Caleb smiled as he looked over his status page. Firstly he had distributed his free points:+44 AGI, +4 VIT, +9 INT, +6 WIS, +6 STR, +1 PER. After that he received the full 25 points from the Cleansing distributed like: +5 TOUGH, +4 STR, +2 WIS, +10 WIL, +2 PER + INT. He had also bought the tome Basics of Runes: Tier 1. It had all 3,600 runes of which Caleb had already mastered 144 runes, some may believe that this meant that he had mastered 4% but mastering all 3,600 runes only got Tier 1 mastery to 50% the other 50% came from mastering putting the runes together as they could change drastically then. Another thing he had learned was that the strength stat added stamina until strength reached 100, while endurance always helped stamina while also making you lose stamina more slowly.

Evriu had also gone over the different affinities and what was a good level of affinity. First was that most people only had 1 or 2 affinities at either inferior or low. Some had zero affinities but this was extremely rare. A genius would have at least one affinity at high. He also explained to Caleb that a hidden affinity meant that you had a unawakened bloodline, though there was no guarantee that you ever could awaken the bloodline meaning the affinity would stay locked. Good news was that an affinity tied to a bloodline was always at high at the bear minimum. When Caleb asked him about elemental weaknesses Evriu seemed taken aback. soon he explained that an elemental weakness was extremely rare in humans and usually pointed to a Supreme or higher affinity with an element that was in contention with the weakness element. Evriu showed a lot of curiosity towards Caleb's elements after that. Caleb decided to keep them to himself as having hidden cards was always good and telling someone else how to more easily kill you was plain stupid.
Turning to his 2 teammates Caleb asked what their plans going forward was.Thomas was the first to respond, "I am going to practice some blacksmithing a create a few axes and swords, I am hoping that will be able to get some kind of smithing profession. As for a class my bloodline feels like it plus all the fighting I've done will lead me to a class I will enjoy."
"Well I don't have some OP bloodline to fall back on so I plan to go and try to kill a few things above my level, I also plan to search the market for interesting things to make arrows from. I Have to say I love this worlds quivers," Once he said that Caleb couldn't help but to once more inspect the man's quiver.
Archer's Quiver
Quality: Inferior
Durability: 80/80
Enchantments: Arrow Storage
Arrows Stored: 100/100
Once more Caleb felt jealous. It wasn"t because he wanted to be an archer or anything. It was because that was honest to goodness spatial magic, it might have to deal with that all other storage devices cost over 1,000,000 credits. The only good thing about this was that at least they knew that they would be able to buy storage devices eventually. Evriu informed them that the ability to buy storage devices would be lost to them after returning to their world, as would anything else that Asbalar's citizens couldn't create themselves. He explained it like so, once an Asbalarian could create a common rank storage rings all other Asbalarians could buy an inferior storage ring from a chaos crystal for a 10 times the price of the same ring bought during the Tutorial which was already 5 times the normal price in the multiverse.
"I plan on spending the next week to fully learn the Tier 1 runes. After that I plan to create at least the runic spells before using them to finish leveling up. I am hoping to get the arcanist class or a branch off of it." Caleb said after thinking for a couple minutes.
"It is fucking bullshit you can learn runes that fast. I can barely understand the one rune I am trying to learn for my arrows. Yet according to Evriu I am very talented in the art of runes. I wonder how the stuffy bastard would feel if he knew that you used the same time to learn 144 runes while I learned 1. HaHa" Jared said with both humor and a little annoyance. He still remember coming down this morning to brag to the group about learning a rune.
