Mina didn’t know what to say. Saken sat there, hands over his eyes muttering things about how they betray him. Mina put a gentle hand on his shoulder.
“Hey, I know you're scared but can you just try to open your eyes? I need to see what’s wrong.”
Saken shuddered but after struggling he opened his eyes, and Mina immediately saw what was wrong. He had a curse placed on his eyes, Mina had no idea what he was forced to see but from the way he looks like he’s about to scream and cry it must have been horrible.

“Saken you can close your eyes.” Mina whispered to him and he slammed his eyes shut. Mina thought about the closest curse-eater and decided that she could carry Saken there.
“Saken, I can fix your eyes. I know someone who can fix you, and the fastest way would be for me to carry you.” Mina almost begged him to let her but he agreed instantly.
“If the fastest way is a piggyback ride, my eyes are more important than my pride.” Saken set his face and his shaking subsided. Mina bent down so he could climb on and when he did she started a light jog towards the closest curse-eater. Which just so happened to be in the City of Tears. Mina wasn’t excited to bring Saken to a place like that but she must for his sake. She just hoped they didn’t die on the way in.
