'Tsk, useless!'

I said to myself on how I can't able to come up, who the fuck we are against with, and the reason they are doing this. As I was lost in my thought, Natsumi suddenly touch my back, gently, and then muttered

"Darling, I know you are already in pinch right now but, we have another problem"

"What!?"

As I question the word that Natsumi thrown at me.

'Another one?'

I thought

"Yes, you already knew about my [Gales Embrace] right? I used it to scanned the area, and darling, we have company that we didn't expected, 10th of dozens to 100ths or more enemy were stationed around the village. I can easily cut their numbers off, but my arrows aren't enough. We only came here for {Hobgoblin} extermination, so I only bring less. But because you always keep reminding us to always be ready, I took some extra, but even so, I can't think this would be enough to cut them, even half of their number darling. They are too many of them, I'm sorry"

She said while giving me a scolded puppy look, as her gaze were fixed at the same angle of my belly. I hurriedly embraced her to calm her, and told her

"It's okay, it's not your fault, neither me nor Sheryl expected this, so don't blame yourself"

As I give her a kissed then patted her back to reassure her, she then muttered something shocking

"And also about my skill [Gales Embrace]. If even I can't see any more if the enemy is further than 9 meters, I could still sense their presence a little bit, and darling, in the north-east of this village"

As she pointed her fingers outside the village, she then added

As I was pounding what the fuck should I do, a concern villager approach us, with a worried gaze and asked

He asked, I took a deep breath then answered

"Its Creeper, not Mr. nor Sir adventurer. And I won't cut any chase, call everyone, wake them up, and round them to the [Village Square]. Tell them to move and don't waste any more time, and just go to the [Village Square]. I will explain everything there"

I give him a quick order and request. He was quick and didn't ask anymore question, as he sensed that I can't answer them now, he just nodded and went off, calling every villagers to come out. Everyone who woke up were all confused to what's happening, but they still followed the request that the man asked unto them, some were forced to do so. I was still there thinking, thoroughly ramming my brain and making used to what information I have. I then moved after a couple of minutes thinking. Natsumi followed along.

We are already at the [Village Square], where every villager's already gathered and waiting, Sheryl then rush to my side when she saw me. Village Chief Allan, Uncle Ben, Josh's family, and the villagers, even that man that help me round them up were already there, patiently waiting. I looked around the area and saw a lot of them still in daze, and wasn't sober up when they got forced to wake up.

I saw April in the corner, staring at the...moon? As I look where April was staring, I saw the moon full showing its beauty and divine on us, no clouds surrounding it. As I look back, I then noticed that it wasn't just April, but the other kids too, even their parents were still in daze, but these children were already awake, fully awake, and was staring at the moon. A dot suddenly got connected when I stared at them. The Village Chief Allan then asked me

"Creeper, what's going on here? What's happening?"

It took me a couple of seconds before I snapped back to reality, as I was in dazed on my thoughts. Chief Allan was staring at me, and the other villagers too, they were giving me a questioning gaze and worried look. While Natsumi and Sheryl look at me worriedly and concerned

"Darling?"

"Are you okay?"

They asked, I give them both some kisses before I look towards the village chief, then towards the villagers, and didn't cut any chase as I told them

"We are surrounded"

Like an explosion magic out of nowhere bursted at them, everyone were looking in dismay at each other. Scattered thought, shuttering words, they were all are panicking. I can't blame them, just a few hours before midnight I woke them up, told them to go the [Village Square], and slap them with reality each. The village chief look at me, only at me, and then closes his eyes, took a deep breathe, and asked

"By what? How many? Can you win? Can we help?"

His questions are all straightforward and direct. All questions are needed an answer with no flattery, side-track neither some fluffy puffy words of positiveness, he wants the truth, and the truth is what he will get

"{Hobgoblins}, around 100ths or more, not sure if there's any variant among them, and not counting on what Natsumi's [Gales Embrace] couldn't scan, 9 meter in radius, and after that, she is blind. They are already stationed in each side of the village. There's also a big presence in north-east of the village. Its unknown to us what it is, but I'm sure it will be a tough fight. 50-50 as I can't judge the power of this horde yet, except for their numbers, and...you all can't help, but be ready, and don't pressure us nor get in our way, stay put in this area and don't move. Some of you aren't fighters, just farmers, woodcutters, clothe makers, and hunters. Your hunters might know how to used weapons, but they aren't adventurer, so you can't help us"

I told them. I'm not yet certain if the enemy that Natsumi felt were {Hobgoblins}, but that's the only thing I could think of right now, as we encountered them in the village gate. After I spoke out my remark, everyone then of course were dejected that they can't help, feeling that they are useless, except for Josh who protested

