‘So the king lost huh.’ Marie thought as she saw Ramposa Grim stand side by side with Krieg.
They were supposed to be of equal strength, but seeing how the king itself is severely injured while Krieg is barely scratched, she could only assume he is stronger than her now.
‘Doesn’t matter.’ She confidently thought. Even if he is realm higher than her, the way he formed his domain would make him just slightly tougher than herself. Defeating him is just a matter of experience.
She noticed that a large portion of the people broke out from his control due to her own domain interfering it, ‘I better not let any distractions linger.’
“Stay inside the barrier.” Marie claimed, aimed at Keren and everyone still outside, “Things will be a little bright around here.”
Just as she said that, the king disappeared from view.
Marie managed to detect him through [Light vision], blocking his sword with the staff, inches from her neck The two weapons would have normally rang loudly if it were a normal battle, but the scale of their perception already prompted then to act before a sound even occurred.
She produced several orbs of light, burning as intensely as if it were the sun.
[Small spark]
The orbs, which was originally the size of her head, started to expand rapidly, engulfing her and the king. Even some of the adventurers were still outside nearly died, barely making it in the barrier.
When the orbs disappeared, what remained is an unscathed Marie and a king who stood right next to Kreig again. His skin steaming and emitting a peculiar smell of burnt bread.
King Ramposa then launched another attack, this time with the distractions from the other monsters.
Marie retaliated, producing more [Small Sparks] to engulf the horde.
The monsters weren’t a problem for her, but the fact that they could break the barrier if it was hit enough times is not a good thing. She herself can’t afford to expose the people to temperatures that easily evaporate oceans.
She leaped back, dodging a swift slice that momentarily split reality into two before the space restored itself in an instant. She noted that it’s much like how she creates portals, except the slash was the after effect of the main attack.
‘I need to incinerate Krieg, but where is he?’
She did not notice it before, but her enemy disappeared from her sights, or rather, blended in with his army of monsters. Even Marie herself can’t accurately detect him with such a concentrated mass of moving flesh.
“Don’t think you can hide”, she said and casted a dozen [Small Spark] that traveled away from her and into the parts where the army was densest.
As she was creating more, another hundreds of reality cutting slashes came from every direction, surrounding her like a rat on a cage.
She simply poured energy at her staff, activating it’s enchantment that contained [Safe Regards], surrounding herself with hundreds of orange translucent pentagons arranged in a circle, blocking each attack.
She casted more [Small spark], this time aimed at the direction of the king who just reappeared.
The agile enemy fluidly dodged each orb, disappearing and appearing again at a much closer distance.
This time, it chose to thrust with the sword, easily cutting through the [Safe Regards] and almost impaling her. The blade barely reaching her neck but stopped to try avoiding the large mass of light orbs surrounding him.
During his dodges, Marie had more than enough time to anticipate his newest attack and also surrounded both of them with a few dozen [Small spark], hidden within the bright explosions.
The king tried to retreat, but his one remaining hand was stuck in the shield. Requiring him a split second to crack and break free.
More than enough time to detonate her ability.
Like a hyper nova, another shower of blinding fireworks littered the battlefield, creating hundreds of massive craters of molten rock.
When the light settled, Marie was standing alone on the largest crater, like a Goddess of destruction, she looked down at her victim. The King, who was at the centre of the explosion, was laying down, facing the high priest. Possibly unconscious.
Suddenly, he opened his eyes and swung his sword.
Marie managed to block it once again with her staff and kick the king to the craters edge.
The king flew and crashed with a loud boom, yet he did not talk. Still obeying the hidden nobles commands.
Marie looked up and saw the endless horde slide down to face her, with Krieg still missing. Her destruction was just a mere drop in the savage ocean.
Marie sighed.
She could already tell that this would be a long day.
-----------
‘Why the hell can’t I control her?’ Kreig thought.
