CHAPTER 31

A Long sword gleamed in the sun, its edges were visible sharp, the hilt was that of red phoenix wings, the base of the hilt had a polished round ruby and the steel had a blood-red tint to it with a yellow tint along the center.

Master Sada took him to a special blacksmith to look at weapons. It was directly from the disciples of Throm the god of smithing. Apparently, the leader of their familia owed him a favor which means Ezio got a high-tier weapon that could follow him for many years.

The sword was breathtaking, truly worthy of nobility. Ezio could not have been happier with his choice of a weapon. Not only that it paired nicely with his abilities. It was telling that even Master Sada was envious of the blade. The blade's name was Kasai.

Kasai was just long enough to be held with one hand or grip it and give a two-handed power strike. Encouraging wide-sweeping attacks. Frankly, Ezio knew immediately that style of combat suited him well.

While he watched his master take out his own sword he smiled. It truly was a match made in heaven to get the preeminent combat expert for swordplay as a master.

“Let's start our practice so we can get to the hot springs at a reasonable time tonight alright?” Master Sada said as he wrapped his hand with a long thin cloth.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

The Hot springs! The memory of running into the blue-eyed girl again caused him to snarl to himself slightly. Her personality was just completely incompatible with his own. None of the decorum or understanding. In the upcoming combat exhibition tournament, Ezio was going to be sure to beat her specifically.

"Ezio we need to get you trained up on specific longsword techniques so hurry up." His master said impatiently while Ezio had been distracted by his blade's beauty.

"Be prepared to fight me!" When Ezio looked up he saw his master charging him with his own one-handed curved training sword. "Defend yourself."

Ezio readied his blade and his will as he faced down his master. Who slowly drew out his own sword.

“It’s time to learn the hard way, my young disciple.”

Without any warning, Master Sada burst forth with a wave of pure energy bringing his blad above his head to bring it cratering down towards his neck. While Ki dulled the blade it would still end up hurting badly.

Bringing his own blade up he parried the strike rolled clockwise away from the initial point of contact and sent a sweeping strike towards his legs.

Master Sada didn’t hesitate and jumped over the sweep and sent a kick squarely into Ezio’s upper chest as he was standing back up, sending him into a backflip only to land face-first in the dirt.

“Good instincts young disciple, but you need to get up and learn to look into the future of what we will do,” he said, giving his hand to help Ezio up.

As soon as Ezio stood he walked ten paces away and faced him again with his blade at the ready. Ashikaga Ezio was in for a rude awakening as far as he could tell. Master Sada doesn’t play around.
