I was os lost myself in my own thoughts that I very soon dozed off.
A familiar voice pulled me from my slumber. When my eyes reopened I saw a young maid softly calling me. Before me stood a girl with fairy like beauty. Though older her frame was very petite making her seem younger than she was. Her short stature gave a lot of prominence to her curves with milky white skin that felt like silk to the touch. She had perky breasts and a rear that were bothe a delectable handful. Her very attractive but approachable face large bright azure eyes combined her sky blue could enthrall any man. Sadly those eyes had very little life in them causing them to lose quite a bit of the luster and even more regrettable was the fact that I was the cause.
‘First young master is calling you.’
Her voice lacked emotion, like she could not be more monotone if she tried. What made me want to kill myself was the fact I, the guy before, preferred her this way.
Desperately holding back a sigh, I tried to put on a smile. For a moment I could see a shocked expression but she immediately went back to her melancholy look.
(Don’t worry, I swear on my sister’s name that I will rectify all the wrong the previous owner has done to you and make amends.)
‘Yes, tell him I will be right there.’
‘Young master, I also need to inform you that he called you to the library.’
(Library? Is that not where our uncle likes to spend most of his time. I wonder what is going on.)
Whilst thinking so I absentmindedly made my way to the library. The whole way was an adventure cause everything felt so familiar and yet so foreign. The artistic features made the hallways so majestic that it blinded me. The original guy might have taken it for granted but everything was so dazzling to me.
I was smiling and my eyes were sparkling with glee. This expression on my face was so rare that every servant that came across me looked twice to make sure the person was me. I could even hear some murmurs among them which I am sure is about me.
(Get used to this everyone for now I am changed man, literally. Also please stop staring at me like that I am not used to being the center of attention.)
I gave a plea I never voiced out as I arrived in front of our library. My uncle lived with us and loved to collect books and so we had quite a grand library. None of us siblings liked to study at all but the rest of them could get away because every single one of them were geniuses.
The current me had no problem with studying in fact I welcomed it. I used to be a college student and in our culture we had to make wanting a second nature. I was actually pretty good but both my parents were P.H.D holding super nerds so unless my scores were the best in the school I would be scolded. Here I could study at my own leisure and reading was something I actually enjoyed.
As I entered the first thing I noticed was that my father was also there with my brother and uncle. My heart immediately sunk because according to memory all of the males of our family only gathered when they needed to reprimand me or they were about to make a life changing decision for me.

(No wonder that girl had said my brother had called. I or the previous owner of this body anyway would never had come here if I/he knew all of them were gathered here even after knowing that it would not help.)
Nothing I can do about it now so I grit my teeth and timidly went towards them.
‘Son, do you know why I have called you here?’
(FUCK!!! That man never called me son before. This is something really major. I hope it is not because of the previous guy molesting that princess that one time or I might have get ready to face the wrath of that kingdom)
As my heart stopped in apprehension I nervously shook my head. My brother sneered and had malicious grin as he looked at my nervous form. My uncle seemed to be indifferent to it all and continued to read his book.
‘Recently it has been brought to my attention that our house cannot properly control you, so to make sure you grow up properly I will be sending you to the Sky Helmet Academy.’
I sighed with resignation and relief. Sky Helmet was a well-known name in this house it was like the ultimate punishment for any of us. It was an academy run by the five great guilds were students were trained to become guild members. What my dad did was essentially disown me.
8 people were sent to this academy throughout its history only 2 managed to gain enough merit to reestablish the relations to this family.
‘Yeah….. I never fit in this family to begin with so I guess it was only a matter of time before this happened.’
My father looked at me. A flabbergasted expression could be seen on his face.
‘Uh… it is good that you understand. Don’t worry I will transfer a sizable sum into your bank and will grant you two servants to aid you in your travels. Also you will always be able to return home if you gain enough.’
(Wow! This is the first time I have seen this guy trying to console me or talk to me in this way. To think a change in attitude could bring about something like this.)
The expressions of the others were not any different and this actually made me want to do a victory pose. Since I was not really attached to this family’s fame and fortune it did not bother too much even with my new memories. This was because for better or for worse I did not inherit any of that guy’s personality traits so thing like this now had little influence on me.
‘You can go now, you will be leaving at the 1rst of Wind.’
At first I was surprised but soon nodded in understanding. I remembered that this world had seven months in a year corresponding to the seven attributes: light, fire, water, wind, earth, lightning and darkness. They came in that order and every month had 52 days. Since now was 27th of fire I had like a month and a half left.
(Well shit… I wish I had more time to prepare but beggars can’t be choosers. Since it has come to this might as well ask.)
‘Um… Dad, I was wondering for the time left here can I be given free access to the library.’
The look they were giving me right now was one to remember.
‘Uh... sure as long as you promise not to damage any of the books.’
I bowed in appreciation and left.
(Did not think they would agree so easily. Oh well, I have to use the remaining time to study up cause that guy was really too ignorant. I need to know more about this more about its crafts, cultures and especially its magic)
I was absentmindedly thinking up a routine to follow when I realized I handled this in a much calmer fashion than I should have. I had come to another world and accepted it as is without questioning how the fuck did I get here and what the hell is with my situation. I already knew the answer though, it was the memories of this life that made me feel that nothing was out of place and I was really grateful for it.
I went to my room which was pretty luxurious and lay down to get some sleep. After realizing that I will not get a wink of sleep I went back to the library to get some reading done.
When I entered I found that only my uncle was there with a couple of his librarians. He noticed as the large door makes quite a bit of sound as one entered.
‘Yes? How can I help you Simon?’
I gave him the whole list of what I wanted to read and after some thought he told the librarians to get me a whole stack of books and move them to my room. Afterwards he warned me not to damage them and told me he would take them back after I left. The whole time he had this profound look on his face.
I went back to my room satisfied. I was being kicked out but this was only the first chapter of my life.
