Sam didn’t know how he had gotten here, but here he was. He’d fantasized about this exact scenario of course. This exact decision even. But faced with the reality, he was stumped. He was in what appeared to be normal woods. The typical tall oaky trees he was used to hiking in. Except they had faces. And were talking. Which had led Sam to conclude that these were probably not normal woods. Other than that small detail, it looked exactly like the woods that he was walking through only moments ago, and that he had been camping in all weekend. Sam was even still wearing and carrying exactly what he’d had with him before: a worn in pair of blue jeans, a plain white t-shirt, and his backpack which contained beef jerky, a pocket knife, a refillable water bottle, and his phone. He’d always expected a fantasy world to feel more fantastical, whereas this just felt like reality with talking trees.
Sam tried to look around and spot more differences, some other otherworldly element to make his current predicament feel less like a dream, but he failed. There was nothing else. Except for the giant glowing interface in front of him. Sam didn’t really have an explanation or that. It read:
Welcome to the land of Mastrya, Traveler. Would you like to stay? Y/N
This was not what led to his confusion though, he had instantly agreed. It was the following prompts that had him perplexed.
Citizenry accepted
...Calculating Base Attributes…
...Analyzing Physical and Mental Makeup...
Base Attributes Calculated.
...Calculating Class Potentials…
…Analyzing Base Attributes...
…Analyzing Personality Matrix…
...Analyzing Goals and Desires…
Available Classes Calculated.
This all flashed before Sam’s eyes in the span of seconds, and was accompanied by an unpleasant bodily feeling, as if his entire being was laid bare to invisible, barely perceptible hands that traversed his entire body. Immediately after this, the following screen appeared:
Welcome, new Citizen, to Mastrya. You have been analyzed and integrated. You are now eligible for the below classes. Choose wisely.
This was weird, but he was excited. He was genuinely content with his life before this; he had a family he enjoyed, a girlfriend who made him happy, and friends who truly cared about him. Yet even so, he always dreamed something like this would happen to him. He was content, yes. But it was the kind of contentment that came from realizing what he had, what was possible to have, and appreciating how lucky he was. But he also felt complacent. He wanted more. But he wanted the impossible, and knowing that his wants were impossible, he was happy with what he had. Until now.
Having no idea what was implied by Citizenry, base attributes, or any of the other terms he had seen moments ago, Sam decided to ignore the implications for now. He began to look at the class choices before him-- before him was a weird way to put it though. It was like suddenly he just knew the information being presented to him, stuff that he was decidedly sure he did not know moments ago, and his ‘seeing’ of the information was just him visually recalling what he now already knew. It was strange to experience, and even stranger to describe. Yet Sam went through it regardless, and thought over which class to pick. He decided to start exploring his environment, and potentially try to find a town or people, as he went through all of the information and choices being presented to him.

Bloodluster
Rare Class
NOTICE- ALL CLASSES ABOVE BASIC LEVEL WILL HAVE HIGHER POWER BUT HIGHER LEVELING REQUIREMENTS.
Bloodlusters are feared across the lands. Once enraged, they will go to any lengths to achieve their desires/goals.

Would you like to accept this class?
While he could instantly see some clear perks to having this class, and even some ways to negate the negatives associated with Bloodlust, he felt that it was too risky and he didn’t like the lack of control he’d be saddled with. Sam took no offense to the Intelligence and Wisdom requirements that he apparently didn’t meet, and indignation toward failing to meet them in no way impacted his decision to quickly discount this class.
Respawner
Unique hidden class

And this is what brought him to his current dilemma. Obviously this was a no-brainer. All his other options paled in comparison to Respawner. And it was a unique hidden class! Heroes were the ones who got those hidden, once in a lifetime classes. But could the decision really be this easy?
He was not worried about the class’s abilities, it was a freaking hidden class! He just assumed he would qualify for multiple good options, not just one. He wondered what requirements he had met to qualify for the Respawner class. This led to his current indecision.
Sam debated: Should he choose the Respawner class despite his qualms? Should he ignore his hesitation regarding the Bloodluster class and work to utilize its incredible strengths while negating its quirks? Or should he try to hold off on a choice, in the hopes of qualifying for an even better unique or hidden class?
