Into The Island Chapter 9-Draft

After walking away from the dungeon I quickly found myself in the general area where the gorilla looking monster was before I found an area that looked to be abandoned so I began making preparations, I modified my body so that I could bury myself underneath a tree without uprooting the entire thing. My new shape has the majority of my mass hovering inside the tree I’m digging under, and my main body being a much smaller crab with arms and legs designed for digging rather than attacking.

I soon had a large area hollowed out under a tree, I chose this tree because of how close it is to the monster's lair, that being a small mound with an opening faced away from the rising sun. Or directly towards the setting sun meaning that it might be set up so that the thing can tell when the sun is going down. But since I had made a hollowed out area, I quickly went to work reinforcing the walls by forming yet another tool this time a flat plane that extends a foot in each direction other than towards me. After another few minutes I had formed a hole that was just big enough for me to reform my whole body, so I did exactly that my entire body quickly formed inside the hole leaving me to continue my plan.

I began hollowing the tree as well finding it much easier than digging, I formed a smaller area off to the side of my hole that I dumped all the waste I made from hollowing the tree out. Then I started to wait, taking this opportunity I started experimenting with chitin because it would be very useful because it could be made far cheaper than the current bone plates making up my body, now I would still be using those but I felt that making my body cheaper to produce so I would be more able to add things was only a good thing. So I started a smaller hole in the opposite wall to the waste hole, and began with making a mini me to start digging down there. His job was to hopefully find a creature down there that would have chitin so I could copy it...

As the hours went by my patience wanted to run thin but I forced it to remain firm, I have to stop acting like a mortal. I can honestly just sit here forever, I can’t imagine a human or any other mortal creature could do that, so I need to stop rushing. Regardless of how long it takes I’m not on a mortal time table any more and that won’t change even once I become a dungeon because from memory all the fictional dungeons lived for as long as they wanted/for ever.

This is why I need to meditate more so that I can force myself to acclimate to being what I am faster, which is kind of funny because just earlier last week I was saying I was forgetting basic things like animals need food and water. I felt a thumping sensation on the part of my body designed to block the hole I sent my mini me down, I waited just a moment then felt the taps more closely in a rhythmic fashion, a code I set up for the mini me so I could keep the hole blocked off.

I opened the hole and for a moment the mini me didn’t come out, then I saw it pulling a spider out of the hole the spider had to be only a little bigger than the mini me but I could see the damage the spider had caused. So I reached forward and healed the damage, then had the little guy added back to me. I looked at the spider corpse, using observe I formed little strings out of bone so I could manipulate the body of the spider.

Soon I had a general idea about how it worked and even more useful a way I can add a third way to move my body. Currently I could move my body almost like any other creature I think about moving my leg and my leg moves, and the other way is by using my mana I can tell the mana inside a limb to move and to take the limb with them and the limb moves like I wanted it to. Now those two things are almost the same thing because whenever I move my body it uses very small amounts of my mana to control it.

The new way I found out is by using a hydraulic system in all of my limbs, I found out that spiders have liquid inside their limbs and by using the pressure inside them they can move their legs. So now I know this I can move my body without using mana at all. So inside my mind I started looking around trying to find memories on hydraulics and if it was possible to make them stronger? I don’t really understand the full scope of this discovery but I’m banking on it allowing me to no longer depend on my mana for basic movement.

So first I need some form of high density liquid so that I can create water pressure, and I really can’t do that, even the liquid bone that I normally use isn’t able to be used because my body naturally absorbs it back into me whenever I stop keeping it away from me, and forcing it to stay liquified is almost more costly for movement than just using mana. I might have to put using that on hold till I figure out how to make some high density liquid, or find a way to use the liquid bone.

