it is probably nothing to worry about.” I sighed in relieved. “So what’s the date of time?”
“Uhm…”
Is he making a poker face? Don’t tell me…
“Fine, you got me.” He gave up as I expected. “Today is 2nd of March, the time is midnight. You’ve been unconscious for nearly a day since after invasion.”
It was real… “Right. Then do you know after when I was still unconscious?”
“Well, after we left. We doing what we can to recover what we have left but. I’m not sure if we can stay the same despite heavy loses we been taken. Uhm, look, I don’t know much about this, so can you go talk to my bro instead? He’s over there on the table.”
He pointed his thumb where someone sat down on a chair, doing the paperwork on table was...
“Felix…” I muttered. Never thought I’m surprised to see him there. But I refrain my emotion to keep it myself confidential.
“Hmm, right. I’ll do that then. Oh, glad to see you, and your brother.”
“Same here, boss.”
As much I appreciated to see him here, he continued playing the console games without turning his eyes away from the television.
I headed to Felix where he had papers scattered around on the table. He seemed to have a hard time filling the paperwork, so I gave him a hand.
“Morning.” I greeted. Took the chair and the pen, looking through some paperworks.
“Morning. It’s passed twelve by the way.” He didn’t look up. His eyes are solely focused on paperworks.
I’m not mad or anything. But spending lots on paperwork can be pain on my ass sometimes.
While we keep ourselves busy, I tend to ask him about what happened back then when I was unconscious.
For what I been told, they were evacuating all remaining survivors and sent to the hideout for medical aids. I was also told I was rescued by Darrick and Takuma, but their whereabouts are nowhere to be seen. To me at least.
Darrick was sent away for the investigation. And Takuma was with his acquaintance for other reason, but he does help with the investigation if he was needed.
“Okay. That’s good to hear.” I should owe both of them later afterword. “So what about Sigurd? Is he up to something?”
I guessed Sigurd might be busy too for whatever reason is.
But… why do I fell quiet when I mentioned him?
Felix froze, didn’t write any further. I heard the announcement, “game over”, assuming Danny has lost the game in console games, what an awful timing...
“Oi. I’ll say it again. What, exactly, happened, to him?” I questioned. I sensed something trembling in my mind which isn’t pleasant to hear but anguished conversation here.
Danny stayed quiet, didn’t bother to look back while I was keeping my eyes on him.
“Well, sir, uhm... I know you won’t believe it but Sigurd…”
He gulped, sweatily pulled his own collar in fear. And then...
“He didn’t make it.” He finally admitted. “He didn’t make it because he was trapped in the building since after the crash. We did our best to pull him but unfortunately for him. The horde came and we had no other choice but leave him behind.”
“…” I sweat so nervously, it was very upsetting to hear. However, there’s something I need to confirm. “Right… Before you guys left him. What is his last word? How did he say?”
I wouldn’t blame them if I was in their position, I would act irrational and tried to avoid the guilt. But one thing I need to know was his last word. We need to hear his last word because it is crucial for us to remember his memorable quote, something to motivate us, or keep us going over his quote.
However, he then replied I didn’t like to hear.
“He begged.” He muttered. “He begged was his last word. He begged us so desperately to save him. Despite we tried, nothing works while he’s about to die. To end his nightmare, we, we…”
He was talking a bit slow, making him to be hesitant, trying to take a deep breath and then,
“We killed him.”
What?! “We killed him before he met his worse fate. Now listen, like I said! We had no other choice! It was one of your friend who suggested it! If not then we don’t know what to do!” Felix was afraid, no, too horrified to get scolded at.
After hearing this, my soul broke.
Learning his death was so devastating and horrifying. I thought he knew what he was doing. But I was wrong, he was always naive the whole time.
I noticed the feeling of pressure where Sugar brothers, seemed to be quite ashamed over his death. Even though I didn’t look directly at them, I can still tell what they were thinking right now.
Oh bloody-nora. I am so sick with this bullshit. It doesn’t matter how much we mourn his death, nothing will change their mind, or the society, or to show their care for him. Even they do, they’ll just treated him like an urban legend. So the rest of soulless mercenaries who fought there, died in vain. So in the end, we all should suppose to forget everything and move on from now on?
And that is why I always despise the world’s hypocrisy to begin with.
After learning from Felix, Danny began whistling and went outside of the living room, leaving only him and I left in this room. For some reason, I need to refresh my brain first because Sigurd’s death, will only haunt me if I don’t deal with it sooner. To fight this, I need to force my head out by forgetting about him.
Oh yeah, the irony. The irony for not valuing his death because we were supposed to value his death, his death has tarnished his own image. It was a despicable of him the way acted. Making us feel weak and demoralised. Which is why I lost my pride and respect for him because of that.
Once I’m freed from being haunted by a ghost, I resumed working alongside with him, I can’t just lay off easily after what we been through. So which is why, I’m going to investigate about the whole incident we previously fought against.
Why? Invasion, communication cut off, an unidentified ship brought up out of nowhere? Something doesn’t add up.
Are we being set up? By who? And why? Just to get rid of us? There is so much to answer for. I don’t even know where to start.
...I’m about to make a long briefing case. So please bear with me when I looking through from the beginning to the end.
----------------------------------------
3.4
According to my investigation so far, the intruders we fought, were dead all along since the beginning, which lead all the way back from a tragic event in Sweden. According to the media, the media said there were an unknown chemical attack in the stadium that had killed over 100 innocent citizens, including staff members. However, the whole chemical attack was all covered up, leaving the stadium clean and untraceable which is too classified from the media.
