Chapter 6- Sakura's Flash back-

Where did this Dungeon Core Come From?

Many years ago a Vulpine animal was created by a dungeon core. For uncountable days the vulpine animal learned how to serve the core. It learned that it was not like other animals but it had a core in itself given from the dungeon it served. It hunted many creatures and defended the dungeon. Sometimes it protected the dungeon with other created by the dungeon.

One day this vulpine was instructed to exit home and search outside for other things to bring home. In time it brought home dead creatures. Sometimes it was chased home by bigger nasty creatures that the Great Dungeon captured or killed.

Until one fateful day it had gone out far again ranging for game and other things the Dungeon treated as treasures, when there was a sudden call for help. Something happened at home and the Dungeon core was in trouble. There was a distant call that was urgent and to come home to help defend the Dungeon. So very quickly the vulpine tried to run home as fast as possible.

But before the vulpine could get home the link was cut and the vulpine knew the Dungeon was gone. In the end it left an empty feeling. So for some days the vulpine roamed far from there hoping to avoid the same. Eventually the vulpine found a small rodent den and it got in and killed the rodents. After a while it continued to dig out the hole to make something deeper then the burro, before it lay down. The vulpine body had fallen apart and the red core emerged. The vulpine had new abilities and could feel everything around it instead of looking through eyes. But it no longer had a body and could not leave the area that it now has a strong connection too.

The once vulpine now dungeon core expanded and ate and built for days and season upon season. After expanding enough the dungeon core found a nearby goblin cave. Yet things didn’t go well and it was a war for many days between the core and goblins. Goblins had many traps and the dungeon core lost lots of monsters to traps. But the goblins couldn’t invade too deep in dungeon cave and were killed by the creatures the dungeon spawned. Then goblin corpses were raised as skeletons and used again as fodder against the traps. In the end the core survived and won the war.

The new dungeon trapped a small group of dwarfs and got victory over their expedition. The dungeon learned off the dwarven tools and metals to make itself better just it did with the goblins. Then expanded further and created more creatures over 2 floors and more than a dozen rooms.

In later years the dungeon created more than 3 floors with 40 rooms, and a fourth floor as a core room. A large number of trees lower on the slope were devoured and a number of explorers fell at the hands of the dungeon before it was truly discovered. Once the location was discovered multiple invasions were then taken against the dungeon until it faced certain death.

-Back To Present -

As the dungeon core hissed and mana started to fill the room a presence appeared outside the dungeon. At an incredible speed the spirit swished from room to room and was able to descend the floors at an amazing pace. It is powerful and analyzing it yields no good results. Is it something like the ancient tree spirits with the elfs? Or is it what the invaders call a god? If only the dungeon core could understand the spirit. Maybe it could be eaten and supply enough mana or energy to hold out. But how exactly are core cracks healed?