In other news I can make chitin, I say that but it's actually bone replicating the abilities of chitin, and it definitely is cheaper, it seems that for the same thickness of my current bone plating it costs about half that price, it also seems to have a few different types, the main one being the hard and inflexible type and the second being thinner and more flexible. Those types cost about the same, and now that I’m comparing the differences, the bone plates are three times heavier… I honestly think I didn’t gain much from the spider, almost nothing because for as cheap as the chitin is it does require more effort to use and doesn’t add anything other than my joints being slightly better now and I weigh slightly less.

Speaking of adding new things to my joints I’m starting to think that the reason I wasn’t able to make cartilage is because I have to make my bones replicate the form and hence the abilities of the thing in question I’ll have to try that when the memory of cartilages properties are more fresh in my head.

I did try making an outer layer of chitin and just making a skeleton inside of that with bones but that didn’t seem to provide any substantial benefits, maybe it would make a difference in combat? I unfortunately don’t want to ruin my ambush of the gorilla thing so I can’t test that. ‘And speaking of the gorilla thing, look who decided to show up.’

Looking through the lenses of two tendrils of bone I sent into the bark of the tree, I could see

the beast was coming back to its lair dragging with it a whole deer corpse minus a chunk out of said deer's neck. The still living of the two was making good progress. Not good enough because I’ve already completed my preparations and now I just need it to go inside its lair and I’ll be able to strike. After spending so long on this island I’ve started to understand what level a creature is. This thing is definitely level two and is possibly very close to level three, I want to do this so I don’t have to worry so much while I’m inside the dungeon. Just thinking of the things that could be inside that death pit from the stories in my past life makes me want to grow some skin so I could have goose bumps.

The gorilla beast had made its way rather slowly into the clearing. I don’t know if the beast was injured but considering that I only need to focus on this one thing I start to use observe, having the other half that was controlling the spider join in using observe to bolster the effects. The first thing I noticed was that yes my original observation of the thing was flawed, I was only looking for things I could use to kill it, I hadn’t even thought about what strengths it could have or that it could have killed me, till I left, went somewhere else and had some time to think that is.

Now looking at the thing and having an extra almost me helping to get information was definitely helping because now I could see that the beast was definitely starving or at least it had such a high metabolism that it was actively eating itself whenever it wasn’t eating. The only reason I can’t agree to it being starving is the muscle to body weight ration on the thing, it has so little mass that its skin is almost frothing of it in chunks yet every time it moves if you look near one of the more balding spots you can see the individual crossing pattern of densely packed muscles.

I also now noticed that its arms while yes they were dragging on the floor it had some form of jewelry or something on its wrist so it must have enough intelligence to be able to make things. Looking further down the wrist towards its hands I can see that each one of its fingers has a single claw with each and every one of them looking jagged and broken beyond use.

Finally the slow lumbering beast dropped the deer then began walking towards a tree away from me. It looked around for a while then began digging a hole, unlike what the muscled arms of the creature would suggest it took quite a long time to dig the three foot by three foot hole it was an unknown depth thought especially considering now that I’m paying attention to the height of the beast and am coming to the realization that it's over five foot eleven inches tall I don’t know if it quite reaches six feet so its arms could be considerably longer than I’m giving it credit for.

My periscope of bone that I sent into the hollowed tree, and the entire reason I needed those tendrils of bone, to provide support to the periscope, started telling me something, listening to what the periscope was describing I moved my mind over to take a look. With my new vantage point to the left and well above the things shoulder I could see into the hole, inside lay a veritable treasure trove of bones some with meat still attached, well rotting meat but it still provided information, that the beast had some reason to need to store food, and even takes precautions to prevent other creatures from finding its food stash.

The beast took a moment after uncovering the bone stash then I could almost tell that the thing was happy, ‘maybe it knows how much food is inside and it knows no one took any of its food?’ One of my other halves provided, that could be the case but this thing will be dead before too soon so it doesn’t really matter if something was stealing its food.

