1: not a good time for relaxing (Remade)

I sat back in my couch, and practically melt into it with my cup of coffee, ah I must have bags under my eyes now but overtime demands I stay up late , I must be developing back problems now with how horrible office chairs are. I switch the channel to some comfortable background noise to my thoughts. I wish I didn't have to work. but I have to just to keep up with bills.

Just thinking about it makes me feel terrible. I sit up in the couch and start texting my friend, and we somehow get into banter about if cheese belongs on pizza, and I cant even concieve how he came up with the idea it shouldn't go on. And as I'm about to respond to "the Sause tastes better" suddenly my world goes dark for a second and-

It feels as if I got hit in the head with a metal pipe, I'm dizzy and it hurts oh so bad. And as if it couldn't get worse I'm confronted with a pale blue window that's floating and translucent

Hello earthians! Your planet has been chosen for systematic integration, rejoice as now your species can rise to new heights and gain power unimaginable to your feeble minds before, the power to level mountains and for powerful creatures, even planets! But dont get to eager yet, as it will take time, either through harnessing universal energies, or as you people call it, cultivation, or harnessing the power of the system, or even both! But first as a gift, we will give you a gift so that you may survive in this harsh world we (now you too!) call home. We will give you 5 months of protection excluding threats from your home world and a tutorial so that humanity can raise heros and survive after the protection period!

to apply for the tutorial please raise your hand and say "apply" then select yes in the following panel.

wow, um. First of all its earthlings, not the gibberish that the system chose. Second, this is probably a hallucination. Third, I blame the pizza argument for making me crazy, speaking of. I look down at my phone and see an unread notification from my friend, and I tap it, seeing the text "do you see that blue window" with plenty of spelling mistakes, he must be panicked too, I respond with a simple "yes" and get up from the couch only to be started back onto it by another system window.

as you in the lower percentile of power on your planet you have been forcefully drafted into the pre-tutorial to acclimate you to the standard of power to survive. You will be transported in in 15 minutes, please prepare accordingly

as I saw the newest notice, even as it disappeared my eyes remaining wide, only as the timer in the corner of my vision started ticking did I get up, slip my phone in my pocket, and start preparing.

I grabbed my old collage backpack, and started unloading clothes into it, before heading to the kitchen and grabbing mostly stuff that would last long, by now my breath was heavy from the running and the stress, and there were still so many minutes left, humans weren't made to adapt to changes this fast!

Only 12 minutes were left on the clock, and all I've managed so far is clothes and some scarce food, they said they server preparing us for a standard of survival which probably means fighting right? God I could hear sirens blazing outside and once in a while banging on the door, people were becoming desperate which is all the more reason to not let them in. But what matter right now is a weapon, I could grab a kitchen knife but those aren't for fighting. Wait I have a hunting knife from when I wanted to be a hunter!

with only 9 minutes left on the clock I grabbed a hunting knife and put it in the front pocket of my backpack, thank god I didn't loose the holder. as I got most of the essentials I was able to slow down my beating heart and think more rationally. I went and grabbed water, getting enough to survive me a few days.

5 minutes. What should I do with this time? Ah. I should say goodbye to my family and friend, I wont see them again anytime soon if I'm lucky, and never again if I'm not. I once again calm my heart and pull out my phone and sit on my couch for one last time. Texting them each a goodbye, with my friend's ending with "cheese does belong on pizza" just to add some humor to it. At least they know where ill be going now.

1 minute left. I get comfortable for probably the last time in my life and sigh, hearing the chaos of the tv in the backdrop of my mind. Even if I do make it back, I hope I get to see my parents again, and my friend. He was a good friend

10 seconds left. There is never enough time in the world to say goodbye when you need it. I didn't even get time to read the last text message I got before a pale blue light appeared before my eyes and whisked me away to some weird tutorial where I would likely never come back, leaving only electronics.

in an park somewhere someone seemed panicked, frantically texting someone with an axe in hand while breathing heavily next to a mutated dogs corpse, pointedly ignoring a few system screens, staring wide eyed the the screen.

----------------------------------------

at an undisclosed location, someone smiled knowingly as they sat on a monsters corpse, surrounded by a few more, "oh this is AWESOME!" and they laughed as they looked at a system screen
