I am suddenly placed in a desert like plain, with little trees and plant life, and contrary to what I might usually feel after such a sentimental moment, I feel like throwing up because of that god awful system transport, though I'm able to swallow it back as I notice a new system screen in my peripherals, except this one is counting up to 100. I honestly have no idea what it is, but the system seems to have no intentions of catering to my interests, I have a feeling this isn't going to be a fun time, so might as well embrace the peace. I sigh and as I lay down the number ticks to 100 and i am startled up by a new system window

wow I can see why I was placed here. I'm guessing the average is 10, meaning I suck. The only interesting thing is the skill, what is {everchanging will}? Well I cant really find out even though I want to. But I dont think I would have survived a deadly interaction if I didn't bring my knife, I'm glad I stayed calm.

wow that's a lot, mostly it seems like its to construct stuff, and to divide up into 2 groups with the beds, 10 valued people and then the rest dont have beds, probably to create anger in the masses to further incite killing, but overall it seems good

as the system window disappears someone goes to the middle of the pains and shouts "who here is a carpenter!?" seems like they got the memo. Around 4 people raise their hands and he calls them up and instructs them to start working immediately, which some reject, but the man somehow convinces them and they run off to build a perimeter, so I look away and check on the general state of others, most are confused or still looking wordlessly at the system window, with the only exceptions being me, a few others, the leader type person, and the carpenters.

…Strange. Why am I accepting this? I lay down and sigh it was like this before I got here too, I was much calmer than other people when preparing. I'm never this calm. I wonder why. Its unnatural. but honestly thinking about this is much more trouble than its worth. maybe if I keep this up Ill become one of those cold anime protagonists who are cold, but really, it is strange.

I stand up and start walking towards the middle, no real other place to go other than the forest where the beast wave is coming from, and I dont think I want to be there. I wonder if we have enough wood to build a house, and I honestly doubt its a coincidence we have this many carpenters on our side, the system is helping us a bit. Just a bit.

the person notices me as I walk closer and they start talking "oh, hello! are you a carpenter too? we're almost out of tools, so its a good thing you came before we ran out!"

I respond with a simple "I'm not a carpenter" and they look at me weird, maybe they realized it's not normal to be over here already as most players are just now walking over here, honestly I bet there's a good joke to be made here, but impending death looming over our heads is not a good time to make jokes, not even in my own head, it would be like laughing at a joke someone told you before during a lecture. You will never forget how people look at you, their eyes full of mockery because the teacher stopped because of you. Except it would probably more like if it was at your funeral, that would get far worse looks

as more people come, each getting asked the carpenter question, the last tools get taken and put to work and the crowd gathers into an assembly type structure, with me slipping in towards the end, with out leader getting ready to make a speech, having already assumed the role of a leader with their impromptu, well, leading. I stand and wonder what they will come up with to keep us together. remembering I was supposed to tell people that how the system is trying to pull us apart I mentally facepalm and decide it will have to wait.

Our leader clears their throat and starts speaking "hello everybody, it seems like we have been taken by an alien creature or thing to this tutorial against our will however, if we work together we can survive this this, and I rose, hope to be your guiding light in the tutorials darkness" rose then takes a bow and many clap and I awkwardly join in, the speech was ok I guess? People seemed to really like it though, I'm not really sure why, but with people liking them this much, hopefully they will lead up good, and lead us to beating stage 1

I'm sure nothing will go wrong on the way.