The beasts' tired and weary act disappeared and it stood up and very quickly made its way towards the deer carcass, keeping an eye.. ‘Wait, it doesn’t have two eyes! It has one eye and is constantly swiveling its head back and forth between the deer and its stash, I can use that.‘ The beast did make it to the deer without incident but I could see something was bothering the thing, looking closer I noticed that it actually didn’t have ears so it might be hearing something or it could be not hearing something, that's the only thing that I could see at my current angle, taking this opportunity I told the periscope me start using observe so that I could keep getting information from the higher vantage point, I also took that chance to see if any of my other halves where not doing anything.

Upon doing a quick check up I noticed that the halves who were in charge of keeping the undeath mana contained were actually unneeded and that the foot soldiers were doing a better job at keeping the commanders contained than my halves. So I took the halves who weren't doing anything productive and put them on adding extra stress on the paltry amount of mana that I was refining. I wondered if I could ask my mana again if they were willing to help me by getting stronger, so I called my mana into one spot or at least as much of it as I could. “Hi, everyone I’m about to go fight a real nasty monster and wanted to ask about refining again, oh yea and if you guys don’t I’d definitely like it if you could tell me why.

The mana spoke as per the norm with flashes of images and emotions, a few scant words to act as more fine print to the majority of the conversation. From the vast majority they were okay with doing it they just didn’t because I didn’t ask them first and that kind of scared them, others said that they thought it would hurt and so they wanted to avoid it, and a small amount said they knew what happens to purified mana and it wasn’t pretty. The last one got my full undivided attention, “what do you mean by that, and how do you know what happens?” The mana was taken aback that I singled it out so quickly, it was also scared because of how easily I reduced the area those who said similar things could move around. Once again images and emotions but this time because there were only at max four of them and at least three of those were able to use smaller words to describe what they were talking about.

The four of them painted a very interesting picture, when mana does anything it leaves traces of itself, and purified mana is very much the same, except for that rather than leaving traces it almost like background radiation, the purified mana is more like UV-rays and an X-ray had a hate baby, the purified mana, if their description is correct, has something similar to a half life, but rather than releasing tremendous amounts of radiation then only having half the total amount of radiation, it instead converts normal mana into purified mana all while still releasing massive amounts of energy in the form of “mana radiation.”

….Am I in the process of making infinite energy radiation bombs inside my flipping skull!! I rush towards the area my other halves in charge of refining mana were located, I got to them just in time to see some of the signs that the mana I’d spoke to earlier were talking about they were cycling through colors almost too fast to see, and sometimes they would disappear, that was them cycling through a color spectrum you couldn’t see. They also were intaking mana that was not mine and had no intention of letting any of it out.

Looking towards the other halves in charge of this mess, I saw the four of them playing the mental equivalent to cards, the two who I just assigned here, occasionally looked worriedly at the mana, only to be reassured by the original two that this had been happening for a while and the boss knows about it so it has to be fine… All four halves turned towards me, their faces frozen in curiosity then they felt the mental signals I was sending, those frozen looks melted and they rose up from sitting ready to serve in fixing this issue. I sighed then started undoing the mana inside the refining chamber turned containment cell and called an all hands on deck. I mentaly apologized towards my mana who I was leaving with no choice. I needed their help or this was going to end badly for everyone. I'd like to think only on this island but I have a sneaking suspicion that it was going to cause issues for the rest of this world…

The first step in trying to get this situation under control was to stop the addition of more mana. Thankfully I have plenty of experience doing that so sending a half to do that I had confidence that there would be no issue for the foreseeable future so far as more outside mana being added to this dumpster fire.

The second step was to have everyone join in holding the containment cell firmly in place, I made sure to specify not to push the cell closer to them, and to give up ground as long as they could keep the structural integrity of the shell. Meeting my orders layer after layer of energies came surging forward covering the bubble that kept the mana nukes in the making sealed. First up was my LF. I wanted to put them back further but I didn’t have enough of it to make a difference anywhere else, it covered the entire sphere three times but was able to condense itself so that it was sitting right on the outside of the bubble.

