I opened my eyes once through the other side. I was in the bright daylight sky falling from high in the sky.
Through the clouds the wind in my face.
I hit the water hard and went unconscious.
Then everything black.
*Cough* *spat* "arragggh"
I awoke on the side of the river bank
Coughing up water.
A woman dressed in hides, backs away from me and grabs her spear and points it's stone blade at me.
I speak in my Native Language.
"Please don't"
And she lowered her spear.
"You speak our language."
She stood up tall and more of her clan surrounded us on the River bank.
I was stood up by one of the Warriors who placed a bag over my head. And rope around my neck and pulled me along.
I was naked but kept my hands around my member as I walked and walked.
Through fields and bushes.
My feet were starting to get cut up.
Till finally we reached. A tribe filled with huts by the thousands.
The bag was taken off my head and I spoke.
"Please don't kill me."
The Warrior woman laughed.
"You are my capture, you will do what I say."
Then she threw a breechcloth. I caught it to the face but quickly caught it in my hands on the rebound.
"Put on the cloth or I might keep treating you like an animal."
The crowd that gathered laughed

I tied the breechcloth, and looked at the crowd, as an old small medicine man walked up, the medicine man made his way across the camp to see me.
I speak to the medicine man.
" Please don't kill me."
The medicine man has a good long look at me then speaks to the warrior woman.
" This man is not from our place, but he is of our blood, he speaks our language, but it sounds a bit different than the way we speak."
The Warrior woman looks at the medicine man.
"We must find out more about him, keep a close eye on him."
Another warrior nudged me on the back with his fist.
"Bring him back to the medicine teepee, we will ask the spirits of his coming."
The medicine man spoke and the male warrior pushed me forward to start walking.
I walked through the vast village following the warrior woman and the medicine man, there were many smoke racks filled with meat.
And housing which seemed to go on for miles then finally a large teepee stood.
I walked in and was told to kneel down before the elder.
I got down and the elder stood in front of me and smudged me then he smoked and prayed.
"This man is one of our people, from a time far from ours, he is very sick."
The Warrior woman stands back a couple steps.
"Not sick like that, he will be healed here."
The Warrior woman nods then leaves the teepee.
The medicine man takes off his buffalo headdress.
"The spirits tell me your name is,drifting winds."
I look at the elder who hands me some tea.
"You must drink this tea and stay here in the camp for the next 21 days.
I will continue to pray for your healing.
Drifting winds, I will ask the spirits of your future."
I look at the medicine man with confusion "and what if I leave?"
With a stoic face he replies.
"You won't make it. Your body can't function without that poison. At Least that is what the spirits are telling me."
The old man had a point. I did need a drink and where am I gonna find that in a place like this and I can't leave the place. I have no clue where I am.
"Where do I stay?"
The elder looked at the buffalo fur on the ground. And pointed to it.
"You can sleep there."
Then the elder puffed some more smoke and started to sing.
Then after 5 mins he sat in silence.
The meditation went on for 15 mins then he started to talk.
"Drifting winds, there is something in your head that's in your eye, I see it flashing.
Can you tell me what happened?"
I tried my best to find the words to explain.
"These people from my time, put eyes behind my eyes, to see what I'm seeing, here in this time."
The medicine man looked at me with curiosity trying to understand what I had just told him.
"They are trying to see us?"
The medicine Man questioned.
I nodded.
"I don't think I can turn it off or take it out without dieing, I have no clue how to return back to where I came from. But I wish to not go back. The people I was sent by are going to kill me if I return back to my time."
The medicine man nodded.
"Well I'm sure we can help you. The first thing we need to do is heal your stomach."
The medicine man stood up and walked to the entrance of the teepee.
"And rest here. I'm going to see if there is any extra meat or berries."
Then he exited. I laid down. Looking at the teepee poles. And soon enough I fell asleep.