So how’s the intruders (which they are dead), can rise back up alive again? There’s a conspiracy theory suggesting it was the mad scientist who was behind the incident, indicating they brought them up back was part of biological experiment from the horror movies like Frankenstein or undead one.
To those who don’t know, the word Frankenstein means a manlike monster who brought up back ‘alive’. And undead means a corpse turn into a moving object who took over by the host as their puppet creation. I think the word ‘undead’ would be suitable despite the way they acted.
And with all that said, moving on to the same topic.
We concluded the mad scientist was behind all of it. They used biological weapon to turn all lifeless bodies into an army of undead. After that, all the undead were stored in a large container and shipped to us, unnoticed. Which was the time when Sigurd had revealed one of our newest hidden locations as soon the VIP-mission started.
Before the invasion, they arrived with a technology called ‘Electronic Countermeasure’, aka ECM, installed in the same ship to cut our communication line from each other. As soon they sailed and parked aside of the island, whoever at south were unlucky enough to get only be killed by them.
We were not on full alert because we didn’t know they were on our territory. And because we let our guard down, they then unleashed an army of undead. We now full alert as soon we heard the gunshot.
While the invasion goes on, there was a squad outside the island known as ‘Team Pirate Squad’. They were about to join us by travelling with a boat after their activity at night. Because of their late arrival, it actually saves their own lives. They overheard lots of gunfire and spotted an unidentified ship next to the coast. They tried to understand the situation on each sides, knowing what they up to. They know what they up against.
So what did they do? They decided to hijack the ship, successfully captured the ship, keeping a last sailor as their prisoner, while the rest are exterminated. However, there was one of their main flaw. And that is they don’t speak the same language as the prisoner. So they were about to blew everything up when we needed him alive for interrogation.
Then, the saviour has come to the rescue. It was Danny, he showed up at the right time with the compass up-side down while running away from the horde. When Danny jumped onboard where the horde couldn’t reach them, he was confused at first when discovering unfamiliar to begin with, and then he was told everything from the prisoner and faced… execution. God damn it.
Despite harsh treatment the prisoner received, It’s better than nothing. We cannot let any of them go to inform about us. After execution, they eventually contacted for the reinforcement after the ECM was disabled. However, they were told by the reinforcement themselves could take longer than two days, why?
And that was because of relationship issue. The incompetent team we had, thought we could handle it by ourselves while they're on their sweet little holiday. Or perhaps they left us here and thought we fail anyway? Those bloody bastards...!
In the end, they had no other choice but save us by themselves.
In the morning, they spent their whole time figuring out setting up the ship by reading a manual book laying around in the ship. Because none of them knows operating the ship, they could at least spared the prisoner if they are capable to run the ship. And then face execution. …okay it may sound too harsh.
But finally, they somehow started the engine. Despite their inexperience of sailing the big ship, they do recognised the simple mechanism accorded to the manual book. And that is the steering wheel.
And with that, they began collecting survivors around the island. As for the horde, we left them in the island because the fire will take care of them by burning them into ashes.
As for casualties, we had 30 people including me, only 14 out of 30 survived from the invasion by their own method. Such as hiding in their hideout or somehow managed to get out by force. And the rest who didn’t make it, our theory suggested they died such as being eaten alive, burned alive, froze to death, getting killed by “Sailors people” and finally, missing bodies we didn’t find for some unknown reason. Poor those guys, they never thought their lives were quite short.
So what about the outsiders? They should arrive when the island was in brink of collapse, right? Well, to be honest, we are prepared for that.
For what I know, we’re in a territory outside of the country. If there are any incident in island such as setting the island on fire, the response team might take longer to shows up because there aren’t any fire service near the island. And that is why we choose the specific spot.
However, the survivors who got out had no idea what to do next and nowhere to go. Because of no guidance at all, they were about to go crazy till a miracle ship showed up to save us.
And with that, we fled to the Swedish border as an escape route before outsiders arrived to settle down with the unrest devastating island.
And lastly…
“Gentlemen. After all this investigation. We’ve finally found the mastermind. This time, their fun time is over.” I stated right in front of my audience.
Many people in the hideout, celebrated after we finished the investigation. However, just to be clear with you…
We’re never meant, to be a good guys organisation.
We’re never meant, to protect the earth.
We’re never meant, to fight for justice.
“So when are we going to invade those suckers?” Danny asked.
What’s our purposes and why are doing it?
“No need to rush, Danny. There’s still plenty of time.” Felix responded.
It’s very complicated. We had our own reason why we volunteered for.
“That’s right, soldier.” Darrick butted in. “There’s no need for rush. But like that guy said. We still got plenty of time or else we fuck this all up, right guys?!”
“Yeah~!” People yelled.
“What? What did you say?!” Danny shouted.
“Yeah~!!!” They yelled it again.
“What~?, I can’t hear you?!”.
“YEEEEAAAHHH~!!!” They yelled out loudly.
But.
“Can you guys shut the fuck up? I’m trying to sleep!” A random person who showed up tiredly. Without a doubt, most of them yelled quietly while the others stayed silent with big sigh.
“So uhm. What did you say again?” Danny smiled innocently, they mistook him for encouraging to them. But…
When the time has finally come, we will declare a war on the opposition side. This time, there will be no laughing matter. We will show them our true strength where they never seen it before. Therefore, it will be us who took their last laugh on them.