The next up was my undeath mana. It was the second lowest number so it had the same issue that my LF had, they chimed a toon that reminded me of some marching cadences from my memories, but each and everyone of those crazy, militaristic, fanatics sent waves of willingness and I want to say love out towards me. They each trusted me with their life, not one blamed me for causing the situation and they all believed that even if they all die, not a single one of those deaths would go to waste. “I can’t fail them, they’ve done so much for me.” It took just a few breaths, that's all I needed to memorize the faces not just of the higher ups, who looked a bit different but I could tell they weren’t yet fully done. The undeath mana lost its form yet still kept its rigid military structure and encased their lords enemies four times.

I noticed my mana the most numerous of them all coming in last. I wouldn’t call them lagging behind the other two energies and I realistically couldn’t compare them to fanatics and something that has no intelligence to even understand what type of danger it was in. But the point still stood, even if it was a bad point, my mana the vast majority was unwilling to do what I asked of them.. So I sent a question to the mana, that if they didn’t want to be on the front lines then they could not be involved but they had to help out somehow.

My mana paused, waiting for me to let go of them so they could make their own decisions. ‘You’d think because of how hostile it is my mana would need me to hold it back from bursting the bubble the entire time.’ But it seems that my mana doesn’t consider the literal nukes inside me as an outside force that deserves their full hostile intent.

All in all after most of the mana left the possible ground zero for a massive magical nuke, only half of my mana went towards the sphere, the brief flecks of gold, that wasn’t already being covered by undeath mana, from the LF disappearing first then the dark gray of my undeath mana was quickly swallowed by the sheer amount of mana covering them. I watched with as much patience as I could muster as the sphere of mana slowly closed ranks and began shrinking to an almost reasonable level. Then I looked towards my other halves; they in total now numbered ten but I could tell that each one of them was able to create a double of themselves without cost to their mental functions.

(Author note: MC is counting that one half that he sent to turn off the mana regen)

“Listen my fellows, I have to say we’ve got ourselves quite a pickle here. And I need us to keep this sphere from collapsing in on itself or expanding… And yes we obviously need to diffuse the nukes but that's more if we survive long enough then we’ll start doing something about that.”

I don’t think I needed to give myself a speech especially considering I could have done that for the mana and maybe gotten more to help here, I won’t say it was a bad speech but it was misdirected.

Nevertheless my halves nodded and waited for orders. “Glad we’re all in agreement first all of you make your doubles and then we’ll start with positioning you where you're needed.”

My mana complied and I could tell that the half I sent to deal with the extra mana also made one, I tried to make one of my own but in a way these are my “doubles” so it would be just a tad broken if I could make a double who could also have ten with their own doubles…

I forced my mind out of that pipe, fever dream combo and started mentaly ordering my halves, and their “quarters'' to locations they would be able to make the most difference, soon I ended up with two circles of them the first being made up by nine points as one of the halves is fulfilling my earlier order. And the next circle had ten because the aforementioned half was able to send their quarter to join in. I sat directly beneath the sphere so that I could maximize the amount of control I could use over the almost refined mana. Sitting down mentaly I started meditating to gain a better look at what was happening inside the containment cell.

Inside I saw the remaining symptoms described to me by those earlier mana. The last bits of outside mana were being converted to “refined mana” and I could see some of them being confused by the sudden lack of outside mana. They were starting to become agitated ‘Nothing I can do to fix them finding out.’ So I focused harder on the conversion process, I only was able to watch very close to the end and the middle, the lack of new outside sources must have happened right before any new ones started getting made, that's something good at least, the more I watched the more I was able to tell differences in the mana, the ones that had originally volunteered to be turned into refined mana were still there and they were by far the most seeped in mana radiation, the mana that came near them was almost immediately turned into refined mana. And other than the two original refined mana none of the others were intelligent.