"Wh-what do you mean we can't? I-we, coul-"

I interrupted him before he could finish his words with cold harsh truth

"Josh, you are just lucky to kill that {Hobgoblin}, if they weren't letting their guard down, you should be dead by now. And for the hunters, how many are you? 10? 15? Minus that to the missing 4, then you aren't even half of your population. Your weapons are mostly bows, but your arrows aren't enough. You don't have any skill to use in this darkness, and I can't ask you all to climb that fences, take your bows, and shot for wherever you felt like. I can't let you all waste arrows and act like fools. When it comes to range battle under the light, it will take you a couple of seconds before you can fire an arrow. 3 or 4 of your people would be dead already, because you are all slow and uneasy. And what's more, you aren't used in close-combat, you all be dead when those {Hobgoblin} get closer to you. In short, you are all useless in this battle, so sit down and...and protect whatever you wanted to protect, and don't get in our way"

Josh went quiet after I spoke out. He was then comforted by his mother and sister, while still gripping his sleeping clothes tightly, not only him but all the remaining hunters. I then added

"Stay here and don't go anywhere, not in the [Village Chief Residence], nor in your houses, just here and here you all be. Asked some of your men's to take some flatten woods and build a shelter, wide enough that everyone could be covered when the arrows rained"

"Arrows?"

The one who asked was Chief Allan

"Yes arrows, it seems there's a bow user {Hobgoblin} in the horde"

"Wait what? That's impossible!"

He denied

"But it is, Natsumi were shots with 14 arrows already, 5 first when she run straight here, and then 9 where shot at her when she about to go back in the village gate. But I can't affirm if those are from the {Hobgoblin}, but it's enough for me to say that theirs a much range type in those hordes"

Chief Allan was shocked as he stares at me with hopelessness, can't blame him. Sheryl then spoke

"I could confirm that it's a {Hobgoblin}"

Everyone then looked at her, including us. She then continued

"Darling ordered me to search around the [Village Chief Residence] area for any potential threat. The surrounding area of the house was clear so I went above to see, but before I could stood up, 9 arrows approached me. I was able to dodge them even though it's a surprised attack, thanks to my [Thief Scene], which is an active skill. Its diameter is short, around half a meter, but that's enough for me to help me dodge those arrows, as I was a mobility build fighter. And as I was about to counter attack, I lose track of the enemy's presence. And as I don't have a sensing skill, I used myself as a bait, and when those fools took it, it then fired 6 arrows, which is less. I then saw 2 glittering light in the dark. As I dodge those arrows as I flip myself in the air, I shot them with 2 of my needles, as I used [Hornet Sting]. I was able to kill those two and able to confirm the enemy. So yes, darling-kyaa!!

Sheryl then exclaimed as Natsumi then pinched her cheeks

"Wa-wa-wait, ouch ouch Ouch! Hey! It's whurt!!"

She shuttered at the last part as she asked

"Why the hell do you mean by bait? You careless idiot! Don't you dare do that ever again! You hear me!?"

"Ouch ouch! Awuuuuu oway oway! Sowwwy soweeyyy, soweeyyyyy!"

As Natsumi pinched her cheeks griply. Right now she's acting like a big sister. Sheryl then looked at me, asking for help. Sigh, I then asked Natsumi to stop pinching Sheryl's cheek, which she then pouted. I then brushed off the swelling part of Sheryl's cheeks. Our cute loli then look like a cat that you just finished grooming and patting

"Natsumi is right, that was reckless, don't you dare do it again, okay?"

As I give her a sweet kiss in her forehead, after telling her my request, she then nodded

"Okay, sorry. I will, so that you won't get worried"

I then looked towards the villagers, and told them to be on the move, and asked the hunters for their arrows which they then agreed. Some of the men then hurriedly run to the storage house, some to their respective houses, and some around the village area. They each took woods, equipment, and other stuff to help them build a shelter. While the women took some pillows, blankets, and some coat for the children's, and pregnant woman to wore against the cold night. As everyone were working so hard, I then told Natsumi and Sheryl about my plan.

(???? POV)

"The night has come, midnight shall follow, and the moon will then shine upon us, but there seems to be some rats in that pigs den. To be able to kill some of my men easily, and even react accordingly, this insect might be the rocks to our plan. All commander, command your troops to rain them some arrows! Sorround them, make them screamed in the most beautiful melody of lullaby in this dark evening"

Screamed then echoed the forest as all {Hobgoblin Variants} bowed to their master, their lord, their king, and follow its command. They then give a ferocious gaze towards the village.
