"A contract." The devil said. Her words had activated a spell as the vision surrounding Koata distorted and twisted. When a devil is looking for a deal with a human, the human's consciousness gets sent into a void with time being slowed. In the real world, the human's body would look out of focus because his consciousness was sent to this place. The only way to get out is when either one of the two comes to a conclusion.
In this devil's pact dimension, it isn't necessarily a void. It can depend and vary based on the demon. This pact dimension was bright and blue like the sky with it's equator being pink in color. The pink equator looked like pentagons, connected to one another. It was very interesting. There were some clouds flying past too. Although they didn't look thick but rather hollow.
Koata looked around, if he had his physical body, he would throw up from the distortion effect that took place. He gained back his focus and looked at the figure in front of him. It was black with some colorful outlines to distinguish it's body parts. It had shoulder length hair and two giant wings behind its back. It also had 3 horns. 2 giant ones on the side and a very long on from near the middle of her forehead. Her humanoid body confirmed for him that she indeed was a high ranking devil. Her three horns are further proof to that.
'A c-contract? What is this devil thinking? Is she from the ogre species?' Koata thought as he looked at the huge figure.
"Welcome, Koata." She said as she extend out her arms and then flung them to the side. "I am the devil Achlys. A high ranking devil born on the first floor of the underworld, and a follower of the blue king." She introduced herself graciously, as if innocent. Koata looked up at her, seemingly confused. "Why would a blue king's follower come all the way out here into another territory in order to seek me out? I don't trust you." He made it clear, saying it coldly.
"Scary." She said sarcastically as she looked down at him, on him. "I'm not asking you to trust me you know. I'm simply here for other matters." She made it clearer. Achlys then chuckled and sighed, but then her eyes had a sharp look as she stared down at the unfaltering human before her. "To make it simple, I'm looking for my grimoire. When devils are born, just like humans, their grimoire's are bound to their souls. In a human's case, the grimoire comes to them once they hit puberty. That's if a human accesses the grimoire world, back in ancient times however, grimoires were accessible to humans normally through libraries. In a devil's case, like me. One who can access the grimoire world. I have to find my grimoire manually and it is a pain in the ass." Achlys explained carefully while looking at him, showing no signs of lies in her voice or tone.
Koata listened carefully as well, ingesting this information. Nothing seemed to be incorrect about it. She started speaking again. "So, I want to find my grimoire. Your companionship would be fun to have. My part of the pact is, you will help me find the grimoire." Achlys finished as she then waited for Koata to speak. Koata then understood and looked at her. "If I was a normal person, I would have complied but something is bugging me. Why do you want the grimoire? What is your goal, Achlys." No matter how much she said, he would still be suspicious of her. People cannot trust random strangers on the street even if they are humans, so how would it be with a devil?
"To answer that question... I want to rebel against the blue king." She answered, truthfully. Koata's eyes widened as he gasped. "Rebel against the blue king? Do you even know what you're getting yourself into?!" Koata said as he began to sweat. "If he finds out about this we're finished." Koata then explained sharply. "Do you want us to get killed?!" He asked her in fear.

"Worry not, no one will find out about this, not anyone but you and me." She reassured in a very silent voice, almost like a whisper and then continued. "I want to stop the upcoming war with the Red king." She made her intentions clear to Koata as he then calmed down again. "And I'll give you anything in return. Money, status, power. Anything." She said, luring him into this contract even further.
Koata's head raised up at those suggestions. His life had been completely and utterly shit. Failed his exams, struggling to get money and is overall down bad in morals. Koata then looked up at her. "Then... You'll help me with something. I accept this contract." He declared as the dimension began to glow a bright light. Koata's consciousness returning to his physical body as a blue light emerged from his hand, runes. A pact rune. Symbolizing he had dealt with a devil and this specific one.
"We're done." He heard a voice and snapped behind him. "I now know what you wish for Koata." She knew she could easily grant his wish and that made her happy, because now she could use him as much as she wished without giving him so much in return. Koata then looked up at her and nodded. He then turned around and walked away into the bathroom, leaving the devil alone.
'I wonder... will I regret this? I just wanted to make myself acknowledged.' He thought and sighed, beginning to wash his face for the second time today, cleaning up the blood. After finishing, he yanked his towel from its handle, causing the handle to fall which made him groan in anger.
Exiting the bathroom, he entered his room and looked at his bed wanting to go asleep so badly and forgetting about the things that had just transpired. But he could not do that yet. Koata started changing his clothes into his work clothes. Wackdonalds. The clothes were not all that bad, the food was great too, plus he gets a free meal after a full shift so that's nice too. The payment was survivable is what he'd comment on it.
Koata exited his room, grabbing his keys and his wallet. He then checked for his phone in his wallet and had a mini heart attack. "W-where is it?... Oh right, I just changed." The boy remembered as he sighed in relief and went back to his room grabbing his phone and going back to the living room. In which he saw the devil making herself at home and watching television. "What the hell are you doing?" Koata asked, seemingly annoyed.
"Hm? I'm watching television." She replied as if it is the most normal thing in the entire world which made Koata's veins almost pop. "If you're gonna live with me then you better pay rent." He declared, walking away to the door. "Where are you going?" She questioned him, amused with his ridiculous attire. "To work." Koata opened the door and left, chanting a blessing which caused the devil inside to instantly be teleported outside.
"Wha- Hey! I just got to the good part!" Achlys, who was now angry, screamed at him. "Not my problem." With a lazy reply, Koata got on his bike and left for work. He felt a sudden weight on his left shoulder as he looked towards it and saw something which made him jump, "AH! What the hell?!" Koata regained balance of the bike and then grabbed his chest. "What the hell are you doing here?"
A chibii version of Achlys was sitting on his shoulder, enjoying the wind. "Following you, but don't worry, no one can see me." Achyls felt the wind blow on her face as they drove by. "Why must you follow me..." 'Sigh... this is tiresome.' Koata thought with regret visible on his face. "It's boring back there. Our king can't even entertain us." Achlys stated, with a gloomy look. "He's always so strict, banning the most fun of things we like to do such as playing with humans, or even contacting them." She went on a rant about how bad her king was. Somehow Koata wasn't surprised. Human world leaders can be crap too. If he could, he'd murder them all and rule over. But he can't, and that is what makes every lesser human so insignificant...
"I have a question regarding a certain devil..."