Using the added brain power that my split mind ability provides, I don’t think I can use the other mana here; they might be converted to refined mana as soon as they tried to fight. I still need them to keep up the barrier so that was going to be a risk that I had to keep an eye out for the remainder of this incident. And after a few more minutes of watching, I think the entire sphere was aware that no new ones were being created including the intelligent ones, and with my element of surprise not wasted but used up I started to make my attack considering I no longer had to worry about being found out.

Minding myself not to use mana, I tried to form a connection to one of the newer nuke manas. I had discovered an hypothesis for why the refined mana goes berserk; it's because there are little storms of mana types going at it trying to kill each other. I only realized that fact because I had spent so much time underground surrounded by earth mana so I’m more than capable of picking it out of a crowd. Or in this case a ball of random elements trying to kill each other.

The reason I’m going towards the younger ones is because they aren’t yet stabilized in their destruction meaning that if I pulled them apart I can at least get rid of some of the younger ones. Hopefully I can make a difference in this situation before it boils over in a bad way. My will formed a line between me and the raging mana, right before my will made contact with it I formed it into a grasping appendage and grabbed the elements that I felt a connection to and pulled..

At first nothing, for a split second nothing more, and for just a moment longer I felt that I had forgotten something vital when it comes to dealing with anything related to nuclear type energies. I for the life of me couldn’t remember but I just hoped it wasn’t something that's going to get me killed. But the peace wouldn’t last because as my will tugged at those few elements I felt a connection to I felt it *pop* then the elements disappeared without a trace.. The raging mana inside their prison stood still, only now did I realize how loud they were up until this point.

Then they started charging the walls of their prison trying to break free. My only saving grace was that the two older ones stayed imobile and looked on with passive disinterest. ‘Geuss making an entire group of mana would do that to you.’ Not willing to let the entire group of mana reach the barrier I turned my new found ability to manifest my will up to “11” and grabbed all the elements out of the cores of each and every mana that was charging me.

And once again my will didn’t fail in accomplishing the goal I asked of it. In this case I was just a bit too general to see the problem till it was painstakingly obvious. Not every one of those manas had elements that I could yank away. This left just under half the original number that I had a feeling that I had no control over those elements. Looking towards the older mana I wanted to gauge their reaction. They had smiles etched on their faces, I could tell that they expected this to happen..

Then I smirked as well. I didn’t try my luck last time because I felt like they might have some back up plan, and while those grim smiles might say confidence there was one odd one out between the two. My entire will surged following my guidance to focus on one target. I knew this one was the rights one because when I poofed the other manas out of existence he looked thoughtful for a second then became scared. Its face went back to normal but I had seen that and it was all the help I needed in picking the weak link out from them. So once my will made contact with the single older mana who had been singled out. He simply poofed out of existence in much the same way the others of it’s kind did… I think everyone inside the prison was expecting more of a clash because even the mostly rabid mana who was ineffectual clawing at the barrier keeping them from unleashing hell stopped and glowered at the dissipating dust from one of their great leaders. The other old nuke mana was also staring at the same spot with a confused half smile, said smile was disappearing as the seconds went by.

I’d rather not have to deal with this thing getting angry and attempting to breach containment so I bounced my will from the ground of the prison chamber towards the other “big boy” My will sharpened when it made contact with the mana. I’d hate to have to try pulling these other types of elements from them but if I’m going to do it then I’m gonna do it while I can pull you apart from the inside!

My will grabbed hold, for the first time since I started fighting these guys something was able to put up resistance. I had to keep tugging, I could tell that it was intelligent enough to make a good attempt at escaping its prison, causing me no shortage of pain and other issues if I even survived in the first place that is.

I kept meeting the mana’s attempts at fleeing head on, not ever giving it the chance to get close to the edge of the barrier… As the minutes wore on I could tell even though it was fighting harder, it was losing steam, small flakes of elemental dust being torn from it into the ether or some other place for all I cared because it's better than my enemy having it.

