Saken’s first instinct was to chase down and disembowel the monster that destroyed the house, but Mina needed comforting after the death of her family so Saken walked over to her and put a comforting hand on her shoulder. She gave a trembling sigh and addressed Saken directly.
“I won’t let this stand. I’ll find and kill every last one of the fools who decided to destroy the Shindu family.”
Saken kept quiet because he didn’t want to tell her about the Sadist or about what it wanted to do to him. He didn’t want her to hate him, but Saken didn’t want to lie to her either. As Saken was deciding what to say, Mina stood and turned to face him, tears still dripping down her face.

“Will you join me?”
Saken didn’t even hesitate, “I will.” He replied in a grim tone.
Mina nodded and started scavenging the ruins of the house for anything they could use. Saken found some food and Mina found some extra clothes as well as a backpack to carry everything. After deciding whether or not a burnt piece of wood with nails in it would be a good weapon, Mina called out to him.
“Let’s get going before we lose their tracks!” She shouted from the front yard.
“I’ll be there in a second!” Saken replied as he tossed the studded stick into a pile of rubble. As he leaves he sees a flash of bone and finds Albert’s collections. With no thought of the action, Saken grabs the fangs and stuffs them into his pocket and meets Mina.
“Shall we go?” She asked him.
