"Girl, wake up!"
What's going on. Who is that voice, I want to sleep, five more minutes.
"Five more minutes."
"Wake up now!"
Gee, what a persistent person.
"Okay, okay, I'm up."
Who the hell is this guy? On my left, an intimidating person wearing plated armor from head to toe, and a sword on his hip, not much to tell about this guy.
"Finally. I thought you were dead. That skin doesn't look healthy at all. You should stay more in the sun."
"Leave the child alone, Greg. She must be hungry. Here girl, take this."
A woman in typical mages robes hands me a plate with I guess soup? She has a beautiful figure with black eyes and black hair. At her back is a staff with an orb.
"Thanks? I'm not hungry, though."
"You need to eat. You are a growing child."
Child? What is she talking about? Looking at my hands, they seem to be small? How is that possible I'm 33 years old? Now I notice that the clothes I wear were gothic in style and on my left hand on the middle finger was a golden ring plus the cross earring on my ear. Okay, this is like the character I made. There is no way in hell that I become like that.
"You look troubled. Are you okay?"
Another man with a cross on his armor blasts me out of my thought. The clothes he has are typical for a religious person. A healer perhaps, or a paladin? Like the woman, he has black eyes and black hair and a scar on his left eye.
"She probably plots on how to take us down. If she is royal, where are her guards? I still believe we should leave her here."
Centering my sight to the voice, I look up in the tree right above me. A silhouette seems to be stationary on a branch. Based on the sound, it's a woman. Probably a rouge or an assassin.
"Misty, we talked about it. We won't leave her here, royal or not."
The mage takes my defense, looking straight at me with her black eyes and still holding the plate she lovers it to the ground right in front of me.
"Right, you must be wondering who we are. The guy in armor is Greg, the man with the cross on his chest is Jonathan, and the grumpy up in the tree is Misty. I'm Ali, what's your name?"
My name? If I'm my character and that's a big if, it should be Ellesha. This is pretty weird. Why am I not panicking? I hate to met new people. Wait, if I'm my character, I should be able to see my status, no? Let's try. Status.

Wow. Nice. I guess it settles. I know I died in the elevator; there's no way that was not real. I'm in a game. What should I do?
"You haven't touched the soup."
Ali brings me back from the screen to face her. She is right in my face.
"I'm not hungry. Where am I?"
"You don't know where you are? We are in The Grey Forest. In the Kingdom of Amisia"
"Doesn't sound familiar. What year is it?"
"201 after the Great War. Are you okay? Do you know your name?"
"Ellesha. That's my name."
"Okey, Ellesha, where are your guards?"
Guards? What's she talking about? Does she think I'm royal? It's because of my clothes, isn't it? Hmm. I need a story for the reason I'm here. I could just control them, I have the skill to do that, but they are the first humans I see. I don't want to attract attention to me. Judging by their equipment and the balance they have with the party, they must be adventurers and essential. Or I could just tell them the truth, and It's not like they know what race I'm and what it implies. Yeah, let's be honest. If it comes to the worst, I could just kill them all.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
"Dead, six feet underground most likely. I haven't seen them for 300 years."
All of the party members froze at that statement and looked at me. Suddenly all of them take their weapons and become weary of me.
"What are you? And don't lie, I have a skill that would know if you do!"
Jonathan threatens me with his sword and a cross in his left hand.
"Relax. If I wanted you dead, I would have done so already."
With these words, I get up from the ground clean what grass I had on my clothes and proudly state.
"I'm a vampire. You should be glad that I won't kill you right here right now for disturbing my sleep. Lower your weapons; you will be the only ones hurt if we fight."
Jonathan takes a look at Ali and Greg, both shake their heads to a no as if to answer the question if the heard of what am I.
"If we lower our weapons, do I have your word that you won't hurt us?"
"You have my word."
"She's telling the truth so far."
"I told you that its not safe, Ali. My identify won't work on her. All I see is her name and question marks."
"Okey Ellesha, we will lower our weapons, but don't make any sudden moves."
"But, Ali!"
"Do it, Misty!"
The atmosphere is tense when everybody returns their weapons and takes a seat where they were from the beginning. I lied about the guards and not hurting them, is his skill not working or what? Or do I have a skill that counteracts his? If identify doesn't work on me, that's kind of nice if you ask me. After a few moments of staring at me, the first to ask a question is Jonathan.
"Why are you here?"
"I don't know. I don't remember how I got here or where I am."
"What's a vampire?"