The mana seemed aware of its predicament, looking around the smaller mana nukes were also in the same boat they even had less of them than previously.. ‘It seems like my ability to not get tired is also transferred to my will? Or maybe refined mana naturally loses strength after a while of not having mana?’

Doesn’t really matter if it’s either option or even both, I still have a shot and thankfully so because otherwise that barrier would have slipped up eventually and let mana inside… I continued fighting the intelligence the mana seemed to have possessed only a few short minutes ago, has long since left into the realm of obscurity normally reserved for celebrities who do crazy things for their “ten minutes of fame.”

Ignoring the odd cultural information that I just gained, my focus zeroed in on the mana in front of me. I’ve never had the opportunity or the misfortune to see a live demonstration of nuclear fission in either of my lifes, but I can only imagine it looking like what I’m currently seeing. The individual strands of reality, at least as I saw them, being pulled apart then even further falling from being strands pulled from the tapestry of reality, to motes of dust almost vibrating with potential energy.

The nuclear mana was none too pleased by the light show being put on at the expense of his life, causing it to try one final time to breach the containment. I don’t want to believe that it could escape now after all the damage I’ve caused it but I’m unable to let myself relax enough to make that assumption. Keeping in mind that all the experiences in this life dictate as almost a universal truth that animals who are dying will kill themselves to take you down with them, I weave an extra cushion of my will in front of the raging mana ready to soften the coming blow to the barrier.

I still continued my use of will to pull apart the nuclear mana, going so far as to have the cushion it was about to run into also start to pull the strings apart even more. The smaller ones had started to show the same symptoms as the bigger one, slowing down and even some of their entire bodies poofing like they never existed; each one of them bringing more hope that I only needed to hold on for a little longer till I outlasted the nuke mana and could consider myself the victor.

And every other moment where the sprinting nuclear bomb of mana closed the distance towards the barrier not slowing down in the least. Though an obvious price to the reckless charge would be that it was losing mass and strength at a rapid pace. I know that if it reaches the barrier, looking at it I should have known better how could I forget that the walls are made of mana. Now while refined mana might normally only convert outside mana into refined mana, I have a feeling that a crazy refined mana who has nothing better to do with its life would make a very good attempt at reducing the barrier to nothing.

Realizing my fault in reasoning is all well and good but I won’t be taking this many projects at once again, I desperately started to work towards finding a weakness to exploit in my foe.. My eyes might be deceiving me but I know for a fact that it at the very least looks important, looking further past the threads making up the refined mana, I can see individual elements making those strings, and just a little further I can make out the faint shadow of something. And while I’d never claim to be an expert at telling if things are important or not, I would definitely hide something important in the depths of a swirling minefield of nuclear energy.

Doing one quick check I see that everyone of the refined manas had one of them. I decide that there's nothing that could go worse so I might as well try and take these guys out before they break free of containment. Thinking those thoughts my will expanded from where it was previously attempting to act as a cushion it was now acting to push through the larger refined mana to make its way towards the smaller ones.

And make its way through the first refined mana it did, and with very little effort might I add to my notes for later use. Then my will continued to rush through the refined mana overtaking them like a tide.. Then I felt it, the refined mana was not dead just heavily wounded it would die as long as I contained it inside here ‘I won’t let this thing out no-matter what!’ Forcing myself to go in for one final push I now understood how that rouge mana from all those weeks ago felt when I retreated into one part of me to make it harder to kill me. I was noticing that something was going wrong, at first it seemed like my will didn’t have anything like a limit to how much I could use it but now that both me and the refined mana have made our lines in the sand I can tell that the walls of the barrier have gotten weaker, thinner, I could see the LF swirling just on top of the barrier now. They were going to be the first casualties if anything went wrong.

And my will was starting to become sluggish not responding with the previous speeds, the force that I could output was increasing but I wasn’t able to take advantage of that with the ever slower top speed that it was able to respond to my commands. I was only just able to catch the refined mana in pincher maneuvers between my will every now and then, each time I’m able to deal massive amounts of damage, though the opportunities to do that were becoming more and more rare.

