Ability: Heal Type: Low Triggered Event: "Please live I beg of you!" Effect: Following the example of the Raidant Star, you could close a minor wound or even restore a dragons heart, provided you shine as bright as her power.

'Familiar’ Seraphine thought.
As soon as she saw the breathtaking sight of the Capital, she felt a sense of belonging in the place, as if a part of her soul, her blood, originated from here.
“Your awake now it seems.” Stevan teased at seeing her eyes open wide, not bothering to pretend being asleep anymore.
Seraphine could feel the sense of pride that the three exude for their city.
“Welcome to Sydney little girl.” The woman named Keren claimed as she brought her down from the princess carry and slightly smiled at her as she almost tripped by accident.
‘I felt insulted.’ She, who is many times older than them, is being treated like a child. Seraphine wanted to establish back the dominance she deserves.
“I’m over 300 years old.” She said in full sentences that made her proud considering her usual way of talking. Yet Keren slightly giggled at her claim while she heard the other girl mumbled “silly kid” under her breath.
“Maybe you can get there if you work hard to get stronger.” Keren suggested “How about you tell us your names? He was acting weird when I asked him about it. Are you sure that suspicious man did not kidnap you?”
She pointed at Stevan who is still admiring every building they walk across.
“Yes.” Technically, she is telling the truth. “I’m Seraphine. She is…a secret.” The girl hasn’t woken up until now and no one knew her yet. Saying her name is idiot is dry humor that gets old really fast.
They both doesn’t seem to mind and probably think that they would get to know more about them as ‘siblings’, but it might get tricky when they see her eyes. Fortunately, her horns is too short that it covers it with her messy hair or they would have been suspicious the moment they meet. Seraphine highly doubt that her masters lies would be believable enough either.
She really doesn’t understand why her master wanted to spare her. The girl has no uses and is nothing but a liability.
Well, as long as it doesn’t interfere with her goal of Killing Kaito, then she is fine with it.
Seraphine had a deep thought.
Now that she could think about it, why does she want to kill this Kaito? She could have done more meaningful things like finding her brother, remembering her past, or simply trying to appreciate the several chances she got at living again.
As she looked at Stevan, Seraphine is reminded at the question of the being residing within that undead body.
‘My dream….’
Her master, Verum, promised in helping her achieve her dream by becoming her student, yet she felt like she is making no progress, but progress on what? She herself doesn’t even know what a dream truly is, the only clue she had was that it was worth dying for, something worth living for.
Was it worth it to put her entire purpose into killing one man? And what if she succeeds? What then?
Maybe it wasn’t her dream after all, but is merely a goal.
Then what should she do? How can she forge a path and go on a journey without a destination?
As Seraphines mind was raising philosophical questions too deep for her mental age, she eventually decided to put it aside for now.
‘Il figure it out later.’
She just needed to take her time, and experience life as much as she could.
Stevan noticed her gaze and smiled.
Seraphine smiled back.
‘Getting to know people would be a good step.’

“We are here.” Marie announced.
Keren looked at the location of the building she is talking about.
It is a house shaped like the Cathedral, where the Star symbol hanged in the top of the double doors. It was made out of stone, most likely by an ability, and overall it is like a dome at the top with a large round ball at the tip, to which she assumed must light up and do something alchemy related.
Conveniently, it is also close to the adventurers guild.
“By the way, before I leave, can you at least tell me what jobs have you been taking?” Marie questioned.
Being a slave trader is not illegal, but there are manny that despise the profession. So Keren and Stevan often hide their identities when on the job.
“You know, adventurer stuff.” She answered.
Keren wasn’t particularly lying. They are still adventurers, it just so happens that they do the more unpleasant ones that nobody would take in public.
“You know what, fine, I just heard rumors of a beast folk village getting discovered and apparently, someone may have seen you join the raid.”
“You and your gossip.” She denied waving her hands away to shoo, “Just leave and help your fellow priests, weren’t they flooded with work?”
Marie raised her eyebrows, “Let’s talk more in the future.”
She then simply nodded at Stevans direction who is silently teaching his alleged daughter some facts about this world.