Rather, why isn’t she affected by his domain at all? She should have felt his hundreds for mental bombardment, yet she wasn’t flinching. Moreover, how did so many of the adventurers were able to break free? It should have been impossible!
Unless…..
He frowned, “She’s my Natural enemy.”
Marie’s domain must have something to do with intelligence or will!
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
In truth, he had not truly met the requirements to be considered to be beyond Star perfection, but to be able to resist someone a realm higher than her required the domain to fulfill a very harsh or risky condition. But what could it be?
Another several orb of lights was detonated, reaping the lives of his monsters.
“Tch, doesn’t matter, I’m still stronger than you. [Outbreak].”
Suddenly, all creatures in the horde, including the king, reacted to his word. Instead of the savage attacks or the deadpan expressions, they all now produced a unified anger, aimed at one person. Their strength became more ferocious, there resilience now Fueled with rage.
For the first time in this fight, Marie finally sustained an injury.
As she was casting more [Small spark]. The king, with the newfound rage, swiftly leaped at her, exceeding the speed of light. Marie barely saw the king before her stomach was already in the process of getting split in two.
Unfortunately for Krieg. She stopped the sword from cutting all the way by blocking it with her staff.
“[Light sword]!” She shouted, quickly forming a rod of light in the shape of a sword to swing at the king, who quickly retreated after Krieg commanded him to.
Krieg smiled as quickly as he frowned. When he saw her blood falling nonstop, he expected to have won, but she suddenly touched the part of her stomach and casted [heal].
Of course, he wouldn’t just wait by for her to be in full shape again. He commanded the king to launch another attack.
This time, Marie managed to parry each hit with the sword while she dropped the staff to heal her wound.
As he witness how visibly fast it closes, Kreig could already that this will be a long day.
----------
Marie never expected the basta- the annoying king to exceed the speed of light, which made her [Light vision] useless. Now she had no choice but to use [Light sword] and defend with herself as she heals.
“Basta-annoying guy, try that stunt again and I will show you what I could really do.” She threatened.
As a Star Perfection, she possesses 7 abilites, one innate and 6 more for each realm. She had [image of evolution], [heal], [Light sword], [Light Vision], [small spark], [Glory before the end], and her trump card. She also has [Safe Regards], but that is technically an enchantment of the staff that she dropped just now.
“So what? You had one ability you haven’t revealed, how is that going to change a thing? In fact In case you didn’t notice, I only showed you two things of what I can do.” Kreig commented on her head.
‘That’s what you think.’ Marie smirked, ‘I bet you’ve never seen a high class ability before.’
Unlike low class, which are only useful at certain realms, or mid class, which would only be decent at every realm, high class abilities posses the capability to be a trump card, to potentially win any fight no matter what realm you are at. Even if you become a God, high class abilities would remain as valuable as you first acquired it.
Still, to activate her ability, she needed to touch the king for three seconds.
And it’s not looking good right now.
----------
“Absurd.” Fate described.
She wasn’t really counting, but she is sure the battle only started 30 seconds ago. Yet the way they moved indicated that their perception must have processed it as hours or days.
Even Seraphine gave up watching after getting bombarded with hundreds of bright lights every second.
‘How did they get so strong?’ She bafflingly wondered.
How did she end up from being a potential slave to a witness of a reality bending battle? What went wrong with her decisions?
Just like a few days ago, she ended up being helpless once again. Her life depended on someone else’s choices, her future being controlled by someone else.
“I hate this.” She mumbled.
Yet there is nothing she could do.
She looked to her right.
There, she is staring straight at the face of her supposed “sister”, who was looking at the corpses of the monsters outside, rapidly disintegrating every second a blinding light appears.
Killing her was the goal, her life purpose. Yet it felt a little hollow at seeing such a sight.
She would still commit to it, but she doesn’t want her life to conclude that way. She doesn’t want her peak to be killing a little girl.
