With a serious expression on his face, Shadow gripped his shield tightly and said, "Then answer this, why only the three of us?"

Axel turned and walked slowly through the open door, saying, "Watch." The two followed him.

The city did not live up to their expectations. Even with the highly developed civilization, it was just too quiet.

Shadow and King Kurtis were surrounded by a dozen of attackers, standing back to back, the two glance at each other and shared a nod before cooperation with each other.

One of the gearwork defender guardians awakens and senses danger right away. Axel was the target of its enormous golden arm, which missed him entirely and destroyed a building.

As he charged up his right arm, Axel walked sassily on the arm with his right arm on his hip. A steam breath attack was then launched by the giant guardian.

However, it did nothing more than warm him up a bit.

After stopping his movement, Axel put his hand on the guardian's arm and turned it entirely into ice. Then, using his right hand, he attacks the guardian's head with an energy slash.

Axel then descended to the ground, admiring his ice creation as if it were the best artwork he had ever created.

Everything fell silent when he heard footsteps behind him.

Upon turning around, he said, "I feel so special." Observing Pi in front of him.
