The academy sure has a lot of people. When we exited the house, there were dozens of groups of different spices, from humanoid dragons to catgirls, to demons, like the big type of demons. Wrath demons, maybe?
"Say, Abigail, how many people are in this academy?"
"Half of the population is registered with the academy, but only a few do come for the lectures. Most come at this academy for the explorer job and the integration in society. This way, ma- My lady."
The space behind the house could serve as a training ground as long as you don't take into consideration the damage to the environment, like what I see right now. Patches of grass are burned, two trees are cut, and one is full of daggers. From where did they get the daggers? There are what? Ten-twenty? Misty sure had fun with that one.
"Do you find this situation infuriating, Abigail?"
"Pardon?"
"I mean the way their training affects the environment. As your title is Natures Ally, do you feel any discomfort?"
"I don't mind their training, my lady, as long as they can keep it to this place and don't affect the environment too much."
"I see. Regarding your duties, I want you to serve me like I suggested as a maid and also as a blood bag. Since I don't feed on normal food, your health comes first. You have to take better care of yourself from now on. That's an order."
"As you wish, my lady."
"I can see them now. You can go and prepare some food for them."
"Would you like for the food to be bought outside?"
"If you could do that."
"Very well. Should I also prepare something for you?"
"No."
"Then I will be on my way."
I see her walk inside the house in her maid clothes. She sure will attract attention, and that attention will be bought to me. So much for laying low. Sigh. Now, why are they training? To get more powerful? To fight me as the king ordered? Did the king order an assassination on me after he was done? Is this why he pushed them on to me? Regardless, I have to know. Walking my small frame of the body in a black gothic dress while the sun is out wasn't the best idea. Do I have an umbrella in my inventory? Oh yeah, I do. Lucky me. Equipping it in my left hand, the umbrella was white and more prominent than my body.
With this, the sun can't bear his teeth at me. I look at Ali's party to see them fighting someone else. Unrecognizable. An instructor, perhaps? But why? I don't have any money, and I don't think the queen or king, for that matter, would send someone to train them. Making my way over there, I noticed how tired they are. Ali's robe was discarded to show how athletic she is and how modest her chest is. Misty changed from all black to now, all white with her face and hair still covered. Jonathan and Greg gave up the armor, and now they are fighting with their chest exposed, revealing the abs on both of them. Greg apparently is an elf given the fact that he has long ears bigger than a human. The instructor is exposed to be a woman with a massive sword in her hands. Her body screams of macho man. How do I know she is a woman? Her huge boobs, that's how. How the hell does she fight like that? Her back must be in so much pain right now.
The fight keeps going even with me advancing to meet them. Suddenly I could see the instructor almost decapitating Ali, so, with the short distance that it was, I moved with my inhuman speed right when the sword was about to strike, stopping it with one of my nails. Everybody freezes to interpret the situation, only for a few seconds. The instructor jumps a few steps back, still holding the sword only now pointing at me.
"Who the hell a-"
"Master, you have awakened!"
Ali and the party begins to bow at me. I have a strange sense of deja vu.
"Raise your head. Also, why are you calling me master?"
"Abigail told us to address you as such. She told us that it is the proper way to address you now, given our situation."
"Call me my lady or something else, or you can call my name, it's fine by me. So tell me, why does a stranger almost decapitated one member of my court?"
"Well, I haven't met ya, girl. Name's Polaris. The princess told me to train these maggots."
Maggots?! "I would like it if you don't slander my subjects. An attack on one of them is an attack on me."

"Do ya have the power to make me?"
"Is that a provocation I hear? Did the princess sent you here for this?"
"What? Ya scared that ya can't take me?"
Sigh. "Misty, can I have a dagger?"
She takes one from her pouch and throws it to me. If I weren't a vampire, I would probably be dead if not for my speed. Gee, I should talk with her. I intercept it, moments before the dagger hits my face, unequipping my parasol. I look at her and decide her fate. Should I kill her? I could get away saying that it's not reasonable to insult a subject of a vampire, even in training. Nah, too much work on that. How about having some fun with her. Embarrassing her by not moving from this spot could tarnish her reputation, that is, if she has one. She most likely does because the princess recommended her.