Even if she does, what about the future? Aunt Keren mentioned her lifespans Increases as she grows more powerful. That also means she would meet new people to hate, and more people to cherish. Would she want their lives to be dependent on circumstance? For their possible future to be the same as her mother?
No, she wanted more. She doesn’t want another loved one to be taken away. Nor does she want her life hang on to other people’s choices.
Even if it means that their life would be decided by her own decisions instead.
Suddenly, she felt something change inside of her. It was small, but it exist, as if her soul had placed a piece of itself in the right place of a jigsaw puzzle.
She did not know what happened, but she has no way to find out now.
----------
While the intense battle is continuing to influence the kingdom. An Elven prince walked into the silent residence of their princess.
His entrance wasn’t grand like activating his Domain, but it definitely isn’t sneaky either. He is simply walking at the open field.
Which made Jin confused when nobody came to greet nor challenge him. ‘Did all the guards really came to fight that undead? Leaving the princess all alone in the castle?’
Jin doesn’t know it, but due to the gap in strength between royalty and regular people. The castle never keeps any soldiers inside and instead efficiently use them to patrol or save money on resources by not getting any at all.
Moreover, the princess herself is busy. Exploring the reaches of The Dungeon.
After zipping around several times in the castle, looking for any clues or hidden rooms. The only thing he can confirm is that the Dungeon does have a natural entrance here, provided he found one on a room with hidden under the throne.
He clicked his tongue, “What a waste of time, guess I’ll just hope that girl earlier survives. I can’t really intervene or I’ll mess with their growth, Chaos loved tragedy after all.”

“Woah, this world must be weak.” Verum spoke out loud as his millennia of experience failed to understand why Kreig hasn’t died yet.
“How strong is your world Lord Verum?” Stevan asked as he felt helpless at the amount of deadly attacks being unleashed in seconds. He could only stare in pain, trying to come up with any idea of helping her.
The fact is, The Capital is only a quarter of the way destroyed because both combatants concentrate their energy so much that even Marie’s [Small Spark] is merely melting the ground on a small radius, rapidly declining in heat each meter away.
Stevan guessed that the difference of temperature between each inch you get closer to an orb is exponential, or at least 100 times worse.
“I have a High World for one.” Verum boasted, then added. “For reference, imagine a neutron star having a neutron star equivalent. That’s how dense an average planet is.”
Stevan could already tell he won’t get was his Lord is saying. “Neutron star? What’s that? Is it like the difference between a marshmallow and a rock?”
“Yes and no.” He clarified, “Its more like if your planet is air, then a mid world would be a rock, and mine would be Adamantite.”
“I…..still don’t get it.”
“You will in the future. Besides, its never about physical strength anyways. I’ve already toppled a lot of brutes that relied on their realms alone.”
Stevan nodded and continued watching the fight.
After a while, he asks, “Can we help?”
“Which one? Both are allies anyway.” He sarcastically stated.
Stevan remained silent. He then thought of the fact that his Lord would actually consider Marie as the likelier enemy instead. Even if he hated Kreig, at the end of the day, all three are undead and naturally value each other more than any living creatures.
“I’m just joking.” Verum chuckled, his deep voice still sounding so ominous, “Of course I know you meant to help your friend, unfortunately, saving her is equivalent to stopping her future. Always remember that our experiences define our abilites, Stevan, and getting their problems solved so easily is not a good thing for both her and I, even if done in secret.”
Stevan looked at the battlefield again, at the struggling Maire that kept getting more injuries that she can’t keep up with her [Heal].
“Why does her growth matter if she is going to die anyway? Is there really no method to help?”
His Lord remained silent for a moment, then uttered a few words.
“There is technically a way.”
Stevan whirled his head quickly, then remembering his Lord wasn’t anywhere but his head.
“Really Lord Verum?!” He asked in ecstacy.
“…..Yes” Verum hesitated, “But you might- no, you will die.”
Stevan smiled, “Then I’m willing to die a second time."
