And with that, the first book of Daybreak is over. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
Honestly, I love this story, even if it is an odd fruit. It carries emotional significance for me, as it is the first book I ever wrote, and it is also a mark that lets me see how far I have come. It is an eternal memento of past me, something to immortalize my then-self to the world.
Now, on one hand, exactly because it's the first book I wrote, I am not satisfied with the quality of the first half. I tried editing it (you saw the edited version) but there's only so much I can do now. On the other hand, the second half was pretty okay, to the point where I thirsted to read more as I edited. Normally, at this point, I would publish the story on Kindle. But since I am not satisfied with the first half, I won't. If I ever find the time or energy, I will simply rewrite the first half of this book from scratch, and then we'll see.
Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.
If I do that, then there will probably be a second book. After rereading it for the last few days, I am actually pretty excited to write it. But time will show.
Thank you all for reading and enjoying this story with me. I hope to see you all again, in this or another world, in one or many more adventures.
Until next time,
Winged Wolf