"It's not a demon if you wonder."
"You still haven't answered my question."
"And I won't. Just answer some questions for me, and I will be on my way. It's that fine?"
"What's in it for us?"
"Greg, not everything is about money. Ellesha, we will tell you what you want if you tell us what you are."
I stare at Ali for a couple of minutes, wondering how I should proceed. What should I tell them? The simple truth with some lies to test Greg's skill, yeah, that would do.
"A vampire is a creature of the night blessed by the moon and cursed by the sun. Cursed with immortality, we can't walk in the sun without an item to protect us. This cross that I have on my ear? It protects me from burning right now because of the sun."
"So, if we take that cross, you will die?"
"Yes, if you could, but I will kill you before you even touch it."
Ali then takes a look at Jonathan and, with a simple nod, confirms everything I said. Huh, so I could lie all I want. That is if he has the skill, and he didn't lie. Ahh, so tiring. Interacting with new people always consumes my reserves of social energy.
"A deal is a deal what do you want to know?"
What I want to know. Hmm. A town would provide a better understanding of this world and also who owns this place. Oh right, who does?
"Who owns the forest?"
"The forest? The Kingdom of Amisia owns the Grey Forest."
"I see. Are you adventurers?"
"No, we are exploring the forest."
"Exploring that's it?"
"Yes, that's it."
Extremely unlikely, based on her tone, she's lying. Well, not that I care about it. I could make a dungeon in a mountain; hopefully, there are mountains here.
"Are there any mountains in this forest?"
"No. Why would you need a mountain?"
"Now, now let's not ask stupid questions. How about this, I asked you four questions, and you answered them, you get to ask me three questions, and I will answer them."
Ali looks at me with newfound bravery and some curiosity and begins to think. She makes some hand gestures to the others and gets up from her seat.
"Could I take Jonathan and Greg with me to make the questions. Misty here will stay with you."
"Why me?"
"Get down here, Misty, or I will not give you any more cookies."
"Ugh. Fine! I want double for this."
Some movements behind my back and I could see at the base of the tree a woman with a hood and typical armor for rouges. At her ship are a dagger and a mini bag.
"Watch you looking at?"
Misty barks at me, but I remain unfazed. I must have some skills for emotion control or something. Why am I not intimidated? Is it because I am a vampire?
"Sure, you can go."
Ali, Greg, and Jonathan go along some trees where I couldn't see them, leaving me with Misty.
"So, what do you eat?"
"Pardon?"
"What do you eat moron, or you didn't hear me?"
Gee, what's her problem?
"Blood."
"What?"
"Blood or you didn't hear me, moron?"
"How does that work?"
"Quite simple."
"You don't eat normal food?"
"No."
"Why? You are missing all the good stuff."
"Because if I do, I will throw up everything I ate."
"Must be fun living without testing anything you want."
"Oh, I can taste, alright. You smell like peaches in the warm summer."
Silence takes over us with these words and awkwardness fallows. Misty bounces from one leg to the other and opens her mouth once every two minutes trying to say something. Eventually, she sets her sight on me, opens her mouth, and says:
"What happens when you don't eat?"
Whoa, I didn't see that coming. I did specify that a vampire would go berserk when he doesn't drink blood over some time. The younger the vampire, the more blood he needs, and more times he should feed in a day. Though I don't suffer from this problem as an elder vampire, I could go decades without one drop of blood.
"I would go berserker and kill every living being until I'm satisfied."
I almost laughed at her because of her face. As soon as the words part my lips, she petrifies on the spot, and her face loses all her color.
"Ar-are you hungry?
"No."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Misty, I'm sure. Why are you asking me this anyway?"
"I-I have danger sense skill, and since I have met you on that patch of grass, my senses were telling me to run with all my might. That was when you were sleeping."
"So? I don't care, I could control myself even if there would be a pool of blood right beside me."
The dagger on her hips is unsheathed and brought to her left hand.
"Let's test that."
With a quick movement, she cuts herself right in the middle of her palm. It didn't take long for the smell to come to me and turn everything red. I could see her cardiovascular system perfectly from my distance. Pointing her dagger to me she prepares for something. I don't know what, I haven't moved from the spot I was.
"Your eyes have changed, they are red!"
Of course, the are you, idiot what did you expect?
"What's going on here?"
Ali, Greg, and Jonathan return from the forest looking deliciously good. Especially, Ali, she smells like a strawberry. Damn, I want to bite her.
"What did you do Misty?"