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
"It is very surprising that you managed to learn a rune in less than a couple of hours even if it was just a Tier 1 rune. This puts you as a genius of the human race as most humans need a couple of days to learn a single rune and geniuses can only learn 10-14 runes a day. The best human I have heard of learned 4-5 runes per hour at G-rank. Elves are naturally better at learning runes as to be a genius you need to be able to learn at least a hundred runes per day. Our best genius among the dark elves learned a hundred runes per hour at G-rank. Now obviously learning runes slows down as you advance in rank as you are then learning higher Tier runes which are far more profound." Evriu said to Jared. Evriu was somewhat shocked at finding out that Jared was a genius as he figured that Caleb would be the genius in runes from his extreme interest in runes and magic. When Evriu had said genius he meant it on a multiverse level. For a single C-rank planet to possess one human genius in the art of runes was surprising much less 2. Admittedly he didn't know how talented Caleb was with runes as Caleb refused to share hor many runes he had learned. It was just his instincts telling him not to look down on that kid.
"Thank you for your guidance Evriu."Jared said. After turning away he couldn't help but to grin, now he would be able to brag to his captain and the captain's godson. He could barely keep himself from running down the stairs to the restaurant they said they would meet at this morning before going over their plans for moving forward. Once he got there he saw the captain and Caleb already setting down and waiting for him. "Good morning to y'all." Jared said with a giant grin.
"Goodmorning, now what's got you so all fired happy?" Thomas asked.
"Well I just learned I am a genius at runes based on the whole multiverse for the human race." Jared answered his grin only growing bigger.
"Oh is that so? How many runes have you learned and what do you mean by for the human race? Caleb couldn't help but ask excitedly. He was hoping that Jared could help he improve his understanding of the runes, kind of like he used to bounce ideas off of Maddy to speed up his comprehension of facts and languages.
"I managed to learn one rune that helps with piercing power, the amazing thing was it only took me 1:45 hours to learn it. "Jared said with the same large grin. He was very happy with his progress as the rune was very complex. With just a casual look one would see see just the shape of the rune, but to understand it one had to immerse their mind into the rune. This was hard as a rune didn't have an easily set meaning. For example the rune that Jared had learned was called Aedirg, which had many things it could do. This rune increased penetration, soothed the mind, cleaned oil, burned things, and increased cold. The particular effect it would have would be based of of the material igt was used on and the will of the one who placed it. It could also gain a completely [my self]different use if paired with other runes. To say you learned a rune you have to know every meaning the rune can imbue in a spell or formation. Worse still you couldn't be told it or read it to know as the knowledge would just fade away if you didn't learn it from comprehending the profoundness of the rune. " And the reason I clarified that it was genius for humans was that certain races mind are designed to more easily understand and use runes, such as the dark elves who's number one genius since the dawn of time was able to learn 100 runes per hour while their average geniuses could learn 100 runes per day. The best human genius throughout time was able to learn between 4-5 runes per hour a G-rank. I also learned that each rank slows down at learning runes do to the massive increase in profoundness of each rune.
"Hahahaha" Thomas couldn't stop laughing, while Caleb just gave Jared a strange look. Finally Jared was forced to ask What was going on only to have his very beliefs shaken on what was possible.

----------------------------------------
"So are either of you planning to do a race change? and if so are you going to hold up your advancement to do it before F-rank or just wait for the E-rank to do so?" Caleb asked in curiosity. He had personally decided to do a race change but was undecided upon which race to choose. Either vampire for the speed and to help with blood magic since it was Caleb's only Supreme level affinity. Or Dark elf to help with runes and magic in general.
"I think I am going to stay human. I like the exp boost to much to give it up. " Jared said.
"I am planning to do a race change into a giant. The crafting bonus is to good plus it will help me be a stronger warrior. I also looked at a few of the cultivation techniques and there was one I really liked but it requires the giant race" Thomas answered after a moment of thought. "What about you Caleb?"
"I have yet to decide, I am leaning towards either the vampire or dark elf races. We already learned that vampires can go years without drinking blood as long as they have other food and that they can still drink blood to regen health mana and stamina. The only huge downsides to the race is the -5% exp and weakness to holy and light magic though thankfully life magic is ok. Dark elves are natural swordsmen and far more gifted in magic so they both have pros and cons." Caleb said. Both knew he had a supreme affinity for blood so it was obvious what the cons and pros were.