Marie walked behind 10 meters away from them and the surroundings, took a stance, tucked her palms into a fist, and smashed the air with a straight punch.
Keren watched in fascination as space seemed to have shattered into countless pieces, creating a portal in the shape of a broken glass.
She waited for a moment, took one last look at them, and entered. The portal closed soon after as if it was repairing itself on reverse.
Stolen story; please report.
‘Someday, I’ll be able to do that too…’ Keren thought.
It was not an ability, but brute strength concentrated to a point it breaks the fabric of space. The so called 6th realm or Star Perfection realm. The highest level of strength she knew was humanly possible, at least for their race.
She sighed and looked at the pair who was looking in the same direction as her and had a quick laugh from their amazed faces.
‘Maybe they are related after all.’
---------
Name: Stevan Rank: Core Perfection(5/9)
‘I got stronger…’ Stevan thought.
That was an understatement, he not only skipped ranks, he literally jumped in realms!
Too bad he still hasn’t developed another ability, but his raw stats alone would be enough to destroy anyone below his realm!
‘Your welcome.’ A voice in his head said.
Stevan immediately showed gratitude towards the voice, or rather, Verum for giving him such a gift.
[Deaths desire] is a convenient ability that made his Lords undead jump an entire realm in exchange for never being able to improve again. Not only that, but one of his Lord abilities was able to bypass the bad effect so he could actually still improve, albeit slower than when he was alive.
At least according to him.
Stevan, who was holding a large glowing ball let go, causing it to fade back into a glass crystal that stood on a white pedestal.
“The [Beacon] has accepted your offer.” The old priest nodded.
Stevan immediately felt weaker. He could definitely tell his Rank is still at Core Perfection, but he is 1 Rank lower now than a few seconds ago.
The [Beacon] is an item that only accepts ranks for compensation in contacting a high ranking priest member like Marie through a specific alchemy circuit they teach to a select few. He and Keren are one of them, mostly because they are friends with the High priest herself.
Stevan had no choice but to activate it or Keren might just attempt to do so. He doesn’t want her to sacrifice a rank to avoid his fellow undead that attacked them, and its mainly his fault he forgot.
“Wh-when did you get more powerful than me?” Keren exclaimed with a widely open mouth.
Unlike a regular system circuit, the [Beacon] shows your information to everyone. Fortunately, the information itself is limited by how much the user wants to reveal and made it possible for him to hide his undead race.
“I was going to surprise you” He convinced her, “In truth, I have always been 1 realm higher than what I claimed.”
“Why?”
“Its….”
Many parts of his memories are blurry, as if it was selectively done on purpose. All he knows is that he wasn’t undead before and chose to be one to serve his lord to the fullest.
“Because I know you will be upset and do more dangerous stunts to surpass me.” He excused.
Keren frowned, then simply shrugged and walked back outside, “I’m not that petty.”
Stevan smiled, he then looked at the silent girl that is looking at all the shiny objects around the church.
Stevan never knew he would become a father so fast out of nowhere, yet he felt like it was always meant to be.
Since the offer was already paid. He could do whatever they want.
Technically, he has some unfinished business regarding the slaves they were transporting, but he doesn’t want to deal with that now.
Seraphine, who was stone faced while sitting on a bright red couch, tilted her head when he spoke.
“Want to go see the adventurers guild?”
----------
‘Weird’ was the only explanation Seraphine thought of seeing the guild.
Besides looking like a bigger, fancier house than its surroundings, the materials it was made of seemed to be special.
Furthermore, she was expecting the adventurers themselves to be practical, dark, and monotone with some semblance of professionalism, yet they actually came with different size, shape, colors, and even races!
As she was admiring the entrance of the place, she noticed a beautiful adult woman with pointy ears walk out of the guild, she came with a massive sword on her back that looked so comical when compared to her small frame, blue long sleeved shirt, and baggy brown pants that definitely offer no protection.
This was not the adventurers she had in mind.
“Discover yourself and the Unknown.” Stevan quoted, “That is the motto of the guild. Don’t underestimate us though, we’re stronger than the average people.”
