Khee starts to lazily draw something in the dirt, their clawed finger tracing haphazard lines, paths, and canals into the dirt, as a semi-competent map has been sketched out, The feral yellow eyes of the Ratmen Commander flick up, catching the gaze of the ruby-eyed Warlord, who gives a wide grin
“Alright, currently we are in this trench” Amelia begins, pointing at a specific line near the middle of the map, just as a bolt of lightning, followed by a loud “SHUT UP!” passes overhead, not one to lose her cool, Amelia continues “The godling is over there” She points at a dot, surrounded by a small circle
“An Interesting thing about the Thunder Godling, is that He can’t move when using his electrical powers, that said, he’s still Level [150] so don’t pick a fight with him” Another bolt of lightning sails overhead, as Khee turns and shouts off an “OUR SISTER HAS BETTER AIM THAN YOU, AND SHE’S MISSING HER EYES!” Another bolt of lightning is sent careening over the trench, and the Unamused Khee sits back down
“So anyways, since we can’t outright beat him in a fight, so we’re digging away, and don’t worry, despite his cries of ‘Shut Up’ He’s known to be deaf” Amelia rolls her eyes, crossing her arms, just as Khee flips a rude gesture at the Godling, eliciting a border-line animalistic snarl, as the godling, eyes glowing blue, shortened black hair sparking, bands of electricity bounding off of his near-anorexic body, fires off another bolt, and completely misses Khee, due to lightning needing a lot of fine control to aim, control that he can’t quite give due to the UNGODLY RAGE he is currently feeling
While the godling foams at the mouth, 4 elf warriors and 8 Ratling Warriors started digging a hole with surprising haste, probably not wanting to be remotely near a godling that Khee has managed to get foaming at the mouth, with the others from the outcast army bringing in wood and steel from the nearby war machines, both elven and Rattish
Time goes by quickly, with a lot of wild thunderbolts, many rude gestures from Khee, a lot of digging, and fortifying the tunnel in general, at this point, Khee has settled into interpretive dancing at the Godling, much to said Godling’s rage, as pure-white foam pours from his mouth
“Yeah, most lightning mages, godling or not, need extreme amounts of fine control to fire off their attacks in the direction they want ‘em” Amelia takes a sip of her shitty MRE coffee, Elven, of course, as She doesn’t want to take the chance with the Rat MRES, as they have meth chocolate bars in those.
Khee watches as the Godling attacks anything around him, so fucking enraged that he can’t tell if anything is alive or not, must’ve been a Berserker in life, before becoming a godling, which would explain the sheer rage and inability to hit targets farther than 20 feet away… yeah most likely.
They flinch as one of the Elven catapults near them shatters apart into shards and random planks of wood, one of the Beserk Godling’s bolts having hit it head-on, Khee slowly inches back into the trench, before worriedly looking at Amelia

“Hey, uh, is the tunnel done?” Khee would be sweating if they had sweat glands
“Almost, Why?” Amelia’s head twitched to look at Khee, Ruby-esque eyes regarding him with suspicion, and a slight bit of concern, Khee shakes their head, banishing the false thoughts
“I think the godling used to be a berserker… given how one bolt of lightning shattered a catapult..” A large explosion of dirt is seen, heard, and felt as a bolt of lightning lands right in front of the trench like the hammer of a god
Amelia’s eyes flick to the plume of dirt, then she looks at the tunnel “HURRY UP, THE GODLING IS A BERSERKER!” genuine panic sets in her voice, as both halves of the greater whole lurch forwards to help the digging efforts
Every soldier who heard the shout suddenly double-timed it, rushing back and forth, trying to get enough wood and steel to the tunnel to reinforce it in the time it is dug, streams of colorful curses coming from each man and woman, elf and rat alike, there is nothing like near-death panic to build strong bonds!
The tunnel breaks through to what looks to be an ancient dwarf crypt, as the ragged army piles in, and then collapses the tunnel, Khee looks down the tunnel to their left, only to see a dwarf and a gnome, the Dwarf is short and stocky, his beard and hair the color of fire, his frame packed with muscle, simple, if a bit rusty, chainmail armor as his burning blue eyes widen
The gnome is even shorter than the dwarf, her shoulder-length black hair draping over her sea-green eyes, and her simple linen dress sways as she stumbles back slightly
Khee raises their hands in a non-threatening manner as the dwarf pulls out his war axe
“Who are ye! Why are you in my family’s Crypt!” the fire-headed dwarf shouts, a snarl on his lips
Amelia walks beside Khee “We were escaping the Thunder Godling, You know of him?”
“That prick? He’s been causing problems in this area since my grandfather’s father! So he picked a fight with two armies and won?” The dwarf slowly lowered his war axe, looking warily at Khee “But why are a bunch of Elves palling around with the” the dwarf shudders in disgust “Ratmen”
“We got soul-bound to this dumbass, first off,” Khee said off-handedly, as Amelia holds her hand over her heart, leaning down in what seemed like a pain, a sarcastic smile on her face “You wound me so, my love”
Khee’s look of disgust must’ve been particularly funny, given how Amelia started laughing up a storm, even the little gnomish girl giggled slightly as the dwarf chuffed humor-fully
“FUCK ALL OF YOU!” Khee turns to walk back into the pack of elf and ratling soldiers, only for Amelia to grab them by the back of their armor and dragged them back pulling the VERY unwilling rat into a hug, she smiles as Khee thrashes and snarls
“Well then, welcome to my Family’s crypt! I’m Yolrock Fire-Brand, and this lil’ darling is Annabel!” The dwarf laughs a great belly laugh, as a few Ratmen realize the position their leader is in, and snicker at them, Ratling loyalty for you
“H-hi... I’m A-Annabel… can I pet the Ratman?” She shyly asks, her hair shifting as she moves slightly
“I. Will. En- Mrgph!” This is all Khee gets out as Amelia shuts their mouth, she grins and says “Of course, you can pet Khee! I’ll make sure they don’t hurt you!” Annabel smiles, gently petting the extremely unwilling rat
