Diary of the End
The same steps

The same steps

Once Kyle went home, he greeted his parents and quickly ran to his sister's room to show her the images and tell hell what he saw.

She was a couple of years older than Kyle, and she just graduated from college. She was not looking for a job or to move out. She was happily making a small income as a mystery investigations blogger/influencer.

And this case which she stumbled upon, was going to be her best piece yet. One that her followers will undoubtedly want to hear about and will make her grow her follower base.

She was going to title it [The search for my missing brother], and she was going to milk it as much as she can once she gets going with a bit of information.

Her brother had long ago vanished from their lives. But when she looked him up, she found out that he disappeared from everywhere else a few years since she last saw him.

With curiosity and under the spirit of investigation, with a hint of concern for the brother that she barly remembers. She recruited Kyle into her cause.

He was looking for a part-time job anyway, and the location of where she wanted to send him was convenient - so Kyle didn't mind, and in due time he started to enjoy it. It was clear to him that even though his sister acted as if she only cared about the story, she was, in fact, concerned and missing their elder brother, whom he couldn't remember.

After she finished reading the pictures of the diary, Ella looked at her brother and said. "How exciting. Is there a hidden location as he claims? "

"Yes, someone who worked there for years told me where I could find it. We can't usually see it. It has a separate entrance from the forest side.

but there is heavy security there."

"At a pool club? now I'm more curious about what goes on there."

"I'll go there tomorrow on my shift"

"Honestly, I'm a bit concerned now that you said there is security there. It is not dangerous, right?"

"Well, no. But I am not sure how I'll manage to go in. Well, I know the guards come an hour before the shift starts - so what if I went there a bit earlier that day, walked in, and sat there in peace until the guards come, and until the guards go home?"

"Take your books with you, if someone asked you what you are doing so early there, you could say you wanted to do some homework assignments before your shift started."

"Let us do this!"

"Okay, but once you are in - video call me. I'll record it all as well."

The next day, Ella was holding the phone in her hand, watching as three cars drove into the parking space. All three of them were filled with soldiers.

Kyle had his headphones on, and he heard Ella cursing, "what is going on?"

He did not dare reply or make any noise. He kept his phone's camera fixed at the people in front of him.

Suddenly, big red flashing lights almost blinded him. Then, a breath later, the line disconnected.

She was concerned all day, but she confirmed that something terrible must've happened when her brother did not return that night.
