I walked into my room and plopped down on my bed.
"mmmmmmm." I sighed
They never tell you that when one of your legs is shaped more like a tree trunk than an actual limb it comes with perpetual back pain.
My gaze to my favorite scratch in the ceiling, and I reached across my nightstand to retrieve my thermos filled with room-temperature water. I pulled my right arm across my chest to the other side of the sheet, carefully to ensure none of the 4 bony spikes atop would cut into the covers. I needed some new rubber tips, for the claws and the spikes.
I was rather certain my left leg was worse off overall, but the lack of my right thumb was constantly troublesome, I'd for sure consider the fusion between my ring and middle finger to be lesser.
With a clunk my thermos once more was placed upon its resting place, I opened the nightstand and rummaged around. it didn't take long before I found what I was looking for, a notebook 'n' pen. I got up and carried myself to the desk at the end of the room, turned on my lamp, and began this week's report.

I waved my wrist around and placed my pen back in the spine of my notebook. I pushed myself up, turned off my lamp, and returned to the loving embrace of my bed. I placed my notebook back in its rightful space and sat there in the dark.
My eyes were thoroughly heavy so I let that weight drag them close. It didn't take long before I began to drift away.
Then there was a flash, bright blue in color.
I jolted out of bed and immediately tumbled off the side, landing in a heap of limbs and pillows on the floor.
I turned my gaze up at the intrusion, and I stared, then I, stared a little more.

You know what it's like to know what you want right there? But be aware that you simply can't have it. It's the thing people dream of, awakening. Except, my mobility is far too limited for Rogue. The lack of my right thumb would entail only 1 handing as a warrior, Cycle Priest is off the table, spending my time getting my shit kicked in doesn't seem all that great for the living aspect of life.
Realistically that leaves the casters. Mage would make my lack of mobility even more detrimental. Weave Priest, seems most appealing, Ancient Priest, might not be that bad of a choice, but, it doesn't, feel right?
Then there it was, All Or Nothing, risk everything for a chance at an above-average class.
I live a much better life than most people. I don't have to ransack dungeon resource treasuries every other week. so, even if I failed the gamble, my life would still be good. And no one would know. Even if I did fail.
Was this the type of decision I should be making while sleep-deprived? Hell no. Was I gonna listen to sound advice? Of course not!
It's always been this way. I've always played it safe, it was reasonable then and still is now. But I don't want reason. There's an egregiously foolish thing to do. And for once.
I'll do it.