“Elf?” Seraphine pointed to the one she noticed. Stevan described to her what the other races looked like in general while walking here and said they are enemies along with the beastfolk.
“Hmm? Oh yes, adventurers aren’t allowed to participate in war. Many of us are extremely powerful, so the guild must stay neutral in politics. If you antagonize the guild however,” he paused “you might find yourself banned and possibly face some harsh consequences from your kingdom. That goes to adventurers themselves as well of course.”
Seraphine finds it nice that he loved explaining things to his ‘daughters’ and made it easy for her learn things without asking.
It wasn’t really busy now, most of them probably went to the Cathedral, so Seraphine was able to wander inside without the need for supervision.
She saw what appeared to be a board with many alchemical circuits written on it. Most of the time they were in the shape of ugly circles, but she found that some are triangle, squares, or even bird shaped with no open gaps.
She touched one of them out of curiosity and tried to manipulate her energy.
Ever since her master helped her use the system circuit, she is able to feel and use her energy, but only if she puts in a lot of effort. It is much more different than casting [soul well] which only required her to physically grab the leaking energy from a corpse, shove it in herself, and simply use it if needed.
Seraphine concentrated, feeling that weird chill around her body, and contracted it to her arm touching the circuit.
Quest: Kill the annoying boar Type: Hunt Status: Taken: Bluebird Prty Date Posted: 2 weeks ago Difficulty: Core Formation Reward: Boar meat, 8 iron coins Description: The boar is back again. I have specifically hired 28 parties and none you somehow permanently managed to take care of the damn thing. You all claimed it was dead, yet it’s back the next week. This is already the 29th time. Any who actually managed to kill it for real will also receive a magic sword. Our crops has already suffered again this month and I hope your party will be competent enough to do it.
Seraphines imagination ran wild at the though of an immortal boar that won’t stop invading a village for its crops, and the adventurers themselves are caught in the crossfire. She bet that the creature itself learned many tactics that made it harder for the next group to hunt.
“Bluebird party eh, must be new to even attempt the quest.” Stevan blurted out as he also inserted his energy to it. It seems she has a lot to learn about alchemy.
“Tried it once. It was not worth it.” He explained, like an old man telling campfire stories, “I think we were the 3rd party to try. Damn thing was already smart in the beginning and is an annoying little- ahem, anyways, we were sure it’s dead, even Keren chopped it into pieces to have as supper, yet the next month we found that it’s back as good as new. At first we thought it was a different boar, then the other party that took it said same exact description of what we fought. I heard a Star formation wasn’t even able to do anything. The reward wasn’t much either, the only thing worth having is the magic sword, but killing it for real was the main problem anyways. Now, it’s just a rookie quest meant to Kick-start a party with no financial support.”
Seraphine looked at all the other quests, and found that they all have nothing in common, everything is so varied that she was surprised to find some quest requiring at least 2 Star Perfection realms.
‘The world is much bigger than I thought.’
After a while of exploring, Keren had to intervene.
“Alright, enough looking, the feisty receptionist is staring in our direction for a while now, Stevan, you could handle the incident and I’ll bring these girls to your inn.”
“I’ll see you in a bit.” Stevan said as he turns around to wave his hand to the receptionist.
Seraphine was fine with the current developments, she still needed to deal with the other girl after all.
Although she was stabbed by her, her master told her to keep her alive. Not only that, but when she was about to chop one of the slaves head, the woman beastfolk asked her to tell her daughter to be safe.
Seraphine could tell the resemblance of the sleeping girl and that woman. She didn’t really made a promise, yet when she asked her master last night, he simply replied with “Keeping her safe is your decision to make, Seraphine, but untill I say so, killing the girl is off limits.”
She really doesn’t understand that. Why is a mere strangers last desire more important than her time and the pain she had to endure?
As soon as she gets permission , she is going to kill her for that stab. Untill then, she had to figure out her so called dream. Experiencing what its like to be a sibling would be a good step on that progress.
She just hopes that her first impression yesterday wasn’t too bad.