"How about this. I will not move from this spot. You can attack me with everything you have. If I win, I want never to see you again if you win you can say whatever you want about me. You can call me even your bitch. Does that sound fair?"
She looks at me and then burst out laughing maniacally. She has a screw loose.
"Hahaha, sure, girl! I accept."
"Ellesha, are you sure? She is strong."
Jonathan brings my attention to him. He sure looks good with those abs. Do everybody on this planet seems as good as him? Handsome face, a good body, and a pleasant personality. Meh, I might try him later.
"It's fine, Jonathan." I got a skill just for her.
Class Skill: Critical Eyes
With this skill, I can see the movements of the opponent in slow motion. And if she is faster then my ability, it activates the second stage, which allows me to see a few seconds in the future. OP as fuck, but I didn't know at that time that I will be reborn as this character. Ah, right, later, I should look at my status to see the changes.
"Shall we dance?"
She screams and runs straight at me with her huge ass sword, striking on my left side, aiming for my arm. I parry it with the dagger without much effort. The sword hits the ground beside me. Surprize can be seen on her face. Then she changes her position and keeps going. Left, right, left leg, right leg, head, lungs, stomach. She aims pretty well with her sword. I can see a pattern in her fighting. She tries hard to strike me, to no avail. If you thought you could best a vampire in speed, you should know better. Even without my skill, I can parry her attacks. Eventually, she lowers her sword breathing heavily to make up for the lost oxygen.
"Are you done?"
Hah. "I ain't done yet! CALL OF THE WILD!"
Oh, her speed increased. Not by much, but it did. She keeps going with the same pattern. Why? Did someone instruct her to take out first the less used arm? Or is there some other purpose? What do I have on my left so important? My cross earing is. Does she think she can kill me? From where did she get the idea that the cross is my weakness? I only told Ali's party about it. Did they tell her? Was she perhaps sent to try and kill me? I have to know.
"Are you perhaps targeting my earing?"
She stops in her tracks and tries again to strike my head on my left side, conforming to my accusation.
"Who told you? Ali's party seems unlikely due to the life debt they have. But then again, I don't know much about them."
"Shut up!"
Whoa, what a reaction. Her strikes become more ferocious, aiming only on my left side now. Left leg, head, arm. This is starting to be irritating. I guess I should end this. When she struck at my head, I used my left hand this time, stopping the sword with my nails. Now in my hand, she struggles to move the sword from my hold, with no success. I then crush the middle of the sword making the duel null.
"I guess the duel is over. I win."
"What? How is this fair?!"
"I didn't specify how one would win, did I? You have no sword to replace the one I broke, and I haven't moved one step from my spot. Therefore I win."
"But-"
"No buts. The duel is finished. Get out of my sight!"
She looks around for a few seconds and sees what's left of her sword.
"You will regret this!"
Yeah, I won't. Exiting the training area in the back of the house, I am now left with Ali's party.
"Here, Misty, thank you for the dagger."
"Damn, you got that bitch running with her tail between her legs. Nice!"
"Why do you need training?"
"Mary suggested that we should train if we want to be your bodyguards. Ah, also we should see the royal family. They wanted to talk about your reward for saving the princess."
"Later, Ali, first you should eat."
I could see Abigail with a cart full of food. From where did she get that? Taking my parasol again from the inventory, I step to meet Abigail in her track to us.
"Is there a table we can use?"
"Ah, yes. Mary bought one. We can go get it if you want."
"If you would be kind, Jonathan. Are there seats thought? We can't eat while standing."
"There are some. I will go get them."
"Thank you, Greg."
With the table and the seats arranged, Abigail and Ali begun to put the food on the table, arranging the different food she made. Damn, she can cook alright. I wonder from where did she get the money to buy this much food. Sigh, I wish I could eat. Why did I make the vampire race unable to eat normal food? It seems like a proper idea at that time. While I wonder about my race, I noticed that no one is eating. Are they waiting for my approval?
"What are you waiting for? Go on, eat."
"Thank you for the meal!"
Wow, this is creepy. How do they do this? Talking at the same time can be a skill? Maybe. Right, I should set the questions now. From where does Abigail get the money for this food, what do the royals want with me again, and where the hell is Mary? Eh, at least this is nice, with all of us together.
Yeah. What a good day.
