Laughing at his own little joke about the Lich King, Death felt a presence appear behind him.

"Hello, Love what brings you here?" Death asked the person standing behind him.

"Is she really going to be your future wife?" Selene asks back avoiding his question.

"Now, now my dear you are the goddess of love so only you can answer that question." Death said looking back at her. Seeing the frown on her face and worried for his eldest child, Death quickly went into a tirade.

"What's going on? Did Light bully you again? That troublesome youngster, he better not be thinking of taking your godhood!" the rage in his voice barely quenched.

"It's not that." Selene said as tears were forming in her eyes.

"Then what is it abo- omph" Part way through his tirade Selene rushed him hugging him tight. Death realising why she was crying began patting her head. "Now, now I'm not going to be gone permantly Love."

"B-b-but you are t-t-the one who brought us together as a family how could you go." Selenes voice broke she held back the tears while trying to speak..

"Love, the Creator made his decision and like it or not all of creation literally bends to his will, so it is going to happen and that's it, and besides with me gone I will need you to step up and lead the Gods since you are the eldest sibling."

"I don't want to lead if it means you go." Selene cried clinging to him.

"Now enough of this." Death said putting steel into his voice. "The decision has been made and it is going to happen so stand tall and smile as you see me off okay?"

Raising her head to look at the being she called Father "okay...for you daddy."

"Thats my girl." Death smiled. Looking up as more presences appeared to surround the couple, Deaths smile grew wider.

"I seems all of my children are here to see me off." he laughed at the gathering.

"aye, Father" Spoke Stonehammer

"Indeed, male parental figure." agreed Eluvian

"What's a male parental figure?" asked Conan

"A longer way of saying father." Responded Lycranie

"Why not just say father then?" Asked Conan confused with the word play

"Because Eluvian didn't want to say the same thing as Stonehammer." Boomed Ganondorf

"That's stupid." Stonehammer said staring at Eluvian

"oh does the master craftsman wish to have a go?"Eluvian sarcastily spoke while returning daggers at Stonehammer

"ENOUGH!" Shouted Selene "Don't you all know this will be last time we can talk to Death before he leaves?!"

"Why would you want to talk to the decrepit fool is beyond me." Light said appearing last. "I'm just here to make sure he goes into the portal." After hearing those words the faces of each of the gods changed. Those who sided with him frowned at the lack of respect to Death while those who sided against showed complete disgust. Before Selene could go into an angry tirade likely to start a battle between gods Death intervened.

"Know your place Boy, I'm still the ruler here even if I become Mortal." Light sniffed and turned away.

"Excellent, everyone has arrived!" came a chipper voice from above. Looking up the gods noticed a man floating down with a speck of something on his shoulder. Once he reached the same level as the other gods the speck floated away a bit before speaking in that same chipper voice "this here is a nameless death god I retrieved from a world which has no more need of death, to take over Deaths responsibilties while he is mortal."

"Nice to meat you all." The Nameless God greeted as he bowed.

"HA, Meat! I like you already kid." Death said while staring at the newcomer "But we can't have you nameless so....."

Death was lost in thought for a few moments. "That's it! You shall be named Reaper: Guardian of Souls and Lord of Death".

"WHAT?!" Light cried "Why should he get the power over souls and death?"

"Indeed, giving your entire godhood is a bit of a stretch" the Creator agreed

"Well it was just going to sit around doing nothing while I'm gone and he was going to take on my responsibilites anyway may as well give him the whole package. And as for why him" Death turned to stare at Light "is because he unlike you is a proper death god so these things he's dealt with before, Just because you feel you won the vote doesn't mean my godhood is automatically yours."

Light stormed off not waiting to see if Death actually entered the portal. "Well now we know why he was really here." Said Lycranie.

"Good ridance." Selene happily smiled as Light left.

"Now he is still your brother so treat him nice." Death admonished the two girls. "and take care of your new sibling while I'm out." Here he guestured to Reaper.

"We will Father." All the gods agreed together.

"Okay opening the portal now." The Creator said. Right underneath the speck a red portal appeared leading to Crestia. "oh almost forgot, what is the last and only memory you wish to carry into your mortal world?" the Creator asked.

"My converation with the lich king." Death replied.

"Hmm that's going to be heavily restricted and most of the conversation will be lost, still want to go with it?" the Creator asked just to make sure.

"yep." Said Death

"Okay just step on through the portal and off on your adventure!"

And with that send off Death stepped through the Portal.
