Ch 2 Splitting Headache
“According to the data I’m pulling from the general internet, it is currently November 8th, 2022 and we are located In the Wharton State forest. May I recommend something Commander?” Kumo asked “Go ahead” “Before we plan anything, we should take stock of our current state of affairs. You should use everything the system has given you.” “Good idea.” As I look at my system Inventory, I decide skills should go first. ‘System, use all skill raffles’
System rolling 5x skill raffles… Congratulations! You gain the following.
* Intrigue I (Rare Skill)- Skill improves and grants the knowledge and abilities in acts pertaining to Spycraft, Avoiding authorities, and Illicit dealings
* Robotics Engineering I (Rare Skill)- Skill improves and grants the general knowledge and abilities in the design, manufacturing and modification of robotic entities
* Firearm Engineering I (Uncommon Skill)- Skill improves and grants the general knowledge and abilities in the design, manufacturing and modification of firearms
* Business Administration I (Common Skill)- Skill improves and grants the general knowledge and abilities in the creation and management of businesses
* A.I. Creation (Epic Skill)- Skill improves and grants the general knowledge and abilities in the programming, troubleshooting and upgrading of A.I. Systems
Would user like to integrate the above skills?
Although I feel some suspicions about the system's warnings, I proceed. As soon as I mentally agree I am assaulted by the most painful experience I can assume any human can feel. If the system’s introduction information produced a throbbing headache that brought me to my knees, this is much, much worse. It felt as if my brain was submerged in Sulfuric acid and left to cook. I felt like if this happened to someone without the system, they would most certainly die. I wanted to pass out, to gain a reprieve from the pain, but the system was forcing me to stay conscious and absorb all the information it gave. After what felt like years, it abated and the system was done. I promptly passed out in the chair I was thankfully sitting in…
Coming to, I awoke to a severe migraine. “Is it possible to dim the lights?” They dimmed to a soft glow, enough to see what you were doing, but dark enough that my head no longer felt like it was burning quite as hot. “Thank you” “You’re welcome” I sit there holding my head for a few moments and then look at the system to see what was left. I decide to err on the side of caution. ‘System, use one robotics blueprint raffle’
System rolling 1x Robotics Blueprint raffle… Congratulations! You gained the following.
* Dum series Pit Droid
* BONUS! Material for 20x Dum series Pit Droid
Would user like to integrate the above blueprints?

Cautiously I allow the process. This was quite a different experience. If instigating all this skills was hell, this was, well, rather pleasant. This was more like a gentle flow. I’m unsure if this is due to the difference between blueprints and skills, or a mater of quality and quantity.
I frown, not because of the process but because of the blueprint. Although quite the compact little droid, the Dum as I’ll call them aren’t well thought out. Although their skeletal frame allows you to save material and space, and their collapsibility is quite ingenious, it results in a rather flimsy form. And Their A.I. core is, well, lacking. Their ability to adapt to different environments and situations is extremely poor. Don’t get me wrong, if you ask them to strip a car you have given them the instructions for, they can get it done faster then any human could if you had the same amount of droids as humans. But give them a model they are unfamiliar with and they flounder about unsure of how to go about it. I could probably modify their frames to be sturdier and A.I. to problem solve more efficiently. Maybe I could throw in a few tricks… I’m getting side tracked.
Now more reassured of the process I proceed. ‘System use one Robotics Blueprint raffle and two Weapons Blueprint raffles’
System rolling 1x Robotics Blueprint raffle and 2x Weapons Blueprint raffle … Congratulations! You gained the following.
* Scout Multipurpose Attack Robot
* M6D Magnum Sidearm
* BONUS! Material for 20x M6Ds and 1500x 12.7 x 40mm High Explosive bullets
* 10 In Vibroblade
* BONUS! Material for 20x Vibroblade
No pain this time still, but the flow is less comfortable and feels… faster. Still I smile as I know how lucky I am. The Scout is a well designed robot, with fairly complex programming. Not on the levels of an A.I. of course. It Identifies ally’s with an IFF tag and could be used for swat raids or general purpose military use. It is used in conjunction with a superior giving orders via tablet that can also give a visual or though verbal or non verbal hand gestures.
The M6D is frankly… overkill. It is semi-automatic and holds 12 High Explosive 12.7x40mm nickel plated rounds. So long as you hit something you would no longer need to worry about it. It has an effective range of about 125 meters and is fairly accurate to that range. The only problems are it’s size and weight and how exotic the ammunition is, due to the fact that only I have the blueprints for it.
The Vibroblade is a relatively novel but extraordinary device. By vibrating a durable blade at a specific high frequency you can multiply its cutting power. The frequency is based on length and durability of the blade. This allows the blade to cut through most material like a hot knife through butter. Only materials like solid steel can hold it.
‘System open Bulk Equipment raffle and three Robotic unit raffles’
System rolling 1x Bulk Equipment raffle and 3x Robotic Unit raffles … Congratulations! You gained the following.
* 20x sets of XOF Infantry outfits, 20x AM MRS-4 Rifles, 10k rounds of 5.56x45mm
* 1x T-900 Infiltrator
* 1x HK-51 Assassin Droid
* 1x Tachikoma CV-01*, 10k rounds of 7.62x51mm
User need not worry about programming or any inherent issues. Any malicious programming has been purged and loyalty matrixes have been calibrated. Would you like to materialize Units?
Author’s note
*In some literature some details are not fully ironed out. In this case it would be Tachikomas. In ‘Ghost In a Shell’ it is shown that there are multiple different variations of the Tachikoma yet they are all referenced as just a Tachikoma. This may happen in some other cases in which I will put an asterisk and a short explanation in the Author’s note’s
