An Update From C.

An Update From C.

…I’m the dumbest person alive.

Oh, sorry. Welcome back! Ugh, fancy seeing you…here.

This is C, breaking the silence on the story, as it were. I hope you’ve all been patient over this last half a year. I know I have, for plenty of reasons…lovely, wonderful reasons...

I’m just…so…alright, I might as well tell you.

During the…hiatus, while working on chapters…I…lost a lot of my writing.

I made up for it, don’t worry! I’m still planning on uploading fortnightly, and you won’t be getting less chapters. But, needless to say…

…it hurt like the dickens.

Truly, this is my fault. I didn’t back them up and lost the files during an unfortunate storm and power outage. If I had any sort of foresight…well, I wouldn’t be able to write this, ironically. I’m currently working on remedying this sort of thing in the future, so I’ll update you on what’s happening on my end.

But, on some slightly lighter news, new chapters will be coming shortly, specifically starting on the 16th of April. Get ready for the second year at the Venator Academy with your favourite Venator team, as they battle through Wailing, new unknown foes, an annual tournament, the formal, and maybe something more…

This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.

And as another little bonus, I’ve also uploaded a photo of my room to…Instagram. Yes, that’s it. While these introductions would appear to be written, they’re actually recorded live in the room, then transcribed into writing, for a more authentic experience. I figure it makes more sense with me presenting the story, as I do. As always, the link is right here.

And now, for the truly important news.

I’ll...be honest. One of the hardest things to do with art is to admit when what you’ve made is at fault, or with what you could have improved on. Art can be very personal, but it also needs to be made in some practical way, meaning human error crops up here and there. No matter how much you love it, it can never be perfect.

With all that said, I’ve…never been too happy with Chapter 1. It’s serviceable, at best. A little wordy, if I’m being honest. Parts of it are salvageable. But I figured if people are going to get into Day-to-Day Kindred starting with second year, then I want my previous work to match the quality of my current work.

So, on April 1st, I’ll be re-releasing Chapter 1 of Day-to-Day Kindred.

While it’s not required to re-read it, I would encourage any fans who want the full experience to take the time to read it again. I promise, the changes have been a long time coming.

Thank you again for sticking around. Your patience is always appreciated, and I’ll try to reward it as best I can. Again, new chapters will begin on April 16th, so get ready.

Take care.