As the refined mana got closer and closer to the barrier it was able to dig into its reserve of energy and go just a little faster, causing me to miss more attacks. The few attacks I was getting in I was able to make count as much as I could but it was getting harder to consider my chances of stopping it from getting out of containment.

‘If it’s going to get out I’m going to make sure that it doesn’t have any chance of causing damage outside.’ Thinking this I start making decisions on how I’ll be able to finish the nuke mana, coming up with only one option. If I have my undeath mana and LF pin the thing down I’ll be able to catch up to it and finish it off.

Having the one decision didn’t make doing it any easier, considering that I would lose a large number of both of the groups. Both of said groups trust me fully and are willing to die to accomplish whatever goal I wanted them to accomplish. I almost want to go back on my decision to stop the refined mana, considering the cost of the deaths to each of those two valuable groups.

I can’t go back on my desire to rid the world of something I’ve caused. ‘Especially because the thing in question definitely won’t bury the hatchet when it gets out.’ Rather than letting the refined mana charge into my lines I give a mental order for the LF and undead mana to charge.. For a moment nothing I wondered if something outside was stopping them from coming in.. A second or so more I was almost convinced that something had happened then I saw my undeath mana seeping through the barrier, then leaping towards the refined mana. I wondered where my LF was so I started looking around only to find my LF had bunched up above the undeath mana and was reinforcing it so that the undeath mana wouldn’t take as many losses.

I continued my charge at the refined mana who was being pinned down nicely. Making my way towards it I soon was able to stab my will into its entire body, the refined mana froze for just a second and I could feel the remaining particles making up the body of the refined mana give out and disperse..

I let out a sigh then sent my energies out to continue what they were doing previously.. “Can’t believe I didn’t lose more mana and LF there, I could have lost everything if it had escaped..”

I’ll be surprised if I even have half the amount of energy that I used to have. Thinking this I disperse the barrier…

I noticed the sound, a faint buzzing in the air inside the containment cell that I hadn’t noticed till it was gone, then I noticed the weight that was pressuring my mind had disappeared without a trace. Then I felt the sheer weight of energy inside the barrier. I almost could imagine the wave of force and mana being shot out from me as the epicenter of an explosion rivaling that of some of the largest nukes in my old world. I know this because I was under a tree now I’m in open air with zero dirt anywhere around me. The entire area that I was in was gone without a trace.

As an undead blessed by pure undeath mana all limits on having stats vs. not having stats. Are removed as long as it was caused by your being undead, and your stats are slightly higher.

Life force cultivation- you have compressed your life force into a higher purity than an undead would normally have access to, this has made it so that you are quite capable of using your life force to heal and strengthen others and yourself. You now have a bonus to how fast you heal, how effective your Con, Str, Dex, Int, and Wis are and will be able to heal even as an undead due to your blessing from a representative of undeath.

Bone purifier*2- Your bones have undergone a number of baptisms by earth mana, you have pushed it away continually your bones now will be stronger against creatures with earth mana inside them. You can choose to expel all of your current earth mana to regain bonuses from the earlier level of this trait. Those are your mana being able to freely move through and outside of your body. You will find a bonus to Con, and that now you can fit far more energies inside of yourself. Your Str and Dex also get a bonus

Form modifier- You have modified the base nature of your body, this normally wouldn’t provide any noticeable changes other than in height and other things of that nature. But you took it one step above the norm by modifying small details to make the body more efficient, by modifying your form you can increase or decrease the bonuses to most of your abilities, earning bonuses to your future modification attempts and you can now with enough time and patience

Why am I still alive? I don’t have any HP or LF to keep me alive, then the drowsiness hit me, and for the first time in my life I fell to the ground fast asleep, only now noticing with the final seconds of being awake that I was on the ground at the bottom of a very large crater. “Guess that makes more sense than me just hovering in the air.”
