Chapter 14 – Grave Results, don't play with an electrical outlet
Digging deep she could feel her core and it was nearly damaged. Some of the material that John created to hold her core together was damaged and torn off. But running her fingers over the core she could feel there were no chips or cracks that were left.
Shocked and excited Sakura realized it’s been healed to a degree. That’s wonderful news. Her ears were still ringing and little by little her sense of balance was recovering and her eye sight was coming back. Sakura notes to herself just how fragile humanoid forms really are.
“Mistress hey, good news…” Sakura was eager to share the miracle with John as she sat up and tried to turn around. While struggling to turn about she was smiling until she could see John.
John laid on the ground with burned hands, hair standing out in all directions, feather tips darkened on the ends, and a big bloody stain in the cloths. Johns big blood stain had meaty tissue sticking out and red viscous blood continued to run down over the ribs, abs, and rolled off to the side on the ground.
Sakura was stunned and froze in place momentarily. She started to reach forward with a chard stump. Yet if her body could freeze solid she felt like it would. She had trouble making any movement.
“Mistress, Mistress…. Mistress…. Hey..” Sakura called with ever increasing fear.
Sakura dug into her energy and mana reserves and frantically started to churn it and use it. Her energy reserves were nearly restored and a large part of the bolts were converted into mana. Easily she was able to recover her lost limbs and she sent out vein tendrils into John’s body. She tried to reach into John and it was a far more natural and perfect body than what Sakura is accustomed to making. Pushing Sakura’s consciousness into John she could only feel pain, regret, shock, and fear. She reached in to Johns mind and could only get a minor sense of repentance before Johns consciousness sank into darkness. She tried to pull John’s essence from the body but it was like pulling a single rock from the inside of an entire mountain. She couldn’t pull John from the body. Then John lost all consciousness.

Fear gripped Sakura’s mind and she worked as fast as she could. The veins and tendrils undulate into the wound in Johns chest. Meat and flesh wiggled about while the veins extracted chunks of the buffer orb. Blood continued to ooze out over every movement and heart beat. Sakura continued to make changes in the best way she could. She tried to bring parts together that should belong together and tie it together. Veins that might have belonged together she tried to pull it together. Bones that were broken were threaded together with red veins and she tried to tie it together.
Every few seconds felt like minutes, and minutes felt like hours to Sakura. None of her servants could speak to Sakura. They could feel how upset Sakura was and none of them really knew what to do.
Sakura kept her red vein tendrils embedded inside John’s body as she observed the living conditions. And minuscule changes appeared to be taking place. Sakura’s repairs were being used by the body to make rapid healing take place. While Sakura’s repairs were sloppy compared to a well able surgeon, it seems to have been enough. She has toyed with humans before and healing like this does not take place naturally. She was able to observe bones mending together, muscles blending back to original forms. Johns veins and arteries also seemed to reach for one another and tighten up like it was only natural. Meanwhile all the tendrils that Sakura used to make the repairs seemingly blended into the bones, or became the muscles, and tendrils that came loose had transmuted into blood and other aspects that were depleted from John’s body.
Sakura repaired her own body while watching over John’s recovery. She also examined the bits of buffer orb that could be salvaged and pulled from the wounds. Even if the buffer orb was reduced to chunks the chunks were stuffed with energy, but there was no intelligence left in it. The orb was like a dead servant. For a change she actually felt regret and sad for having created something that was only to die in a short time and for little actual gain. At least this is what she felt. Usually she was upset when servants died but it was like a child losing a toy. Or she felt less than someone losing a pet. But now even if this servant didn’t live any longer than hours she felt like she gave life to and a fatal job to someone. And its death was her fault. She lost something. Was it a loss of a child? No, not a child. Was it a loss of family? No. But she feels a loss of something more than a pet. The buffer orb was important and yet she feels loss. She started to reflect on her remaining servants and was very grateful they were still there. For a time she shared gratitude to them, concern, and a degree of family. All three servants gathered around Sakura and tried to comfort her while she waited for John to recover.
